Really enjoyed the property. House was clean and functional. We appreciated the historical elements of the house and the layout - which functioned very well for adult/kid separation with the back staircase. Location was great and we enjoyed the local coffee shop and BBQ restaurant very much. Would happily book this house again.

Great experience staying at The Quay House

3 day stay with 4 mothers and 4 HS age girls competing in their summer swim championship meet in Carlisle PA. We typically all stay in the same hotel. This time I suggested we change things up and rent a big house. The Quay House was perfect for us. So clean and modern with all the historic charm you could expect from stone home built in 1835. The owner left us a fantastic basket of Trade Joe's snacks which was unexpected and loved. The girls loved it and the moms did too. I highly recommend this home to any large group.

We had a great vacation at the Quay House. We were in town to attend my brother's graduation from Army War College in Carlisle. The hosts were incredible to work with and made several recommendations to help us with a reception dinner. The house itself is amazing and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

The house was everything we imagined and more! So beautiful inside the house and outside! We enjoyed every minute of our stay! Could not complain about one thing. It was the cleanest Vrbo property that we all have every stayed at.
The house had everything we needed. Spent a lot of time in the kitchen, dining room and hanging out around the large rod iron table outside.
Check in went very smoothly. We were even able to check in a bit early! Everything we needed was within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

We had a wonderful time visiting and reminiscing in our parents’ old home. This is the only house the grandkids knew with their grandparents. Staying for one last sleepover after a service to remember their Nana was so special. There were tears and lots of laughter and many, many stories shared. Thank you for the memories!

We loved this house. It is exactly as advertised. We visited and had family and friends with us for my husband’s graduation from the War College. Everything we needed to entertain the group was available and the outdoor space was fabulous!!

My wife, our two daughters and my mother in law were meeting our son and his wife for a long weekend over the 4th of July. We needed a place for 8 to sleep and this property fit the bill. The listing and pictures were spot on. The house has been beautifully restored and it's like stepping back in time. The outdoor spaces were relaxing and in fact we had pizza outdoors one night on the large patio table.
The linens and toiletries provided were ample and the linens were fresh and clean. The beds were comfortable and clean also.
The best part for my MIL was the chair lift to the second floor. She used it alot to get to her bedroom upstairs.
The house and rooms made it comfortable to visit and for my family to enjoy each others company.
Coming back from our day trips was something to look forward to, unlike staying in a hotel.
Would highly reccomend to anyone needing a place to stay for a large group.

Six of my family members stayed for a few days at this lovely home in Dillsburg. It was comfortable and spacious, exactly as pictured in the listing. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay here again in warmer weather to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor space.

We had such a nice time at Quay! It's a well maintained, beautiful property. The string lights over the patio are so pretty in the evening so definitely sit out there if you have a chance. The beds are comfortable, there's plenty of towels and even some toiletries. The host was easy to contact and communicate with. Kris even left us some welcome treats! We'd love to stay again next time we're in town.

Great house with all the amenities
Comfortable, large home with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. We stayed during a heat wave but the AC took care of it. Lovely pastries provided on arrival. Keurig dual coffee maker took care of our coffee needs. Nice outdoor lighting for late night chatting outside. Only negative was street noise when using the outdoor seating. But I would highly recommend this property!

Worth every penny!
Our stay was incredible!! I had 10 guests at the house to surprise my husband for his 40th birthday and we could not have had more fun. Kris was a total angel, super communicative, and helped me map out the entire birthday weekend. She recommended Spirits of The Signers which is a re-creation of the drinks the founding fathers had the night they decided the language that would be used jn The Declaration. Highly highly highly recommend. The house is full of character and history. We just loved it, will be back.

Wonderful House
We really enjoyed our stay at Quay House. The property is lovely, a unique house that looks and is historic, yet has all the modern conveniences. The house has a patio, as well as lovely grounds surrounding it. The hosts (Kris that we dealt with was very helpful and nice) and provided many very nice touches (baked goods, welcome note), nice amenities like very good smelling hand soap and thoughtful items. The kitchen was fully stocked, bedrooms and baths had nice linens/towels and the house is beautifully decorated. I highly recommend this house and if we are in the area again, we would certainly love to stay in Quay House. Thanks for a great and memorable time.

A nice step back in time
Wonderful home with history abound. Very sophisticated decoration and nice welcome package on our arrival. Felt like we were transported to an earlier era, yet had all of the modern conveniences one could ask for.

Wonderful stay
The property is by far the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Not only is it meticulously clean and well maintained, it is artfully designed and decorated. The kitchen is generously equipped with dishes, utensils, and high end appliances. They have thought of everything for their guests' comfort and convenience. Comfortable beds feature lovely fresh linens. Laundry on site and don't get me started on the towel warmers. Conveniently located in a charming and quiet neighborhood, near enough to attractions and delivery. Our week stay was a dream. We definitely hope to stay here again! Such welcoming host as they even included us some surprise gifts for us upon arrival. Perfect place.
