Our recently remodeled 1 bed, 1 bath home is located on the second floor, so you’ll enjoy more privacy in your home-away-from-home. Being in the corner also gives us breath-taking views of the Pacific Ocean. During whale season, you’ll also see whales breaching from the lanai!

Our home has been completely remodeled as of 10/2021. Enjoy a modern home with Hawaiian flare as you melt the days away in paradise. The fully-equipped kitchen shines with quartz countertops and new stainless steel appliances. Traveling with other guests? The queen sleeper sofa and dual-sink marble vanity in the bathroom is perfect for sharing.

Enjoy the island sun but ready to cool down? Our home also has AC to keep you chill during your stay.*

Pono Kai Resort’s luscious 12-acre landscaping is picture-perfect with meticulously manicured grounds and koi pond. Do you enjoy lounging on the lanai, but would like other activities as well? The resort offers plenty of amenities including shuffleboard, tennis courts, swimming pools, BBQ grills and more! Be prepared to relax in paradise while also having access to a variety of activities right outside your door.

Pono Kai Resort is also located right on the walking/bike path, Ke Ala Hele Makalae (“The Path that Goes by the Cost”). The trail leads from Nawiliwili to Anahola. You’ll find eclectic shops and wonderful eateries along this path – within walking distance from the resort!

We felt like "VIPs" as my granddaughter said. It is fresh & beautiful with a beachy vibe and spectacular views of the ocean. This was our second trip to Kauai, but the absolute best time because we were so comfortable in our home away from home! Kapaa is a perfect location & we went all over the island easily. So grateful for this place & its owners!

The owners had great communication. The condo matched the photos perfectly. The resort itself was very nice, everyone was helpful and considerate. Plenty of activities to do. Highly recommended. We're going to stay here again if we come back to the east coast of Kauai.

This condo was clean and well furnished. We especially loved the view of the ocean from the lanai. When the sun was out the sunrise was beautiful. Location of the resort made it easy to get around the island. We enjoyed the walking path on the ocean to go to the Olympic Cafe (great restaurant) and shopping in downtown Kapaa.

Unit very well updated. Ocean front with very nice view. Kitchen well equipped, we had everything we needed. We do recommend this rental. We may come back next Year.

We loved being in an oceanfront corner unit! The early morning sunrises were so special with the waves crashing sound. Unit was spotless and well equipped. Pono Kai has nice grounds and enjoyed using the hot tub in the evenings. We also enjoyed walking on the path in front of the unit. Very convenient to restaurants and shops.

Property was as described. The view off the lanai was amazing. Sunrises second to none! Excellent midway point for the whole island. We rented e-bikes just up the bike path twice to view our favorite coastline. Laundry on the first floor next to the elevator made it easy to carry our wash down. I was so happy to discover the beach out front is swimmable, not all resorts along the Kapaa area are but this one is. I highly recommend Pono Kai, nice, helpful staff, the grounds are well manicured and there are grills dotted around the property that are kept very clean. All and all a great experience. If I stay there again we will get a third floor apartment.

Lovely oceanfront condo. Well stocked, very clean. But, no A/C in bedroom which is the only place that needs it! Otherwise, window must be kept open & people walk by & look right into the bedroom. Unfortunately, walls are so thin we listened to stomping & running above us the whole time.

This was the best lodging we had during our two week trip to Hawaii. Beautiful view, beautifully updated accommodations and very nice and responsive owners! Definitely recommend but book early as this home is in high demand.

We were happy with the condo - it was clean and had a great view. Kitchen had all equipment needed for cooking. Aircondition works well for the living room, but the bedroom had only a fan - but it worked fairly well anyway. Perfect for a couple or a small family. Would stay there again another time.

Wonderful property and location. Had a great experience overall. A/C wasn’t awesome but did work. Unit was at rear of house and hard to cool bedroom in front of unit Suggesting to owners -leave some coffee or beer or wine for guests-it’s a nice touch

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo is spacious, clean, and well-stocked with all the essentials for a beach trip or pool visit. We loved listening to the waves through the screen doors and the easy beach access. Having beach chairs and a cooler was great! It’s very spacious for two people, making this the perfect spot for a longer vacation. One thing to note - if you plan on cooking any meals while here, there is not a full spice cabinet - we could only find salt, pepper, cinnamon, and olive oil.

Our time at this wonderful property has been superb! The communication from the owners was great, the location is central to everything on Kauai and the unit is right on the beach with gorgeous views! Want to watch a beautiful sunrise? Open the door to your balcony and take a seat and be prepared to watch a magical art show. Want to walk along the beach, go ahead...you can walk in the sand, or use the sidewalk. The unit was super clean and we LOVED the kitchen, which was well stocked. The bed was comfy and the sofa couch was not bad, just sleep with your head towards the bottom as there is a slight incline. The AC was a nice feature that we did use at times, but a fan was all that was needed most of the time. The bathroom is very spacious and nice with double sinks and a massive shower. The owners have provided a manual with some suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Do not hesitate to rent this unit. I would again and hope to sometime in the future if I ever make it back to Kauai! Mahalo!

Pono Kai is close to everything! Restaurants, the OCEAN and the bike path. Our lovely 2nd floor condo was comfortable and super clean! Having private Wifi was safe & handy, lots of closet space and a roomy bathroom with two sinks! The view.... OCEANFRONT AMAZING! Some heavy rain caused significant noise from the downspouts by the bedroom, and caused another owner's upstairs window to leak down near our dining room window. We phoned the owner of our condo and he was eager to address the problem with the upstairs owner. Good to have a coin operated washer & dryer in building. Thank you.

We absolutely loved staying here and plan to come back. It was quiet and clean. The property grounds were well maintained with barbecue and picnic tables. The ocean was beautiful right off the balcony. The sun rose straight out in front of the unit. The kitchen is well equipped. Location was perfect, walk to everything. Can’t say enough good things about it.

This unit is immaculate and supplies everything you might need for a perfect Hawaii vacation. The bed was extremely comfortable and having AC was a big plus. Pono Kai is in a great location for long walks/biking on a long paved trail, access to several wonderful beaches, and you can walk to many restaurants and shops. I would stay there again but this unit is already booked for next year when I would like to stay.

The Condo complex is steps across the wide paved hiking/biking trail to the beach. Most guest amenities are included in the rental fee, including the gas grills around the buildings. The unit was beautifully decorated and spotless. Since we were moving there from another unit with the same owners, they graciously texted us the morning of the move to let us know, we could move in immediately. They were super nice and responsive to our questions.

It looks like this condo was decorated yesterday! Everything perfectly clean and appointed. All done in whites and blues....the decorator did a great job. View was gorgeous from the lanai. Kitchen well stocked. Bed comfy. Beach chairs and umbrella sturdy. Bathroom large, pretty and clean. On site staff were nice and helpful. LOVED everything about our stay!

This is a great property. The second-floor balcony overlooks the beach with amazing sunrise views. Stephanie is great to communicate with and very responsive. The recently remodeled condo is spotlessly clean and modern. Restaurants, coffee shops, and gift stores are a few blocks away. Try Java Kai for a morning coffee as you watch the sun rise. A multi mile, paved, beachside walking path runs right past the condo. Kapaa is a nice central location from which to cover the entire island. We have no reservations about fully recommending this property to others.

If you’re looking for a great place to stay in Kauai, consider this beautiful condo in Kapa’a! We love the central location and all of the close shops/restaurants. The property was very clean and well-kept, and we enjoyed many sunrises from our private lanai! The hosts were great and checked in with us to ensure we were enjoying our stay.

This condo was perfect. Beautifully renovated and impeccably clean. The beach supplies came in very handy. The kitchen is fully stocked although we mainly used it for breakfast. The resort has a concierge that helped us book 2 amazing tours and provided snorkel equipment rental at a very reasonable rate - don’t use Snorkel Bobs (the equipment was actually better than Snorkel Bobs). Location of the property is perfect for getting around. It’s close to the airport , waterfalls, excursion meeting points and many great beaches. I would 100% stay here again !!!
