Strawberry hill is a historic neighborhood in Kansas City. With its laid back feel, porch-wrapped homes, and sweeping bluff top views above the Missouri River, Strawberry Hill is one of KC Metro's true gems. This neighborhood has so much soul! Guests who drive into KC are welcome to park along the street in front of the residence or in the private parking pad in the back. To access you go through a parking lot on Simpson Ave. Guests who are flying in can take a taxi, Uber, Lyft, or any ride share you prefer.

Once you are here there are plenty of ways to get around! Kansas City offers bird scooters, KC street car, RideKC, Uber, Lyft, RideKC bike and others.

The neighborhood is being revitalized so you will see remodeled homes and older homes. This is typical in the Kansas City City Center. This is an urban neighborhood with a lot of diversity. You will see people walking around. You are not in a suburb so be mindful of the area.

The street to the private back parking looks like an ally way between green space and someones house. It’s connected to a neighbors house so you will see other people. They have kids who play outside and they like to do things outside like BBQs and get togethers. You will see them and potentially hear noise.

The home has recently been remodeled but it is still an older home. There is some wear and tear on the property from guests and age. It is not a new build.

Some neighbors have pets and they let them out sometimes. You may see animals around the neighborhood during your stay. The neighbors dogs will also bark.

The area is up and coming and some houses across the street are being worked on. You might see debris or workers.

Absolutely NO PARTIES!!!

Smoking inside or outside is prohibited. Any evidence there will be a $200 charge. If the smoking detector is removed or tampered with, you will be fined.

If something breaks, please notify me immediately.

All items are accounted for. If something goes missing there will be additional charges incurred for replacement. Prices vary per item.

Stained towels, sheets, or blankets (after being treated and/or bleached and the stain still exists) will be subject to additional charges for replacement.

DO NOT move any furniture without asking me first.

If you bring your furry friends and there is damage or waste is left in the yard or in the home an additional fee will be applied.

This place was an awesome stay while my father-in-law was in the hospital!! Couldn’t be happier with it!

We had two couples and a single person but had plenty of room. I did not realize how far it was from the event we were attending. On the map it showed as close to the Overland Park Convention center. It wasn’t. The neighborhood turned out to be fine, I was concerned at first but all was well. The home was clean, had everything we needed and I was satisfied. Communicated well with the owner/manager.

We were so glad to find this property 12 miles from Worlds of Fun! There were 5 adults, 1 teenager and my schnauzer and we had room for all.

This place was able to fit 10 individuals for the weekend, however, there were minor issues including not enough towels, ants on the wall, and no pillow cases available for extra pillows. Communication with property manager was good, however, she was not able to tend to our needs in a timely manner. The description is not accurate: it originally said there were 4 bathrooms when there are only 2 bathrooms. Also, we thought this place was able to accommodate 10 people comfortably, but 2 people had to sleep on couches. Despite the issues, this place worked fine for the weekend but would compare it to a college student's apartment. There is a cute coffee shop nearby which we loved. Another thing to note was that this place is not located in the best area and we did not feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood at night. Nonetheless, we appreciated the secluded parking in the back.

Used this location for my friends and I to stay close to the city to go to Power and Light. The ubers were cheap to and from this location. Great for what we needed for the night! Ashley, the host, was very quick to responding!

Safe and easy place to stay
Safe and easy place to stay
Comfortable for up to 5 people. More than that can be done, but with reduced simplicity.

I hate to leave a negative review but there were just too many things that were unpleasant. The house was clean on the inside and seemed to have recently been flipped, but it was still lacking. The neighborhood seemed very sketchy and dilapidated. I definitely would not be comfortable walking down the street at night. There are loud barking dogs very early in the am, lots of sirens, a Herd of cats hanging out around the house and two houses down they had a pile of dirty mattresses in the front yard, and cobwebs all over the outside porch area. The inside lacked quality. Some windows had paper blinds that were taped or clipped up and constantly falling. The door to the double bedroom was not secure and fell off the track many times. Some of the outlets didn’t work, and we only found out after trying to charge phones all night. The bathrooms were ok, but offered cheap one ply toilet paper. The beds were very uncomfortable. In the double room the bed was so creaky and we had to hand tighten the screws . It was also disappointing to find a long checklist of cleaning to do’s when there is a hefty cleaning fee. Check in was jumbled too as we didn’t get any info as to how to get in and when we arrived had to stand around trying to figure our. Although Ashley was quick to respond with a code, and friendly she originally gave the wrong one. I wish it was better and hopefully things can improve.
