COVID-19 update: We have implemented strict cleaning measures for disinfecting the house between guests. In addition to our regular high standards, we are disinfecting all light switches, remotes, doorknobs, keypads, all surfaces, and any additional heavily touched surfaces around the space. Please consider purchasing third party travel insurance as coronavirus restrictions and cases are changing to protect your trip. Our cancellation policy is firm.
OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
Guest agrees to complete a third-party encrypted ID verification independent of the platform booked on for security purposes. If the guest does not complete the verification or if the host is not comfortable with the screening results, host may cancel the reservation with full refund to the guest.
Parking is limited - One space in the garage and 2 spaces on the driveway. Any other cars can park on a first come first serve basis on the street. Chics beach is busy during the summer season so it is recommended to consolidate vehicles if possible.
There are cameras on the exterior of the home. They are motion activated, records video and audio, and are active during reservations. There is also a decibel monitoring device located in the home. This is a smart device that measures decibel levels only and allows us to respond to extremely loud and sustained volumes. It does NOT record conversation, it only measures decibel levels. This helps us to avoid unauthorized parties. Our goal is for our guests and neighbors to both have an enjoyable experience!
30+ day stays require background check, lease, and deposit after booking. Booking will be canceled if not completed. All stays over 30 days are brokered by Sojourn Realty.
Please note lawn care and trash service may come on the premises during your stay. Days and times vary, please inquire if you need more specifics on when to expect these services to take place during your stay.
HOUSE RULES:
- No smoking allowed (weed or cigarettes) - evidence will incur a $500 minimum fine. Please smoke away from the home away from windows or doors and dispose of cigarette butts properly.
- Any visitors must also be listed in the guest count. Minimum fine of $50 per person per night will apply for any undisclosed guests. The city is strict about maximum occupancy including visitors and we cannot allow more than the max guest count at any one time.
- Please observe a 9 p.m.- 8 a.m. quiet hour for our neighbors. They are our utmost priority to continue to operate short term rentals for years to come. Noise violations are taken seriously and will have one courtesy warning before removal without repayment for nights unspent.
- Our place is not for parties. $500 minimum fine for parties. A party is defined by any more than 10 occupants in the home at any one time. No refund will be given for nights unspent if we are forced to terminate the reservation due to a party. We want you to have a great time with up to 10 guests in the house maximum, including any visitors. This is a residential area and our neighbors rely on us not to disrupt the community. We want to continue to do short term rentals for a long time so please help us respect our neighbors.
- Please note while the home is cleaned very thoroughly between stays and air filters changed regularly, we do allow dogs at the home. Those with severe allergies will need to consider our home’s suitability for their unique needs.
- No refunds will be given for COVID-19 or weather related cancellations. Please consider purchasing trip insurance that covers any unforeseen circumstances. Please note during hurricane season our area is prone to inclement weather.
- $75 per hour charge for not checking out on time. Please communicate if you need more time, if we can accommodate we will not charge a fee.
- If our property has a grill, please clean after use to avoid an extra $75 grill cleaning charge.
- Ice makers are an extra amenity and no refunds will be given if they are not functioning properly.
- If equipment is used that would make the utilities charge become excessive, that will be charged back to the renter.
- No paper towels or wipes (including flushable wipes) are allowed down the drains. If a plumber needs to snake due to wipes or paper towels, the cost will be billed back in full to the guest.
- Any cleaning or maintenance issues must be addressed to the host. We must be able to attempt to fix the issue before offering refunds. If an issue is not addressed during the stay, no refunds will be provided.
- Stays over 60 days will require a clean every 30 days included in your booking fee.
- An application, screening, signed lease and deposit is required for 30+ day rentals-please inquire for more details. Bookings over 30 days are brokered by Sojourn Realty.

Very nice, great location to restaurants and a great view. Parking is the only negative. Too tight and a big vehicle would never fit!

The house was amazing checking in was easy and the veiw was amazing. The hoat checked in before and during and after our stay they reaponded almost emediatly to our texts and we will stay again when we visit the grandkids next year . Would recomend this to any family or couple who juat needs to get away for abit

This property was absolutely perfect for our family vacation with our 2.5 year old and 6 month old. The beach access made all the difference and the location was gorgeous.
My only complaint would be that the check in was too late and the checkout was too early. But that’s because we enjoyed ourselves and the property so much!

We had a great time at the beach and with the weather. We were able to walk to a great restaurant one night and walking right out the door to the beach was awesome.

You cannot beat the location of this property - being able to walk out onto the ocean was a huge plus. Sunsets are gorgeous - great experience!

The property is great regarding its location to the beach and the area. We didn't know in advance that the driveway and parking area were so tight. Wouldn't be bad with a small/medium sized car, but very difficult with a large SUV. I didn't see anything in the VRBO description about the restricted parking situation.

The house was clean and stocked with essentials. Nice views of the beach and water and even saw dolphins swimming by in the early mornings. Beach chairs and other beach items available was a plus. Only negative that didn't impact us would be parking. Definitely tight if you have 2 vehicles. I don't think two larger size SUV's would work. I have a Traverse and struggled to park in the garage, so I just parked in front afraid to do damage to both my vehicle and house. It was a quick 15 minute drive to Virginia Beach. We enjoyed our stay!

Everything advertised was exactly what I received. My family and I were pleasantly pleased with the cleanliness of the entire property from furniture to flooring and bathrooms. My daughter loved the bunk beds! The sunrise view from the home was resplendent!!

We enjoyed the beautiful views out of most rooms (3 levels)! The neighborhood was nice, with an easy walk to Buoy 44. The beach was beautiful, with areas to walk in both directions from the house. The deck furniture was in good condition. The mattresses were comfortable. The sectional couch had a perfect view of the ocean and waves hitting the sand - first time we’ve experienced that from the couch!

Lovely Family Beach
Wonderful experience for our second visit at this property. The kitchen is well-stocked, great towels and bedding, but best of all is the view and location.

Daughter’s Wedding/Son’s 30th Birthday
We were in Virginia for our daughter’s wedding at the Lesner Inn and our son’s 30th Birthday, the next day.
The location of the house couldn’t have been more convenient and Sierra could not have been a better hostess! Initially we were booked at a sister property that was having some window renovations, it wasn’t going to be quite ready for our arrival, and rather than hanging us out to dry, (unlike the situation with the grooms family with another rental…) Sierra kept this property open for us “just in case”. We were very pleased! Although her Kcups were the best I’ve ever had, she didn’t hesitate to provide us with a coffee maker, when we asked! If only she could have controlled the weather… Of course, a little wind & rain couldn’t put a damper on our fun.
We felt truly taken care of during our celebratory weekend! We will not hesitate to contact her in the future for Chic’s Beach.
