The Sojourner Farmhouse is your modern getaway Bring the kids and even your pup to enjoy the spacious yard with fire pit and outdoor games! Plenty of tables and chairs around the house for work, play, and privacy. Enjoy your stay in the quaint, Oak Grove neighborhood of Portland.

The owner lives in the attached but separated apartment. This will not impact your stay, as each unit has it's own entrance and yard space.

My family and I enjoyed the house and all of its amenities. Erik took great care of us and the home and its charm was a wow! I’ve stayed at many vacation homes and I have to say this house has pretty much everything you need. Great kitchen! Would stay again if an opportunity presented.

This house is cute and fully loaded. The owners were very communicative and responsive. Fantastic coffee bar, fridge had condements, and lots of cooking oils/spices which is a huge plus. Erik was awesome and helpful with a few minor glitches with wifi. Only bit of advice is if you are particular about your pilllows like I am, bring your own. The description has been updated to make it more clear that the owner lives on the same property with a wall connected to the house. I must have missed it and Erik was awesome to hear my feedback. Totally would stay again!!

Our family was in town for two weeks and this was the absolute perfect location. The area is quiet and safe, plus within walking distance to a park which was fantastic for our toddler! While the home is quiet and felt secluded, it was so close to groceries restaurants, walking trails, highways, everything! all of the furniture and beds were extremely comfortable, the home is stocked with literally everything you could need for grilling and meal prep, and it is decorated so perfectly and cute! We were able to hang out in the backyard and grill, play with her daughter, and make s’mores. We are absolutely going to stay here again when we return to town!

This vacation home had everything we needed and more. Its exactly as the pictures show and reviews indicate. Very clean, new, well equipped, designed, decorated and laid out. We stayed five nights. I’m going to add what hadn’t yet been mentioned in the reviews. The 3rd bathroom is on the main floor with toilet and sink. Having 3 bathrooms was very helpful! During our last days, a winter storm came through bringing snow and ice. Erik promptly shoveled the driveway and walkways several times to make sure things were clear for us. He checked to make sure we were warm and didn’t need anything. We really appreciated the extra attention to ensure we had what we needed. When the storm hit Saturday most restaurants closed. We’re from Nebraska so we’re used to winter weather so we headed out to Fred Myers grocery store which conveniently is only a mile away. Once we got groceries we prepared to cook our meals that day and discovered a very well equipped kitchen! Excellent quality cookware with all shapes and sizes we would need. A multitude of bakeware and glass storage containers. Spices, condiments, basic baking needs as well! We even had another small family group venture out to have dinner with us that night and we had a wonderful time in front of the warm fireplace playing games at the large dining room table! This is way too long already, but we found this to be the best VRBO property we’ve rented so far. Thank you Erik for your amazing home and hospitality!

The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas which made our family reunion festive and it felt like home. We had a wonderful time. The house was on a quiet street and close to where my father-in-law lives. We will be back!

The pictures do this home no justice. It has everything you could need during your stay, even chopsticks! The interior design is beautiful and the yard is great for grilling and relaxing. This home is pet friendly and even have a bed and treats for your pup on arrival :) Hosts are responsive and friendly! We had a great stay!!!

The property was clean and welcoming, photos were accurate. Owners communicated well and made it very comfortable. There was lots of room for everyone to have their own space. Was a little farther away from some places than what I had thought. The outdoor space was great and cozy.

We are so glad that we decided to forgo a hotel in the city to stay in this beautiful, clean, cozy home away from home. There were 8 of us (4 adults, 4 teenage boys) who came for a NBA game and were so happy with our stay here for a number of reasons: - there were enough very comfortable beds, pillows and cozy blankets to give all 8 of us great nights sleeps - the whole house was well decorated, very clean and very well stocked, down to toiletries, Q-tips, snacks, coffee, a variety of coffee creamers, etc... We were able to eat most meals here if we chose to. - the nearby train transit system made getting into town easy and affordable (5 min. drive, free car parking) - enjoyed games at the large dining table, a backyard fire pit and cozy family time - was a quiet, safe and private neighbourhood We will definitely try to go back and recommend it to everyone. Thanks Erik, you are a terrific host and we hope to be back!

This was probably the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. The attention to detail with the little extras was appreciated. The check out procedure was simple. We travel to the area often as my son and his family live nearby, would definitely stay again the next time we need more room for extended family celebrations

Cozy and comfortable, just like home. We went to college visits in Oregon and had the pleasure to have our son and new wife join us from Tacoma,Washington ar this lovely home. After a small hiccup in checking in that the property manager quickly rectified, my family and I had a very nice stay. We’ve used VRBO over several years and this home is definitely the most thoughtfully furnished and equipped home we have stayed at. Nice linens, kitchenware, outdoor furnishings, and even universal power cords for our phones in the bedrooms. Very nicely done!

The house was very clean, we had our own parking spot in the driveway and it was super easy to get in. Neighborhood was nice and quiet. Kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed. Had a bit of trouble with the air conditioner but owner responded timely and we were able to figure it out. Overall we could not have been happier and had a great time in Portland/Oak Grove. Would def stay here again!

The farmhouse was a clean and comfortable home base for a trip to see family for a milestone birthday celebration at a local restaurant. It was a familiar neighborhood close to where we needed to be. Everything looked and smelled brand new. Very homey feel with plenty of small extras that made our stay easier. Note that all bedrooms are upstairs so be prepared for that if anyone has issues with a climb up some stairs. We enjoyed our long weekend in this quiet neighborhood in a very central area with a great backyard

Erik's farmhouse is the VRBO by which all other vacation homes will be measured. It is impeccably clean, well thought-out, comfortable and stocked with everything you could want or need. The farmhouse theme is charming, but not overdone. The aesthetic is very clean and not cluttered. I can't imagine anything that could have made our stay better.

We stayed here for a wedding in Portland and were overwhelmed at how beautifully decorated it was. On top of that, it was perfectly stocked with everything you would need for a stay. The ownership was lightning responsive to any question but not many were needed because the place was so well set up. The neighborhood was quiet and had a Voodoo Doughnut shop less than a mile away. It was only 20 minutes to downtown and 15 minutes to the local mall. Plenty of places to eat. Last of all check out was simple, easy and reasonable so it didn’t feel like a list of chores you’d get dinged for not completing, like so many other rentals. If we are in the Portland area again, we will definitely be staying here.

We stayed at this rental home while visiting colleges in the Portland area. The home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, with nice touches like a welcome basket full of snacks and a comfy dog bed for our pup next to the fireplace. The home was well stocked with everything we needed and the owners were very responsive and professional. We would definitely recommend this modern farmhouse-style home!

Cozy farmhouse, just 15 mins outside downtown. Just what we were looking for. Quiet neighborhood with a great coffee shop in walking distance. In and out of the city in a breeze. Made it to a Blazers game, Topgolf in Hillsboro and dining/shopping with just a short ride home, every time.

Host went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. There was a care package for us, holiday decor, and a chewy for our dogs. House is either recently remodeled or redone and is in great condition. Extras were stocked and even a few left over beers in the fridge! Recommended!
