The Grounds
Eight acres of beautiful Minnesota grass and lake. Large front yard for parking and games. Walking path about 150 yds through the woods to access the lake. Golf cart. Very PRIVATE lake shore with dock, hard sand swimming with large area for families of all ages to play together in the water. (Some like to wear water shoes because of the mussels.) Two decks and a large patio are yours to enjoy. Firepit and lakeside private sitting area with wonderful view of the lake.

The large property is joined to a smaller duplex unit & lower level apartment area where owners and owner’s family live. A separate dock may be used by the owners to access their boat. We do not share the lakeshore with you while you are renting. We make every effort to respect your privacy and use of the space. The grounds in front and back of the house are for your use as well as the two patios. Feel free to drive vehicles or the golf cart down the path to the lakeshore if needed. There is a wheelchair ramp available to access the front door.

We loved the house and location!! Ken and Cindy were great hosts!! Internet was slow prior to the storm- which was not anyone’s fault! It was restored and was fine! Streaming slow tho when everyone e was on phones due to not enough routers. Pool table was awesome entertainment!! Paddle boats did not work and hot tub was posted but dry and not available. We would stay here again due to house and location!! Thanks for a great week! We would have rebooked but not was already booked!! :(

Wonderful location just 5 minutes outside of Battle Lake. Property is accommodating for big families to have their own space and bathrooms. The lake is a walk from the house - but a bonus with little people and not having to worry about them wondering.

Our annual family vacation was amazing with family members from 82 years to 9 months old. The lake was a main focus for playing on the Lily pad (provided by the owner), fishing, water skiing and tubing. The amenities and the space was so nice for family members to spread out and do different things. The food was great. We had all family corn hole tournament using the boards at the house. We roasted marshmallows, played football, went for walks and bike rides and relaxed. What a great week!

The property was as described and pictured except for the dock. There is a dock, just not as extensive as pictured. The house is huge with plenty or room for our group of 22. The kitchen is stocked better than most rentals. The hosts live there also and were very attentive and quick to attend to any needs or questions we had, but also rarely seen. The lake was great for boating, with very few other boats on it the week we were there, and the beach is small, but the kids could wade out quite far, so great for swimming. We would stay again!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Ken and Cindy’s big, beautiful house on Clitherall Lake. We spent almost the whole trip at the house and on the lake and had a fantastic time! We cooked most of our meals and had everything we needed for the wide variety of meals we prepared. I highly recommend staying with Ken and Cindy. Check out G3 Rentals while you are there too. We rented a pontoon for 3 days at a very reasonable price and they were very easy to work with.

This property had alot to offer for our time spent with family and friends. The set up for all the bedrooms and bathrooms is more that doable with a large group which was really nice. The shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and laundry detergent throughout the home was definitely appreciated. We especially enjoyed the large open gathering group areas. Some things to note: It is quite a walk to the beach/lake. Putting boats in and out of the water can be difficult...it would be ideal if there was a hoist or place to leave your boat without removing it from the water each day. We know the beach is a work in progress, once that is done it will be very nice. Having access to the kayaks and canoe was great. A suggestions we thought would be helpful is having a second refrigerator (on the main floor) in either the mudroom or in the office area by the kitchen.

This was our 4th year staying at this property for our annual family Christmas get together. Under new owners and we were not disappointed. They were great to work with and very helpful. House was decorated for Christmas which was so very nice. House had plenty of room for our big group. Clean and well stocked with essentials. Would recommend this property to anyone with a large group. We plan to continue to make this our yearly destination.

Cindy and Ken were kind and gracious hosts of our women's retreat for a 3-day weekend! The home was SO spacious, and the multiple large living areas were perfect for our needs. While the walk to the lake is a little long (bring a wagon!), the private beach and dock were perfect for us to spend the afternoon at the lake. There even was enough parking for all of our cars - that never happens! I would recommend this place and would stay again.

Beautiful - inside and out!!! We (the parents/grandparents) have 10 adults-our 4 children and their spouses and us. Also 10 grandchildren 8 boys and 2 girls, ages 8-19. We took the gorgeous Master Bedroom and our 4 children and their spouses each had their own private bedrooms. Our 8 grandsons stayed in 2 rooms w/3 twin beds in each room while 2 stayed on the couches (and loved it!). Our 2 granddaughters had 1 bedroom with 3 twin beds and loved the 'privacy'. The kids were in the lake much of the time on the boats and in the water - a wonderful shallow lake where even the youngest was safe! We played inside and out with games. The house was filled with games and pool table, darts, TVs and entertainment for all. What a wonderful week we all had. My husband could even keep up with his computer work in the 'office' by the kitchen. We couldn't have asked for more! Thank you to our hosts!

We had an amazing stay. We are a large family with many age ranges. Everyone had space to stretch out and relax. The accommodations were wonderful and the hosts were very friendly, kind and helpful. The beach area was private and large for our group. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This property was great for our extended family vacation that included 16 people (8 adults and 8 kids). Plenty of space for everyone, well stocked kitchen (although it is in need of more measuring cups and spoons), great outdoor/water space. Renting a pontoon from the resort next door worked really well and we were even able to keep it at the resort on the lift and use it whenever we wanted. Our only complaint would be the cleanliness. Overall, it was a clean property except for the floors and the basement bathroom. It didn’t seem like the basement bathroom had the same attention to detail when cleaned as the rest of the house, and the floors were leaving our feet black by the end of the first day. I know it’s a large home, but for the cleaning fee that is charged, I shouldn’t have to mop the floors to keep our feet clean. That being said, everything else was very clean and comfortable, and if those issues were addressed with the cleaners, I would give 5 stars for cleanliness. Overall, this was a great stay for a large group and I would recommend.

Our family of 24 spent a great week mid July. The house accommodated us with ample room to all be together, kitchen facilities worked well as we cooked all our meals at the house and we loved our water time secluded from next door neighbors. The owners were easily accessible and available for any questions. All of us agreed that this is where we want to meet for the next reunion and we are already booked for 2024! We had a great time at the property. We had at any point and time up to 22 people at the house. The size of the place makes it feel like anyone can do their own thing without feeling on top of one another. The lake is beautiful and quiet. Sleeping arrangements were easy and comfortable. As the owners continue to make this property their own it will become an absolute go to for any large family gathering. Truly a blessed week.

We were all very thankful to have found this house to rent, for our oversized family to get together. The rooms are spacious, so we weren't crowded, the location is convenient, the view is gorgeous - especially from the upper level! The yard is spacious for outdoor play. The lake looks great!! It was a cold spring, and so the dock wasn't able to be out yet and so the kids did a little wading as the water was pretty cold. Will bring the fishing boat next time! A fabulous property with very kind and generous hosts!!
