As family came and went throughout the week we all had a wonderful time. We love to hike and be outdoors so the location was perfect allowing us to walk to the coast or town and the home facilitated great family interaction. Loved every minute of it.

The house is a 10-minute walk from the beach and surrounded by beautiful old growth trees. There's no cell reception here, but that is somewhat expected in Cambria. The house would've been perfect except that it wasn't very clean. I'd recommend the property, but would ask for them to be diligent in cleaning it.

The location is great, short walking distance to Fiscalini ranch preserve, ocean and town. In a quiet, well maintained neighborhood. The house was very clean except there were spiders inside (given the surroundings, it’s nornal but be aware). The oven didn’t work, maintenance confirmed it but never got back to us or fixed it. We had to come up with alternate ways to cook our food. The dishwasher was an issue the first 2 days creating a white film on everything. It took quite a long time to clean the dishes by hand and figure out the problem (which was laundry detergent was mixed in with the dishwashing pods). The TV was difficult to work, had to figure out how to make the sound come on etc. Not a lot of basics in the kitchen (olive oil, seasonings etc).

We have been staying in Cambria for 26 years. This house is our favorite and to prove it, we stayed here for the second timein a row! The cabin setup makes it truly feel like a cabin in the woods on the beach! The fire pit is safely set up with a grill across the top like fire code restrictions requires to allow a fire to enjoy in the coolevenings. The wrap around balconies with seating provides an amazing view of the ocean to hear the sea birds and seals nearby, see the forest, and enjoy a morning cup of coffee in the beautiful Cambria country. A block away from a hiking trail through what we call the “Enchanted Forest” where you can see the fog rolling in through the trees in the evening and enjoy the giant pinecones, amazing twisted and exotic looking trees, enjoy the foliage including wild blackberries, roses, and wooden hand made benches along the way. Down the hill that can be hiked or walked to, there is another coastal hiking trails with amazing views of the ocean, seals, and seabirds. Also there you can find the most amazing tidepooling and small private beaches to enjoy. The house includes an old fashioned wood burning stove fireplace to cozy up to on cold evenings, TVs in the bedroom and livingroom, bunkbeds, king bed, and a pull out couch bed on the upper level. The lower level is a separate unit for privacy and has a queen bed. All the beds are very comfortable and we sleep better in this house than we do at home. The kitchen is open and arranged perfectly so that everything is close for productivity. Lots of storage in pantry, closets, so plenty of space to put things aways so it feels tidy. All hard wood or tile flooring so its easy to clean up. Neighbors are wonderful! Both last year and this year, my husband went out to help one of the neighbors to carry something they were trying to carry that looked too heavy for them and both times we were thanked with gifts. Super amazingly nice people all over Cambria in general!!

Our extended family came to Cambria for the Memorial Day weekend and rented the Treetop House and another house nearby to accommodate everyone. We really enjoyed this house for its location, ocean view, rustic interior, and its large fenced backyard. Grandparents appreciated the lower-level private suite to stay in. Grandkids liked the bunk beds and they played in the loft area. Main beds were very comfortable with well-appointed bedding. We liked and used the backyard firepit area although we needed to get our own wood. The appliances are older particularly the dishwasher whose interior is stained. The steps up to the front door are poorly lit at night, potential falling hazard. Flashlights are needed to see the way up and down.

Our trip to Cambria was a gathering of friends being able to stay in one place together. The drive to the property is not far from Cambria village, although a realty company is the one you are dealing with, not the owners. This means you’ll have to do a pit stop to retrieve the keys before going to the house & then dropping them off at the realty company upon leaving. The place is spacious and relatively well equipped. The kitchen has little counter space which meant that really only 2 people could be working there at a time. This area could use better lighting, it did have a skylight as well as some overhead lights off of the skylight. Speaking of lighting: the stairs definitely need better lighting approaching the upstairs outside, as well as heading to the fire pit in the evening. It’s easy to trip and fall over roots etc. in the back. We basically hung around the ample dining table when we were at the house.A step ladder should be available because it was difficult to reach items in the kitchen cabinets that were up high. They also need to replace the coffee maker with one that brews coffee in less that 25 minutes. The toilet roll dispenser probably should be a stand alone because the reach to it (for someone who has back issues) is a strain. There is a lot of bedding and other items if needed.Another issue was the carbon monoxide detector was beeping in the downstairs bedroom. Speaking of the downstairs bedroom: I don’t think we were aware that it is a separate entity, which is great if that’s what you want. We didn’t use the loft at all, but that too is a great space to get away.Just a couple more issues:We found both bedroom doors to the outside were not locked. An ice machine would be nice. The welcome binder is falling apart. And the big one: the flag was in tatters and one of the guys removed it because we didn’t want the owners

Had a nice stay including enjoying the fireplace. We had a dog who had a great time. Bit dated but overall homey / cozy spot that we would visit again.

Nothing to complain about. A very nice house, comfortable beds, amenities galore.

The location was great and the house itself is very nice. Loved being a short walk from Fiscalini Preserve. Given the price (and we have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals in Cambria), we were disappointed at the quality of smaller things - worn bath towels and only one wash cloth for two people, no soap in the shower, very cheap cutlery and cooking utensils. Not sure we would repeat on this rental.

Everything thing we needed for a relaxing getaway. Coastal preserve trails with beautiful views. Cambria town very close. Loved everything about the community.

Very clean and had everything we needed. Check in was simple and quick. Pretty much exactly as shown in the listing.
Kitchen had all the amenities. If you like to cook meals at the house it may lack a lot of prep space for making larger meals, but when visiting new areas we like to try local restaurants for most meals so it worked well for us and had everything we needed.
Surrounded by a lot of trees and plants which give it a woodsy feel. You can also see the ocean from the 2nd floor which made for some lovely sunsets.
We also enjoyed watching the deer and wild turkeys that roam the neighborhood.

Just stayed at the Treetop House in Cambria and it was a perfect spot for our family to gather. Beautiful ocean view at sunset off the large balcony. Me and my two twenty-something kids and one of their girlfriends stayed at the house, which was super spacious and mostly had everything we needed. Lots of room for everyone...there is the main part of the house upstairs (be sure you are able to climb stairs), and there is a separate space downstairs with its own entrance, which has a kitchenette and full bathroom with king bed and LOTS of extra room if you wanted to use some blow-up mattresses or just have space. Upstairs included a large dining table, which was great when we had the whole family that was in town come over for pizzas and family time. There is a great barn/shed building with sliding glass doors full of toys for young children in the backyard. And an awesome firepit. My only one small nitpick is that the TV situation could be better. At least one main TV that's a smart TV would be a great upgrade. You currently have to download and navigate an app on your phone just to get some channels. Wasn't super intuitive. Overall a great stay and much appreciated.

Most of the living space and bedrooms are on the second floor with windows and balconies or decks facing every direction. It feels like you are in the trees. The sunsets were magnificent. The kitchen was well stocked and had newer appliances. The beds were super comfortable. There was a playroom in a shed in the backyard and it was perfect for our littles. The fire pit was really great too. Couple of things to note: only one side of the garage opens. The washer and dryer did not work. There are 9 doors to go to the outside so lots to lock up at the end of the day. The downstairs suite doesn’t have a connection the the upstairs without going outside. The main deck outside of the kitchen was not safe for toddlers. They was space under the benches for babies to crawl through. There is no AC and no screens on the windows and lots of bugs in the area so did not feel like leaving the windows open. They did have two fans to use. We would definitely stay here again.

A great place to stay for a weekend with friends! The house was warm and inviting. It was a very well maintained home with everything we needed for a cozy stay. I Love the house and yard, great for our vacation. Absolute beautiful location and a ocean view from the Living room deck. A few things that may be difficult for some people are all the stairs and no baby proofing. The studio is down stairs but to reach the main house you have to climb a flight of stairs. Both those stairs and the stairs to the loft inside the house have no gate which can be scary for young children. Also the window in the loft has no screen and opens fully. I did not realize it till my child went to open it. The yard is fully fenced in and large. It was great for my children to play in. Also the shed in the back was full of toys which my children loved. This house is perfect for family trips. Just people with no mobility issues and older children who can safely navigate stairs.

Everything was wonderful at this house. I would highly recommend due to the spacious house area and beautiful yard. My only recommendation would be a little more furniture downstairs...but it is a great set up with the granny unit. Great view and close proximity to ocean and Fiscalini Ranch.

Amazing Cabin in a Beautiful Setting
We had a great stay here. The cabin was very clean and overall a really nice space to stay in with small children. The shed in the back that is converted to a playroom was so great, our kids did not want to leave. The separate unit below was great for my parents so they could have privacy. The location and views of the ocean and trees framed by big windows were amazing and we could not recommend it more.

Overall my group of six women had a wonderful weekend and the house suited our needs. The number of rooms, beds, baths, and general layout were great. The location, just down the street from an entrance to Fiscalini Ranch Preserve was fantastic. However, there were a couple of small things that showed a general lack of attention to detail that I would expect from a professionally managed property. The main issues were the wifi and land line phone were not working upon arrival and no instructions were provided as to how to restart it, the garage door opener only operated one of two garage doors, and one of the shower heads was damaged making it almost useless. When I called the property manager about some of these issues the agent who returned my call said she had never visited the property so could not answer my questions. I would expect the agent responsible for responding to guests would know the property inside and out!Still, we had a great weekend as the purpose was to enjoy each others company and the house was just a gathering place.

Just Wonderful
The place was beautiful, so easy, and just a great experience. The ocean view isn’t overwhelming but is a great addition. The kitchen has the best cooking gear of any short term rental we’ve ever stayed in. The bedding was quite comfortable. We’d gladly return here!

Great property in a wonderful location!
We were guests of the Treetop House in November 2021, and were really pleased with the house and property. It’s not mentioned in the listing, but through the trees is an ocean view! That was a lovely surprise. The bedding was extremely comfortable and high quality, the extra living space on the lower level was perfect for the pregnant couple in our party. We didn’t do any complex cooking, but did grill out on the porch, and found everything we needed provided for in the kitchen (the tableware was plentiful and lovely). The property inside and out has a warm, woodsy feel. We would have loved to use the outdoor firepit if we stayed longer, but found ourselves cozied by the indoor woodburning fireplace each evening after our outings in and around the Cambria area.
A couple easy tweaks needed — there wasn’t enough furniture to fit our party of 5 in the living room (the couch seats 4 max), so a love seat and reading chair would be a needed addition. Also, the lighting was really terrible in the main space—harsh white light above the dining table, and several table lamps are needed in the living room area. Many lights were also burned out. Luckily, we were able to supplement by bringing lamps in from the bedrooms, with some lighting we had brought and that fixed the ambience. If those tweaks were made to furniture and lighting, I would give it 5 stars. :)
Check in and check out was easy. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

This is a great location for a coastal getaway. The home is clean, with updates throughout, in wonderful condition, especially compared to other rentals in the area. The location is quiet and serene. We enjoyed having brunches on the deck and roasting marshmallows on the fire pit in the evenings. Huge plus - the place is walking distance to the beach and if you are as lucky as we were, you can spot dolphins and seals.
We stayed with one other family, so the place can fit 4 adults and 4 kids. Good location, all the amenities you need are there. The mattresses, bedding and linens made me rethink my own. Would love to come back!
