Halii Kai is a gated condominium community in the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The Waikoloa Queens Marketplace Shops, Island Gourmet Market and Kings Shops are a half mile away and are great for shopping and excellent dining. Anaehoomalu Bay Beach is a few minutes’ drive from Halii Kai.
All of our vacation rentals include a basic “start-up supply” of: laundry detergent, garbage bags, kitchen sponge, liquid soap, dishwasher liquid, paper towels, toilet paper, conditioning shampoo, small bar soap, all-purpose cleaner and salt/pepper. Cooking oils, condiments, spices, food storage bags, plastic wrap and aluminum foil are not provided. Once the startup supply runs out, guests can restock at nearby grocery stores.

The unit and the property are both lovely—plenty of space right next to the water with beautiful views.

We had a wonderful stay at Halii Kai. Our condo was comfortable with a well stocked kitchen (additional silverware would be helpful), plenty of towels, board games, beach toys, tennis racquets, snorkel gear and more. The view of the ocean was beautiful from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom. Our adult children were able to snorkel right in front of our condo. We enjoyed the pool, restaurant, gym and pickleball court. We were able to watch sunrise by taking a short walk up fisherman’s trail and sunset from the lanai. Sunset was especially beautiful from the pool. Fisherman’s trail is also in front of the condo and throughout our stay we walked from A-Bay to Mauna Lani- the views are breathtaking. We’ve been to Hawaii many times and it never disappoints.

Stayed with my parents who had the main bedroom with the ocean view. My partner and I slept in the second bedroom with a queen bed . The room was so small there was no room for a dresser. I could’ve forgiven that if the mattress was comfortable, but it was old and loud and bowed in the middle, definitely in need of replacing. Otherwise, the location was amazing. You can see whales spouting on the ocean from your condo. However it was a real disappointment that there were no binoculars in the house. It also lacked any guidebook or helpful binder of nearby places to eat. Location is beautiful place has what you need but lack some basic amenities and needs updating.

I can’t say enough good words about this property!!! Location was SO quiet. The unbelievable ocean view is better than advertised. We, in fact, spent every single morning sipping coffee and watching whales! We repeated that with wine and dinner in the afternoons and evenings as well - just fantastic!!! There is everything needed to cook if so inclined. We did, and found it easy. We enjoyed the pool as well, but get there early as the chairs go fast! Only issue - the tile floors needed a good scrubbing. Thanks for hosting us we will definitely love to stay here again!!!

My family was pleasantly surprised by the amount of ample space and beautiful ocean front view. Kitchen is well appointed and as described. Make sure to bring shampoo and conditioner if you're planning to stay longer than a day. We'll definitely be back!

Nice and clean. No beach access. The grounds are beautiful and the food at the pool restaurant is great. The bed frames in the guest rooms are noisy and need repair or replacement. The shower faucet leaking at the bottom when switched to shower head

Enjoyed almost 2 weeks at this location. Again, very well appointed unit, excellent location, everything was clean, enjoyed many a beautiful sunsets eating on the lanai. Provided initial startup supplies which was much appreciated before could get to the stores. Fridge had an ice maker, which was very appreciated as we hiked allot and took water bottles with ice everywhere. Pool restaurant provided great service and excellent food. Close to walking trails, shops, groceries, restaurants, beaches, golf, etc.. Only recommendations would be that the carpet needs a good cleaning or replacing and a proper cleaning tool for the BBQ. BBQ'd often and tried as best could to clean BBQ grills after use, but it was not a brush. I wish I could have cleaned it better. Would definitely book another stay in the future. Love the Big Island.

Fantastic Location, Fantastic Condo
The condo was beautiful, and the location was awesome. It looks out over the lava to the ocean, and there's a lava trail that runs along the coast in either direction. And it was a great surprise to know we had access to the beach club. There is no beach, but the pool is great, and the fact that you can get restaurant food there is a big plus - especially since the dining options in Waikoloa are pretty weak (for various reasons, but usually the crowds). And there's even a workout area at the club.

Beautiful location, but residence was in poor shape
The location of this unit is great, but the condition it is in really left us disappointed. The furniture was in very poor condition, including the mattresses and pillows. The carpet had spots everywhere (the owner said it was being cleaned after we left). The laundry room smelled like sewage. I paid a high amount for this unit, so I was highly disappointed in the overall cleanliness and quality of our stay. The garage was full of stuff, to the point that we couldn't park in there (though we did find some beach chairs in there that we used). I reached out to the new property management company several times throughout my stay to update them. They finally gave me a response that they were also disappointed in the unit, and apparently, new furniture is on order.

The condo is exactly as advertised. It's a quiet location with an ocean view and easy access to the pool/bar/gym. There are lots of extras in the way of beach chairs and umbrellas, coolers, sand toys, and it looks like lots of equipment for babies and toddlers. We lacked for nothing, except there was no dish soap when we arrived. No problem since there is a store nearby. Take the walk North to 49 Black Sand, but wear durable shoes. It's quiet and gorgeous (you can drive there too). Beds were all very comfortable! Mahalo!

Great Stay
This is a wonderful ocean front condo and is great for family (including three young children). It as conveniently located next to a rocky path that we could use to walk over to the large Hilton property or to a black sand beach! Check-in was simple, the pool and spa on the property were perfect for our family, and the little bar/restaurant was very convenient. The restaurant was closed for two days but we were still able to eat at it a couple of times. We had a wonderful stay!

We have been to the big island numerous times. This is our fourth time staying at Hali I' kai. This unit was our favorite. It is ocean front with amazing views from the lanai and master bedroom. It is an end unit so no neighbors on one side. The garage was packed with lots of beach goodies:chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkel gear and even a kids bike. It was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and we ate all our meals there except for a few. The pool is amazing but warning that PUA who works at the pool is super strict and constantly reminding guests of what isn't allowed (no splashing in the pool and kids can't play in the pool seemed a bit excessive) but other then that everyone at hali I kai is very helpful . Their mai tai s at happy hour are amazing! And the food at the pool restaurant is really good too. If you are thinking of staying at hali I kai I 100%recommend this condo. You will love it.

The best thing about this property is, of course, the view and the location. But I also have to express thanks and gratitude to Grayson for being an amazing host. He was always super responsive and went out of his way to make sure that we had what we needed during our stay. We loved staying in this condo. It has a great view of the ocean (we saw whales everyday) and gorgeous sunsets too! The condo is in a lovely development in the Waikoloa Resort. The development has its own ocean-front pool, open-air fitness center and restaurant and well maintained tennis court. We will definitely stay here again!

Our whole family loved this condo. The kitchen was very well stocked, the furniture was nice and very comfortable and the beach chairs, toys and coolers were a very nice addition. Grayson responded quickly to all our questions and inquiries. It is in a great location as it was very close to the pool/restaurant area and yet private and quiet being at the end unit. Great ocean front 3 bedroom w/amazing views
Grayson is super fast communicator, the ocean front property is very private, end unit, super quiet - which we loved, beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend the unit and the location to anyone coming to the Big Island. We have been staying in the Waikoloa area for years and loved unit 15H - super close to the pool and restaurant. Sapphire, food attendant at the Hali Kai pool restaurant was wonderful, attentive, helpful and gave us the best recommendations on food choices - you must buy the fried green beans!! Highly, highly recommend, especially for the price, Grayson keeps the price very affordable for all that you get. Thank you and hope to stay again.

We came in paradise! Great house, had everything you need to live there as if it was your own. But it was better than that with the great view and all the amenities of the park. A beautiful and convenient place on big island.
