For more adventures, pack a picnic and spend the day at Lamoine Beach Park, less than a mile from your home. To experience the historic charm of New England, take a day trip to downtown Bar Harbor. Bike the old carriage roads and bask in the lovely locales.
Enter your vacation home after exciting outings and you'll be greeted by a gorgeous two-sided gas fireplace with floor-to-ceiling stone surround partitions in the main living area and den on the first floor. Spend time together lounging on the comfortable furniture in the living area or the den watching your favorite shows on the 42” Roku TV. Prepping meals has never been more scenic with picturesque views of Eastern Bay. When it’s time to eat, gather around the dining table with seating for your guests, or eat on the deck amidst amazing waterfront views.
Speaking of the great outdoors, play games in the backyard or enjoy the warm ambience of the fire pit. When evening falls, fire up the grill and dine alfresco at the two tables on the expansive deck. Watch the sunset over the bay on the Adirondack chairs.

Really enjoyed staying in this place. The house is spacious, well equipped, and comfortable. The ocean views are incredible. Highly recommended!

After picking our daughter up from summer camp we decided to spend a few days in Maine to enjoy family quality time together before school starts back this fall. We spent the days exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor and loved the view and hanging out on the back porch

Quiet, clean and very inviting. Second time in this house. Would definitely re-book.

We wanted a home away from the popular areas so this was perfect. Nice looking out to the water, house is airy and has a beautiful fireplace and sunroom to enjoy. The steam shower is great. Well stocked and well labeled with everything you need plus spices and a few pantry staples. The furniture in the main room is in desperate need of replacement, and the beds upstairs are old and creaky. I would recommend the homeowners replace these items. Otherwise a great stay.

A cozy, private, quiet, beautiful house! Thanks you for sharing!!!

Great Location and beautiful views, just 30 minutes from Bar Harbour and close to Acadia. The place is cute with big windows and spacious yard. The upstairs beds were very small and the wifi would not work for my computer, honestly we expected a bit more for the money.

The property is well appointed and had a great layout for a family of 4. The labels on everything were super helpful. The view was beautiful.
The cleanliness of the home left a lot to be desired. Upon check in we were sent a survey on the cleanliness which we rated as high because upon first glance the floors and counters were clean and it seemed quite clean. But after we were in the house for more than a day we would have rated it much lower.
The master shower drain had not been cleaned out from previous renters hair/debris? and the water backed up badly which was really gross (There was a contact lens on the floor of the shower which was not ours). The other bath shower curtain was moldy. The towels had stains on them. The trash from previous renters in the outside container was never emptied so we could barely fit our trash in.

Windy but worth it
House is beautiful, stunning view! Our only problem was the weather and we left a night early because of that. Takes about 35 min to get to Acadia from here. Private road had lots of pot holes. House does have smoke/CO2 detectors (another review said it didn’t but it does). Kitchen had everything we needed and fireplace was awesome!

Beautiful home, beautiful view!
This property had the perfect mix of being secluded and being near where we wanted to be. The trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park was manageable, and the setting of the home was remote -- with visitors in the morning and evening from the local deer -- and gorgeous. Both sunsets and sunrises were spectacular, and we enjoyed evening fires by the bay. Our family of 6 would not have changed a thing!

Amazing Stay
Cozy Home on the Ocean bay. Enjoyed each morning seeing the tide in or out and looking for Tide pools. short drive to Acadia National park where we hiked each day and came back to the home to have dinner and enjoy the sun set. Whole family loved it. Close enough to the National park, but far enough away to feel like we were by ourselves. Would do it again for sure!

Beautiful private beach location with wonderful biking opportunities.
We brought our family of 4 for a safe school vacation. We spent wonderful early mornings and late nights by the water. An easy 30 min drive to Bar Harbor and into Acadia National Park. House setup was warm and wonderful for home cooking and game nights. We hope to one day return. Highly recommend for families looking to unwind!

Due to Covid we ate most meals at house and would have wanted to sterilize dishes. We also did not use master bathroom toilet due to warnings about size of pipe and expectations for paying plumbing charges. As a result we had one less bathroom for use. We also thought it was awkward not to have upstairs shower with two bedrooms on second floor.

Amazing Family Property
We had a wonderful time at their house. Property and location is beautiful. Place was spotless and well appointed for a family. Can’t imagine a better place to enjoy the coast of Maine and have quick access to Acadia. We’ll be back next year!!

Rest and Relaxation.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The weather couldn’t have been better. House is beautifully situated on a peninsula. It is a little further from Bar Harbor and Acadia then I would have liked. It was a little far to come back midday and relax and shower. A few warm nights AC would have helped but did enjoy the quiet.

Good, Not Great
Overall, the property was great - the main space (including kitchen, seating area) was open and comfortable. The porch overlooking the cove was great - lots of seating and beautiful views. We wish we knew (and maybe it was an oversight on our part) that we were on a cove that ebbed and flowed with tides so kayaking from the yard was only available a few hours a day which meant you needed to schedule that activity around high tide.
Our biggest complaint - and it’s a big one - is that the smoke alarms went off in the middle of the night (11PM, 2AM, etc.) 4 times over the span of 5 nights for no reason. The letter left for guests noted that it may happen and given that it is a recurring issue that the property is aware of, we think it should have been disclosed in the write-up if it can’t be fixed. Luckily we weren’t traveling with an infant or a toddler, otherwise if would have ruined our trip.
A few other thoughts - we cooked most meals at home and the kitchen was very well stocked.
Ample towels were available.
At first, we thought all the labeling of cabinets, electric switches, etc. was excessive but, we did appreciate it as it made it very easy to find things and took the guess work out of operating some of the appliances, etc.
Overall, a really nice property and stay.

Reviewer Comments:
Beautiful setting. This newly remodeled home is a joy to stay in. The mudflats are a bit frustrating for toddlers though. The area is very nice for quite strolls both to Frenchman Bay and to the end of the road where Raccoon Cove and the ocean meet. Water was an issue, with varying water pressure. We brought our own drinking water. Everything was in wonderful shape. Overall good stay.

Beautiful Cove
Lots of wildlife and birds, as the tide flowed in and out of Raccoon Cove every 12 hours. Peaceful and serene view of the night sky is a gem. House is outstanding and great for entertaining. Great for our lobster dinner with friends. Beautiful walks along the road.

Great family time
The house was immaculate and well stocked. We appreciated the kid friendly games and the fire pit supplies. A whole-house water filter would have helped to mitigate the water’s sulfur smell. We had a great time!

The house we stayed at was beautiful inside and out. Perfectly located close to the water if you are interest in water sports, scenic views, and reclusive locations. We spent a lot of time in Acadia National Park and it was a bit far for that purpose. The house was clean and well stock with supplies for a 5 day stay. We went to the store first and wished we would have done it the other way around.

Had a rocky start. Arrived for five night stay at 6:00 pm to a very chilly 50 degree house. Totally unacceptable , After we thawed out and looked around, the house is very beautiful and the most well equipped kitchen I’ve ever rented. I called from California to inquire with TurnKey if the property had wine glasses. The man told me no, bring my own. Wrong information. Fabulous gas fireplace, great master shower. Wish the master bedroom had a chair for putting on shoes. Not a deal breaker. However this gorgeous house is in the middle of nowhere. Perfect for a reclusive vacation, but unfortunately, we were out everyday driving 45 minutes into Bar Harbor, Acadia, 20 minutes to grocery store, etc. Love Maine.

This home is off the beaten path and at first we weren't sure that would work for us. Instead, it was one of the best parts of our trip! The home is located on a peninsula with a cove on one side and Bay on the other. We felt at home and completely comfortable in this beautifully decorated home and didn't want to leave. It's only a short 10 minute drive to town and took us 40 minutes to get to the top of Cadillac Mountain for sunrise. We relaxed and enjoyed cooking lobsters and sitting in front of the fire and playing games and just decompressing and reconnecting. This was our home base while we explored Acadia, Mt Desert Island and the vicinity and we actually looked forward to returning every day to enjoy all the home offered. We'd love to return to this home if our travels take us this way again.

When we walked into the house we were pleasantly surprised. It is a beautiful, well appointed home. The common area with the living room, dining room and kitchen was spacious with souring ceilings. The fireplace was huge and a joy to look at. The master bedroom is roomy, and the master bath is huge. The upstairs bedrooms are small, but have more than enough room for our needs, as they were just a place to sleep while we spent our awake vacation time staying busy.
The deck is just like the picture shows - roomy with a lovely view. I awoke every morning to find my parents (in their 70's) sitting in the deck chairs sipping coffee and watching the tide roll out, where my wife and I would join them.
The owners provision the house with so many vacation type of ammenties that I was rather surprised. They provided not just all you normal stuff like coffee maker/Kurig, cooking pans and utensils, etc. But also things like boxes of different hats for different weather, bug spray, day trip bags, games galore, brochures for many local attractions, local maps, and so much more. They even had those types of things you don't think to take with you but are so convenient like kids benedril (in cases of a bee sting), band-aids, and a wide variety of the type of stuff you almost inevitably end up making a run to the drug store for. It is obvious the owners put a lot of thought and care into their home and those who they are sharing it with.
We had a wonderful time and would recommend this home to anyone.
