About this house rental
Welcome to River Ridge Lodge!
Our cozy, authentic log cabin is located in the beautiful White Mountains perched on a ridge overlooking the Wild Ammonoosuc River. To get to our cabin you will cross over one of the historic Bath Covered Bridges and discover one of our hidden treasures, the spectacular Swiftwater Swimming Hole (known as 'the Big Eddy'). The river is also a well known area for trout fishing as well as panning for gold and gems!
Our beautiful, river-front log cabin, is unique from other log cabins. River Ridge Lodge is very open, bright and airy with cathedral ceilings, skylights and golden colored pine woodwork. The cabin is right above the river with its constant soothing sounds that will relax and unwind you as you sit on the expansive farmer's porch or enjoy the warmth of the sun on the very private sunning deck with its own private outdoor shower. With its South-West facing to capture the day long sun, River Ridge Lodge will deliver an experience of pure tranquility.
If you do not wish leave the world behind completely, you will also enjoy the modern amenities of satellite TV with a big screen HDTV and streaming channels, plus WIFI. However, if you do leave the property, cell phone signal is very limited in any direction for about 15 minutes. It truly is a retreat!
The 1st and 2nd floor each have a queen bed and a full bathroom. The Master Bath has a beautiful, luxurious walk-in tiled shower. The 1st floor has an open kitchen, dining area and living room with a gas-burning wood stove and Big Screen HDTV. The large front porch is furnished with Adirondack chairs and chaise lounges. It is a the perfect spot for relaxing, reading and observing nature. The Wild Ammonoosuc River is just at the foot of the hill with parking and access to a cleared 'beach' area at the edge of the Wild Ammonoosuc River. Bring folding chairs and a lunch or bottle of wine and enjoy a cooling dip in the crystal clear river water.
Our Cabin is located one mile from the historic center of Bath, home to the famous Brick Store. The Brick Store, built in 1824, today is America's the oldest continuously operating General Store. Bath is actually the home of three covered bridges with the Bath-Haverhill Bridge being the oldest covered bridge still in use in NH. Bath is noted for its historic architecture. Much of the Victorian era architecture in the village has been preserved, particularly in the Federal and Greek Revival styles. The town includes the village of Swiftwater and part of the district known as Mountain Lakes.

We had a great stay. The cabin was beautiful. The only thing is that the water faucet/shower had a sewage smell. I’m used to filtered water throughout my house so the water odors were a bit disappointing.

First ever visit to New Hampshire. We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and scenic location. Very beautiful cabin. Everything was absolutely perfect.

We loved our time at the cabin! The back porch with river views was spectacular. The outdoor shower was a hit for the kids. We were able to enjoy nature, play in the river at the Big Eddy, and explore Littleton. The cabin has everything you need, it cozy, and just right! We will be back for sure!

Arrived on a hot day and were pleasantly surprised that the cabin had A/C and was nice and cool inside. Lot's of great ponds around for paddling and fishing.

Great time and great accommodations. We had beautiful weather and a porch to enjoy it on. No complaints! Some observations: cleaning service there till 3:25pm, mosquitos pushed us off porch at dusk, trash barrel was full and made difficult to add too without attracting wildlife, something I think you’re trying to avoid.
Thank you!

Lovely little log cabin, on a ridge, with the beauty and sound of the river below. Inside is all wood, very well cared for and clean. We enjoyed the fireplace and sitting on the back porch. Although a lovely setting, the property itself is not very expansive if you're looking for a place to spread out. We were only there overnight and it met all of our needs very well.

We've visited the cabin a few times now. We love it. It's so comfortable and has everything. We love the porch overlooking the river the most. Our hosts were so easy to connect with and made every effort to ensure we had everything we needed.

The place was really great. Super, SUPER clean! Communication was really good, but as mentioned, just wifi and no cell coverage, but that didn't bother us a bit! Highly recommend! Oh, and the restaurant they recommend in the pictures was excellent. Very glad we decided to eat there!

Cabin was clean and stocked with everything as described. The gas fireplace was on when we arrived which gave the home such a warm cozy feeling on arrival. Great location. Would absolutely stay again.

This log cabin was lovely and quite quaint. The space was perfect for 2 couples. The sound of the River running along the property was soothing. However, the rancid smell of the well water hindered the entire 3-day trip. The smell was SO bad, that we refused to take showers and use the water for brushing our teeth. Our group was extremely disappointed and rather grossed out. Again, very disappointed because the cabin was beautiful and just what we were looking for. If the smell is not corrected, we would not go back!

Cabin was just as advertised, well stocked and a great location. Minor issue with not enough towels in bath upstairs, we finally found some in the dryer on the first floor. All good. Would definitely come back. Loved the hummingbirds on the porch, listening to the sound of the river below and the fawns were so beautiful that walked by.

This is our second year staying here and everything was just as we had remembered! The location is so beautiful and peaceful and the cabin is cute, cozy, clean and well-maintained. We came during a wicked cold snap and the fireplace kept us toasty warm. It’s the perfect size for our family of four - our two young boys had remembered it from the year before and were so excited to be back! We hope to return again next year!

Excellent choice for a weekend getaway. House was clean, well equipped and exactly as detailed. The road in was a little treacherous due to the weather but very quiet and peaceful and close enough to attractions!

The cabin was perfect. Super clean, beautiful snowy view and so peaceful. The owners were quick to respond to messages with our questions. We highly recommend the Alpine Adventures off-road mountain tour and the pizza delivery from Swiftwater Way Station made for a relaxing night in! We would definitely book this cabin again!

If you looking for a quiet, clean, charming little cabin in the woods away from it all this is the perfect property. Views of the Ammonoosuc River from the front porch, great for morning coffee.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our Thanksgiving weekend getaway. Everything went so smoothly - from the host’s communication before we got there, to getting to the cabin and all the way ´til we headed home. The description of the cabin is spot-on and everything was very comfortable. We especially liked the fireplace which comfortly warmed the whole place and the book shelves full of games and puzzles as well as books. The view down to the river is wonderful, and we enjoyed exploring down at the water. In a slightly warmer time the fire pit out back and the chairs along the porch would be well-used and we talked about how nice a week in the summer here would be.
We had a wonderful time and highly recommend a stay here!

Excellent, excellent place to stay. Cabin was beautiful, modern appliances and so clean. Location in the woods near the River that you could hear from the porch was a treat. Don't miss the covered bridge in Bath. Longest covered bridge in N.H.

We were very happy with this rental. We look for 5 star ratings and this did not disappoint. It was very clean and had everything we needed (especially liked the games and bluetooth speakers!). It's location is off the beaten path but perfect if you want to really get away.

The house was very cute and we did have a good weekend overall but a few take aways. For some reason the water had a little odor, nothing crazy just a little dirty water smell. Also loved that the upstairs was open to downstairs but since we have a toddler it was tough because she had a hard time falling sleep. However she was obsessed with the outdoor shower! The view of the river was awsome made for a very relaxing atmosphere, but make sure if you bring littles that they understand no going off the deck without an adult, its steep down to the river. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend we had a very relaxing weekend.

My Husband, myself and my 3 grandchildren, ages 6 to 15 stayed for 5 days. It was so clean and smelled like fresh wood. 2 beautiful bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Beautifully decorated, with everything you need. Located 3 miles from Big Eddy, which Is a fabulous swim hole with waterfalls. Clean and easily accessible. We all loved it. The cabin has access to the river has a steep hill, but you can drive or walk the loop for easy access, lots if rocks, water level is low at this point. We would highly recommend this property for it's ambience and location. The Wilson's
