ADDITIONAL MOVEABLE BEDS; 8 cots and 10 lightweight kid mattresses (63x28) These can be moved anywhere needed. (Keep protectors on them.) Extra pillows and sheets for the moveable beds are located in the Navy room closet.
*THE KITCHEN is located downstairs. It is well stocked with 2 side by side refrigerators, 2 side by side stoves, dishwasher, large sink and microwave. The kitchen is stocked with casserole/serving glass dishes, a hand mixer and mixing bowls, pots and pans, cookie sheets, standard cutting boards and a large butcher block, knives, multiple pitchers, a toaster, wash cloths, Keurig coffee maker, oven mittens, basic cooking utensils, a XL crockpot, XL garbage can, plenty of silverware, plates, glasses and plastic cups for children. There are also 2 highchairs.
There are 4 dining room tables which will seat 32 guests. There are additional children's tables as well as two, 6ft adult folding tables with chairs to seat 12-16 more. These are located in the dining room closet. Extra chairs can be found upstairs in the gym on a chair holder.
A spacious family room seamlessly connects to the dining room and kitchen, creating an open and inviting living space. It's equipped with a generous collection of Vtech GO-GO Smart cars and tracks neatly stored within two large ottomans, perfect for entertaining younger children. The bookshelf is stocked with Usborne children's books, providing a variety of reading options. For added comfort, spare blankets are conveniently stored in the sideboard beneath the TV. In addition, you'll find a wide selection of board games on the shelves.
LARGE FAMILY ROOM Opposite the arcade room, you'll find a generously-sized family room, formerly the chapel. This room is now set up with multiple seating arrangements to comfortably accommodate your large group. It also features a podium and microphone (access code available on request), along with an upright piano and vintage organ. To make this space even better this room now has a projector screen where you can watch movies with your large group or do presentations. Additionally, there are three futon beds - two Full-sized (sleeping 2 each) and a twin-sized yellow couch (sleeping 1). Sheets and pillows can be found in the side table or are always available downstairs in the Navy room.
*BATHROOMS, there are 3 public-style bathrooms with multiple stalls for toilets, urinals, and separate showers. We will provide towels for the convenience of your stay, along with toilet paper, and shower gel. Keep in mind this building is 100 Years old so there are some limitations on what we could do for remodeling. But when used as a church for 300 members it had half this many toilets. The entire party likely will not all be able to shower in the morning for an early event. Plan to stagger showers with the group at different times.
ACCESS: Guests will have a code to come and go freely. (Please lock if you leave property.)
CONCERNING PETS: dogs are allowed with a $200 fee per animal, MAX 2 per group. Service dogs stay free but you must provide us with its service number so it can be confirmed on the national service animal directory. Cats are not allowed.
THINGS TO NOTE: This building is nearly 100 years old so there are some old timely quirks. We tried to keep authenticity where we could. The church is heated through boiler and radiant heat, including bedrooms. This heating method can produce hot pipes. When the heat turns on it tends to go quite warm, settles to a comfortable temperature then gets slightly chilly about 8 hours, at which point the boiler starts up again. Because of this, guests will not have access to change the heat. (Please pack accordingly, slippers or shorts :) The main and upstairs floors stay more evenly regulated on the cooler side. The downstairs stays warmer. Magically, the basketball gym manages to stay cooler than the rest of the church.
PARKING: There is room for 15 cars next to the building or across the north side. There is more room if you spread out up and down the block. Please be considerate of neighbors with parking and noise. They have been really great to us as we have restored this building and would like to keep it a positive experience all around.

We found this facility and the Pocatello destination to be outstanding for our group of 29 people. My family included my 9 children, their spouses and 13 grandchildren of various ages. The gym included a well used zip line and climbing wall and was perfect for family competitions. Ping pong and video arcades kept younger kids occupied in spare moments. The chapel was perfect for a family talent show, movies of our family from past years, and an awards night. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area more than sufficient for our large group both for dining and game nights. Bedrooms were well stocked with linens and the building stayed a comfortable temperature through out the stay during a warm week. The air condition provided did the job for us! We used the Mansion as a base to explore the surrounding area..... Lava hot springs for a river float, and the extensive pool and water slide facility which also includes platform diving opportunities. Parks are close by for out door field activities. We also rented the nearby community pool at a very reasonable price for a few hours for a family swimming "Olympic" event. And there is an Ice Cream shop to walk to about a block away with a lovely enclosed garden area any time you need to indulge. $1 a scoop with regular cone or cup! during our visit! We highly recommend the McKinley Mansion and would definitely stay there again. Nice people everywhere we went.

Our family reunion was so fun to have at this location! Almost 70 of us fit comfortably here. The minimal outdoor space was not an issue because there was so much to do inside for all of the kids. They loved the zip line and climbing wall. The arcade games were a hit. It’s also walking distance from a cute little ice cream shop so that was a fun evening activity to walk with the whole crew for a treat.
We went to the Ross Aquatic center one day and then went another day to float the river in Lava Hot Springs.
There was plenty of fridge space for food and cold drinks. We brought a lot of games with us, but were pleasantly surprised to find more games and cards to play there at the place.
As advertised, the a/c wasn’t amazing as it’s an old church remodeled, but that didn’t slow us down and there were def rooms that were cooler than others.
This place is definitely on our list to return to. We just loved it so much.

We stayed for a family reunion. Group of 32. we liked the game room, the gym, the kids and adults had a lot of fun in there The rooms were good size, the beds were comfortable. Plenty of room to sit around and play games or visit. Things that need to be fixed. It is an old building as stated on the listing, there are limited outlets in the bedrooms. Most rooms only have 1 outlet by the light switch by the door no outlets by the bed. We bought extension cords. The first night the breaker kept tripping, at least a dozen times where we had to go flip the switches to get the basement bedroom power back on and the AC unit. There were 2 AC units running that we think kept tripping them one in the kitchen area and one in the bedroom at the end of the hall of the basement bedrooms. Once we turned those off it stopped tripping the breaker so we just ran 2 fans, We had 4 people with Cpap machines and one on oxygen so before bedtime we moved people around so they would be on different breakers so they wouldn’t go off in the night. The next day we just left the AC units off downstairs and just ran the fans and the breaker only tripped once when we turned 1 basement AC unit on. The 2nd night sewage came up thru drains in the mens and unisex bathroom so we all had to use the woman’s bathroom. 2 of the fridges weren’t as cool, not sure if it was the breaker issue we moved everything to 1 fridge. If they can fix the electrical/breaker issue and plumbing it’s a great place for a group.

Kept 30 family members ages 1-77 entertained with plenty to do.
The description says kitchen, bathrooms are all downstairs but not that the basement is not ada accessible. If you have anyone bound to wheelchair, they will not be able to go downstairs
With that said, we would absolutely stay there again with a large group knowing we would have to work around stairs as the only option.

This was an amazing place for a large family reunion. There was so much space and with the gym, play area, and toys, there was so much for kids of all ages to do. The kitchen with 2 large refrigerator/freezers made it easy to keep all our food and there are plenty of bedrooms for so many people. Again, just a wonderful location to stay!!

Had enjoyable family reunion. Space provided fun activities for teenagers and children. The nearby Clean Museum and Lava Hot Springs were enjoyed by all. Outdoor space around property was lacking, but parks and hiking trails within an easy drive. No individual bathroom facilities in space.

The listing on the website is not correct. It states there are 5 full bathroom. There are only 3,including the new part one bathroom. None of the main floor bedrooms or the Plum room had sheets. The plum room only had a queen bed. Site says it also has to singles. Kitchen was great.

Such a great place to play with friends!
We rented for the lonv weekend with friends. The kids ages 17- 1 had such a great time. The property is well stocked and had everything we needed to play. The attention to design and detail were pleasing and everyone loved the updates to the property. Communication with the owners was fast and easy. We will definitely rent again soon!
