About this house rental
Vacation Paradise at this Majestic 5/3 Waterfront Soundside Beach Home
This secluded, oak-sheltered enclave offers the perfect soundside getaway vacation for a large family, a “Big Chill” reunion weekend, or for housing your wedding party!
The Key West style exterior of the home is warm and welcoming with its beautiful set of solid wood entry doors and lush landscaping. The foyer is grand with high ceilings and an open stairwell on the left. The stairwell in itself is a work of art with unique wrought iron ivy details in the railing.
After entry, to your right, you will find the library entrance features another beautiful set of hand-crafted, solid wood doors. The desk area is built-in with custom bookshelves queen sized bed and a TV.
Past the library is the glass bricked doorway entrance to the galley-style kitchen. Cooking in this kitchen will be a pleasure with its polished granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, gas range cook-top, and view over the breakfast bar out to the waterfront. Off the kitchen is a high-top table and four chairs perfect for morning coffee and breakfast. The kitchen is open to the living area with lots of comfortable seating in front of the TV/entertainment center.
Behind the living area is the formal dining room which features custom built-ins, a fireplace with a carved wood mantle, and more picture windows for beautiful views of the water. The downstairs bedrooms are located behind the kitchen.
5 Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and private bath.
Bedroom 2 has a queen bed.
Bedroom 3 has a queen-sized bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a hall bath with a tub/shower combo. Laundry is also available in this hallway.
Bedroom 4 is located upstairs down a windowed hallway. It is the master bedroom and has 1 king bed, a large walk-in closet with custom built-in shelving, and a huge spa-style bathroom with a double vanity, jetted garden tub, and glassed walk-in shower with a shower bench. On a raised area within the master bedroom you will find 2 additional queen beds.
Bedroom 5 - On the separate upper level is where you will find the king size bed and small kitchenette with a sink, microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. Large glass doors lead to a private waterfront balcony overlooking the pool.
Imagine the peaceful mornings just being able to get up, make a cup of coffee, and step out onto your private deck, all without leaving your bedroom. With its high raftered ceilings and tons of natural light, this private suite is a vacation area all on its own.
The home is wonderful, but it is the outdoor spaces that really make this home unforgettable. The living room doors open to a covered porch area with exposed beam ceilings and a comfortable seating area. This leads straight into the gated, sparkling private pool. The pool has a large deck area and with its artistic paver design, it will stay cool on your feet even on the sunniest of Florida days. Adjacent to the poolside porch is an enclosed, fully equipped outdoor kitchen and bar area. The huge outdoor kitchen has a refrigerator, sink, and two gas grill/cooking surfaces.
The outdoor bar seating opens into a beautifully landscaped stone patio area with lush lawn and shade from the mature oak trees. Waterside is a large deck leading to a private pier with more expansive decking for soaking in the sun.
Truly escape reality with a vacation to this island resort of a home.
Pet Friendly. Let your pet (25lb or less) enjoy the vacation with you. (Associated fees apply and are paid upon arrival)

Great location with easy access to bay and gulf! We had a very relaxing time!

Property was not nearly as nice as the price was. The kitchen was not very well equipped for large families. Plus this is not a five bedroom!! The bed in the library has no bathroom. The bathrooms were a disaster!! Not a five bedroom house!!!!! Updating is needed bad ! Not very happy with this decision to stay here.

We stayed with family and friends for my daughter’s UWF graduation weekend. It was the perfect house for a multi-generational group with ground floor rooms for the older folks and a porch and common room with multiple beds for the younger folks to have their own space. The outdoor patio space had lots of seating and the outdoor enclosed kitchen was fantastic for when the weather turned cold and windy during our BBQ. The views of the sound were lovely and we saw dolphin every day.
The house was well equipped for our needs and it seemed to have just had an update. A great time was had by all!

House was just the right size for our close friends and family to gather for a long weekend.

This property could use a good cleaning and repairs would be nice. It's large enough for everyone to be together inside and out. The yard could use a fence for our pets.

We really enjoyed our stay as a group of 5 couples. We had everything we needed to prepare meals with the exception of a few items. The location was wonderfully situated in a quiet area with just a quick walk to the beach. As other reviews state, the house needs some TLC as it seems like a popular place. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock and lounging by the pool and the outdoor seating areas. Overall, I would recommend staying there and would book again!

We were in town for an engagement party. Property was ideal for entertaining a small party. Impressive foyer, stair case etc. Enjoyed the pool and the pier over the bay. Plenty of indoor and outdoor entertainment space, (two fridges very nice!), however, the kitchen provisions leave much to be desired. Utensils, plates, coffee cups, wine glasses etc were very sparse and mismatched considering the number of guests this place holds. Outdoor cushions were also mismatched and stained - hard to figure which cushion went where. It's the little amenities like the above that can use updating considering the price that is charged during the peak season. The check in was so so. Not the friendliest but perhaps someone was having a bad day.

We loved the house. It was perfect for our large group, big dinner and chilling by the sound.

Amazing location! For an older home very adequate to fit our entire family and we had extra space.

I will preface this review with the fact that we got our vacation rental canceled on us 6 weeks from our stay. We had very little options to choose from. Now I know why this property was still available. Buyer beware. This property should be removed from any listing until some serious cleaning, updating and maintenance is done. It can be a nice property if the owners invested time and money to refurbish and update the house and definitely the outside areas. So here we go. Worn out furniture, doors sticking and hard to open, lights not working, dim lighting overall, rust inside the microwave, kitchen supplies look like they're from a 1970's yards sales, bedroom closet doors off, dirty exhaust fans in bathroom, walls chipped and missing plaster, dirty walls and doors, mold in the upstairs shower, broken cabinet doors upstairs, outside furniture weather worn and broken, mold everywhere on cement and walk ways (dangerous when wet), yard debris everywhere, weeds overgrown, firepit area has rusted metal sticking up from ground, exposed gravel around trees and in the sand in same area, I can go on, but I think you get the idea. This place is worn out and in need of serious attention. Whoever they pay for cleaning this house, is not doing their job. Pictures online are very deceiving. It was probably that nice in the past, but that's not the case today. I do not recommend this house, mark it off your list and move on. Go for a house on the Gulf side, at least you will have the beach to play on. One last note. The staff at the check in/out place were very nice and pleasant. 5 stars for them, property 2 stars. I hope this review has been helpful.

Plenty of indoor space at this pretty house in need of TLC. The location was in a peaceful neighborhood with excellent view off the peer and the convenience of the beach across the street (10 minute walk). Some TLC maintenance items our group wanted me to mention are as follows:
Front door knob loose
All exterior wooden doors stick
Pool liner wrinkled and pool dirty when we got there
Touch-up paint
Main toilet does not flush right
Toilet in back bedroom clogged and had to be plunged
Kitchen faucet does not shut off all of the time
Trip hazard on deck leading to the bay (board popped up)
Wood rotten on upper deck
Tree limbs on roof (could wash off during heavy rain onto a car)
The allowances we received on supplies were minimal at best, it was rather disappointing. I strongly recommend to any future guests to purchase garbage bags, air freshener (for bathroom), toilet paper, paper towel, & bring their own towels prior to arrival at this rental.
You received a high rating on this because the ratable items are rather insignificant to the overall experience. Please don't get me wrong...we had fun at the house but y'all were rather frugal on the day to day supplies needed.
I will use your company again for future trips, the coordination was awesome, welcome center staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the instructions given to me were excellent; but I think I will not use this home again.

Marty

Pensacola rental
The property’s location was great and communication with the property manager was good as well. The property itself needs some TLC. While the back yard/pool/dock were nice, the interior of the home needs repairs especially the second floor master bathroom- specifically the shower which appeared to have black mold and a shower door that doesn’t actually close! There were also broken windows and blinds and window screens and lights that didn’t work, etc.
not sure it was worth the price I paid, but the view was lovely.

Family Time
We enjoyed our stay very much. Property could use many updates but the space out weighed the looks of some areas. Beds were comfortable. Outdoor Kitchen very dark and really needs to be remodeled. Location is everything and thus place delivered.

Semi Sweet, home away from home.
This location and property provided for a great vacation week, everything we could need was in the house, and unlike many rentals you get more than one role of TP or bars of soap in the bathrooms, sounds petty but it counts. The house has great space, wifi and entertainment. The dock was great for sunset time, for snorkeling and using the provided kayak, we got Moon jelly's, Dolphins and many other fish, this is a house i would love to own. As for the negative, the property is sadly very neglected, the pool was not full or clean and I tended to that myself, on the first night a recessed light in our bedroom fell out of the ceiling and scared the bejesus out of us and some taps drip, these things did not make the stay any less enjoyable it is just sad to see it going backwards since it is such a great house. The only complaint I have as a renter with pets, is that the back yard is not enclosed for our doggies to be able to roam outside without supervision, this could be achieved with minimal cost utilizing the existing fencing and water line. We will definitely rent this place again and can recommend it to anyone.

Great location
The house is an a great location to the shops and being on the water was awesome. We had a great time and it was plenty of space. However, the house needs some deep cleaning and lots of TLC. Door knobs that don't lock on bedroom doors, door knobs hanging off exterior doors, the built in grill area needs some work, the bathrooms need renovations as well. Overall the house was comfortable to stay in, had tons of room, and had all the necessities needed. We would stay there again just for the water access. I am sure like many rentals the home is abused by some and took care of by some which leads owners to not want to really sink a ton of money into these problems. Totally understandable. But overall great experience with the rental company and the home itself.

Very Relaxing location
Location location... That was the winning factor. Quiet area, the sound was beautiful. Husband and I enjoyed fishing of the dock and relaxing in the pool. The property has been let go. A few upgrades and maintenance would take it to a 5 star rating. We still enjoyed our stay.

Unmantined
The pictures must have been taken when it was first remodeled. The house was nice enough but not for how much we paid for it. The property is not maintained well. There's mold in the filters for the ac, a lot of bulbs need replaced, there's a bobby pin to hold the chain on in the toilet upstairs and it pops off every time you flush and the toilet downstairs was also in need of repairs. There was trash in the backyard, the pool was dirty, and all the showers and bathtub had hair in them. The people at the front desk was nice but they charged us $70 for a new tax when we got there. The front desk person said someone should have called and let us know, so that's a failure on VRBO or the property manager. There are wood roaches outside but that's part of nature. There are broken slates upstairs, instead of leaving them they should take the doors off. The view was lovely and the porch was our main hangout. There needs to be at least 3 big trash cans. There was an old junky grill that don't work they need to get rid of since there's a newer one there. All the stuff wrong with it is due to lazy maintenance and lazy cleaning services. I would stay there again if the price was lower. There was a lot of pots, pans, baking dishes, plates, glasses, silverware, utensils for cooking and grilling, there were enough towels, and the washer and dryer worked great. The dock was nice but the need to take new pictures because it's nothing like the pictures. The beach is a straight shot across the road, a 5 minute walk at most. Overall, we had a great time but it should cost less in my opinion.

Plenty of Space
The rental had plenty of space for our group. The pool was great! We enjoyed fishing off the dock and snorkeling right in the bay. The extra fridge in the garage was great to keep drinks cold!
The property could use some TLC-for example the front wheels of the dishwasher drawer were missing. It made it hard to pull in/out dishes. Outdoor patio cushions were missing and the outdoor sofa need those to be comfortable as we sent a lot of time on the covered porch. I called about cushions-“if you can sit, it is fine”This outdoor furniture is made for the need of cushions. Trash pick up is a problem. We arrived on a Wednesday and both outside trash bins were over flowing with trash (pick-up is supposed to be on Mondays.) we had to call several times for it to finally get picked up on Saturday night. No one came and emptied trash again on Monday either. The online pictures need to be updated to show new length of dock, outdoor furniture, etc.

Perfect for our family
With the exception of a few TLC issues this was a great experience for our family. We had 11 adults and 3 children and a dog and had plenty of room to enjoy both inside and out. Wonderful location on the bay where we enjoyed both the sunrise and sunset from the dock. Nice pool and deck area and covered porches (which could be enjoyed regardless of weather) as well as screened in area (outdoor kitchen needed some TLC). Upstairs room was perfect for our young adults and kids. Very short walk to beach but we also enjoyed lounging outside on the property. The property management was attentive to our needs and very pleasant to work with. We blew in with the tropical storm but still had a wonderful time. It was ideal for our large group and would love to come again.

Pleasantly surprised
Initially, I was worried about a previous review... I discussed those items with management prior to our arrival and my worries went away. Upon arrival to the house, we (9 of us in our 40s) were pleasantly pleased with the house. The only "issue" that came up was that there was no gas for the grille, but I called and we had gas within a few hours. We had a great time at this house!

Great House for Large Familes
Yes, the house is a bit worn but it's a rental house. I can't imagine how hard it is to keep a beach house in great shape. Between weekly rentals and beach life it's a give that it's not going to be perfect. Nearly all the dock has been demolished by Hurricane Sandy. Made it difficult on us with 3 boats to tie up. So beware of that if you are travelling with a boat. The outside kitchen is useless. I feel that shouldn't be shown in the pictures since it's unusable. We had no internet or cable TV, I didn't even call to have it fixed. That's not that big of a deal since you are supposed to be enjoying the outdoors. Other than those items don't be scared off by the other reviews. The beds were comfy, house was clean, plenty of parking. I would stay here again.

This home like all the other reviews say, does need some TLC. For our family and needs the house did work great. We would come again!

ridden hard, put up wet
It could have been so lovely but has been let go. The pictures made it look so lovely but they must have been photo shopped or taken a long time ago. They weren't accurate at all. The house wasn't shiny and sunny, but was dark worn out as was much of the furniture. There were sharp nails sticking out in the kitchen above the stove and, broken cupboard doors in the bunkroom, some with splinters. The lovely wicker furniture shown in the pictures with attractive cushions had no cushions and were totally unusable without cushions. We called the property manager and got basically no response. She didn't know anything about cushions. The outdoor kitchen was a joke. Nothing worked. It was not even cleaned and had giant rat traps. We had to keep the kids away from those! The pool was filthy when we got there on Saturday. We called and it did get cleaned Monday. To add insult to injury there was a lawn crew there all day every day but one of our stay. They were doing a total tree trimming, hedge trim, garden clean out , raking, mulching etc. It certainly needed it by why did we have to deal with that on our vacation. The noise of chain saws, leaf blowers, mowers etc. , was overpowering and we could not stay there during the day. The guys were very apologetic but it still was unbearable and tons of leaves and debris ended up in the pool everyday. This is the first bad review I have ever had to write but I really don't recomend this property.

Worth the money
As said in previous reviews, the house is nice and has plenty of room. Just needs a little updating. There were a few items that we were surprised had not been taken care of before we arrived, but it did not affect our stay. The layout of the home worked perfect for our family. Loved being on the water and the short walk to the beach.

Filthy condo - big rat in outdoor kitchen areas
I saw other notes about TLC, but TLC is an understatement. This property really should not be listed as a rental. There is basically nothing in the condo that does not need a complete update. Roaches in the master bath upstairs and a big rat walking on the counter of the outdoor kitchen area.

The view is amazing!!
We had a great time at this house with plenty of room for 9 adults and one child. The house was everything it said it was just needs some TLC. Little things need to be fixed and it could use a top to bottom cleaning. But it didn’t stop us from enjoying!

Excellent Location
House is in an amazing location; just outside the ‘downtown’ a couple blocks from the Gulf and a perfect dock for watching the sunset. House could use some TLC. A faucet handle was missing, screen porch was ripped...little things. It was perfect for what we needed. Thanks!

Wonderful but missing some crucial attention
This is a beautiful vacation home. The setting is perfect. Close to beach and right on the bay/intercostal waterway. Tons of room, comfortably sleeps 12-14. Great open floor plan on main level. The pool is a key aspect of renting this home. The few problems are really a management issue at this point. It’s clear the owner has been investing in the property - there’s a new dock and new deck surrounding the pool. The few problems are easy fixes for a manager that is focused on attention to detail. For example, light bulbs were out or missing, we had to go buy our own propane replacement tank, doors stick, and there should be at least a few outdoor umbrellas on the deck and pool. Very nice place but could be spectacular with a little better management and a few more $’s of investment.

I could live there forever
Our stay was amazing! The property is in a wonderful location, the direct access to water and spacious living arrangements was very ideal for our group.
But the overall property had so much more potential and is in obvious need of some TLC.
The pool filter was not very good but our pool use was minimal anyway because the pier and water access served our purpose.
The screened in outdoor cooking area looked as if it hadn't been given any attention for upkeep in years. But we still were able to enjoy a meal in that space and it was great.
The lack of upkeep on the property itself did not keep us from having a wonderful stay, but as we sat enjoying the property there is no way not to notice that it has been neglected over the years and needs some attention.
But all in all, I could live there forever it was truly a paradise stay!!

Location is wonderful,
House location was great but unfortunately it was dirty and a lot of things didn’t work. Two toilets were broken, tv controls were missing, a/c not working etc. the staff did address most of the items and were extremely friendly.

Property has been neglected
While the house and its location have good potential, the condition of the property is appalling. As we arrived around midnight, we immediately noticed a leak in one the roof of on the rooms and immediately reported it. The manager called the next day to say that a leak was repaired, but the roof continued to leak throughout our stay and the room was unusable. The outdoor kitchen wasn’t in a working condition and the bbq grill was a mountain of grease and we made an attempt to clean it, but had to give up. In this current condition the property wasn’t worth the amount we paid for it. Too bad as we thought this could be a place to go back to regularly, but that is not going to be the case.
