This is a perfect cabin for enjoying the Black Hills! It has easy access for all seasons, lots of parking and just minutes from the ski area, tube run, hiking trails and snowmobiling trails.

The cabin has a large, welcoming Great Room with a fireplace and large picture windows to enjoy the scenery, along with an open dining/kitchen area. It is ideal for large groups with 3 bathrooms (one on each level) and 5 sleeping rooms with 3 king-size beds, 1 queen, one with a full bed and a single bed and 2 full-size sofa sleepers in the living areas.

The lower level is the walk-in level and that has 2 bedrooms - 1 with a king and the other bedroom with a queen and a sofa sleeper. This lower level also has a family room with fireplace, TV and sofa sleeper. Upstairs, on the main level are 2 more bedrooms - 1 with a king and 1 with the bunk bed (full on bottom, twin on top). Upstairs is the 5th bedroom with a king size bed.

The cabin has great amenities - with a full kitchen, Wi-Fi, washer & dryer, satellite TV, fireplace, DVD player, Hot Tub and garage. The master bathroom has a jetted bathtub and 5` tiled showers!

This is located right across from Recreational Springs Campground, so you can snowmobile or ATV right from the cabin! It also has flat, easy access with lots of parking.

Nice place. Dirtiest and unorganized and lack of dish towels and dish cloths. No hand soap. Tampons on floor. Swim trunks in bathroom. Carpet not vacuumed well. Dog chews in bed and couch. Holes in towels. No hand soap. Broken drawers in refrigerator. Broken kitchen utinsels in drawer along with sharp knives and definitely hasn’t been cleaned out. Cork screw had a cork in it yet. Jet bathtub didn’t work and took an hour to fill up only to find it didn’t work. We had to clean ashes out of fireplace to use. No locks on patio doors. No sheets or bedding for futons. Blow up mattress had hole in it. Fake plants were filthy by stairs. Etc etc. with 15 people staying I asked for extra bedding and no sheets. Plus not even enough hand soap in dispenser to pump any soap in several bathrooms and not even half bottle of dish soap in the smallest bottle. Old pans that don’t sit flat on the flat top stove top. We haven’t been this disappointed in any of our VRBO ever! Very disappointing

We rented this "cabin" for 3 couples to stay for the Black Hills Jeep Jamboree in September, 2023. The place was as advertised and we had a very enjoyable stay. We were actually able to fit 3 trucks with trailers on the property! Would definitely recommend!

Overall the stay was amazing and I rate this a 5. The area of concern was the closeness to the main road as road noise from trucks or passing UTV's would cause a halt on conversation while on the deck. Nothing astronomical and we fully utilized the deck with no issues on noise inside the house. I highly recommend this property for families and pets.

Property was great for housing 3 generations of family for our holiday getaway. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and good gathering space for us to be together, as well. Location was awesome - great access to Terry Peak, Lead and Deadwood. Thank you!

We had 12 adults and 5 children, so we pushed the house to the max. We managed to accommodate 4 of the children on air mattresses, so it worked out. Otherwise, conveniently located, beautiful setting, very accommodating host. Only suggestion I would have is perhaps a deep cleaning is in order, some bug residue.

The pictures inside are overall accurate. A sofa couch has been replaced with a futon which was fine for kids. We were surprised by the size of deck as it was larger than we thought it would be! A few things had not been cleaned in a while like the ceiling fans but overall very good shape and the kitchen was well stocked and grill was clean! We had a great time and we had 11 adults and 2 kids and it accommodated us great!

The cabin is nice and spacious. However, it could use some TLC. Ice maker broken, deck feels unsafe and needs redone badly. The stove and fridge could use a good thorough cleaning. There is also no door on one of the main bedrooms, very odd. Location is good except it’s very close to the hiway.

Love staying here with our family, their spouses, and grandkids. We had 10 and had beds leftover. Plenty of room to spread out. Amenities are definitely above average. Great location for everything to do in the Black Hills.

A few oddities about cabin, it might sleep 12 but you need explain 3 of them need to sleep in a shared room and 2 need to sleep on rock hard couches / futons with no linens or pillows. Washer and dryer are OMG slow. Four coffee pots not 1 works. And the HOA residents will call the fire/police dept. everyday for some reason or another.

The cabin is exactly what they say it is. It was a clean and beautiful cabin. Plenty of room for 3 couples, could have easily had more people. We loved the wood burning fireplace while we sat around on the main floor. You are close to the road but when you are inside you don't even notice it. It was a perfect weekend getaway and it would be great for a longer stay as well. Would definitely recommend this cabin!

Check in was a breeze - self check in. The home is located close to many outdoor activities. Terry Peak ski slope and snowmobile rentals. Also a short distance to Deadwood. Kitchen well stocked with cooking items. Bedrooms were cozy. Hot tub worked great. Only downfall was it could have been a little cleaner. Rugs needed to be washed and glasses in cupboards needed to be rerun through dishwasher. Over all a great place for a short getaway.

Having visited the Black Hills during bike week, we decided to visit during the "off-season". The week after Labor Day was set and Deer Mountain was selected as the place. It served our purpose very well. We knew the terrain in the area is hilly and the description included a gravel road leading to the house. Traveling with loaded touring Harley's and passengers on hilly gravel roads did not seem all that enticing to us. After hearing from Jonna that other bikes have stayed, we went ahead with our plans. Needless to say, we were pleased upon our arrival. The house is located just off the road on a level lot. The gravel driveway is straight and short. Access to the garage meant we kept our bikes under cover overnight. All of the other amenities were just as described. Don't know if we'll make it back to the Black Hills but, if we do this would the place for us.
