Had the most relaxing stay while attending our Religious Convention for the weekend! The house was beautiful! So much character and charm and it was exceptionally clean. We loved the location! There were restaurants, bakeries and fun things to do no more than about 5-10 mins away! We will definitely be visiting again next summer!! ☀️

My sister and I stayed at this property for a workcation and it was a lovely home. The beds were comfortable and having a Keurig with provided coffee was wonderful. It felt pretty spacious. It also smelled good- no smoke or anything funky (I was very happy about this). Lighting was good and a lot of them were dimmable so you can make it as bright or dim as you'd like. Had a Roku TV which was nice and worked well. The only challenge I had was with checking in as it was a touch screen and as someone visually impaired, it was a struggle for me. But the hosts were very lovely people and are now considering changing keypad/lock for accessibility which would really be fantastic! They were very friendly and responded very promptly

The place has everything you need! It's close to the Greenway for running. Old Salem and downtown are both within walking distance. We really enjoyed the Art District and the restuarants that Candace recommended.

Great place - just as advertised. Clear and quick communication. And - if you cook - there’s a beautiful Viking stove.

This one of the cleanest properties we've stayed at. It was also very comfortable, had all the necessities and is in a very convenient location. Would definitely stay here again.

We were in town for my son’s graduation from Wake Forest. Plebe is clean and has all the extras! Perfect for us two. I drove my truck and parking was never an issue with the driveway. Candace was great with communication. I’d totally stay here again. 10mins to everything!
Thanks!

We were in town for a Wake Forest football game and it served as a great base of operations for our stay. The property was extremely clean and well equipped. It's an easy walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping downtown.

Great amenities down to the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Kitchen was wonderful and everything was spotless. Communication was super easy and price is so reasonable. Our only complaint was being on a main road making it pretty loud at night but easily solved with ear plugs!

Exactly what we needed a safe clean ( and cute!) place to land after a downtown wedding! Thank you for your hospitality!

One of the most beautiful homes, the owner has put so many wonderful personal touches. Beautiful inside and out. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

This rental home is a winner. I've stayed there three times and have a fourth booked, I think that pretty much says it all. :)

Property was as described. Nice touches throughout such as fluffy towels and condiments in the refrigerator. Beds were comfy.

This is a well-designed, clean home with very comfortable beds and a wonderful, well-stocked kitchen. There were also plenty of towels and a high-quality washer and dryer. The hosts are friendly and responsive and allowed us to check in early, which was so nice of them. I loved the ease of keyless check-in, and the convenience of the location for driving to UNCSA and downtown. It is also right by Old Salem.
This may seem like a small thing, but I love that the sofa was leather! In rental homes, fabric sofas often get very dusty and cause allergy attacks. I also loved that the house doesn't have a bunch of throw pillows and rugs collecting dust. Allergy sufferers know what a big deal this is! The decor really seemed to be chosen with cleanliness in mind.
A nice touch: At one point we were lamenting the fact that we hadn't brought playing cards, and then, voila, I saw a set of playing cards on the shelf.
The one downside is that the neighborhood doesn't look very nice at first sight--there's a gas station a couple of houses down on the other side of the street, and because it is on a busy street the zoning doesn't feel entirely residential. Although it probably isn't a neighborhood where you would want your teen to walk around alone, it did feel safe for me to walk during the day. There's a wonderful coffee shop (Bygood Coffee) and bakery (Camino) within a 5-10 minute walk. If you like baseball, there's also a baseball stadium down the street which is used for the local minor league team, which is a fun perk. Downtown is just a five-minute drive away. I had thought It might be noisy due to street traffic, but it isn't noisy at all, it felt quite peaceful.
I love the old brick walls and the yellow door, which makes the house easy to find. Parking is perfect--you pull right in behind the house and your car is tucked away, easy to unload your luggage through the back door.
Finally, let's talk about the terrific beds. My husband wished he had looked at the mattress tag because he wants to buy the exact same mattress for our home. He said it was the best night's sleep he'd gotten in a long time.

We were in town for a wedding, and this house was the perfect home base. It was much bigger than we'd thought from the photos, and had everything we needed. My spouse especially loved all the original detailing. The proximity to downtown was great as it was close enough to walk, but far enough away to be quiet.

Completely 100% Great
We stayed here during a work conference in Winston and found the entire stay and process so great that I’m starting to look at VRBOs instead of hotels for my business travel in NC. I would undoubtedly stay here again and may even make Winston our hub for future travels in the State just to stay in this trendy, comfortable and easy-to-access spot. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful or communicative. HIGHLY recommended.

We came to Winston Salem to visit our daughter who’s in grad school and to see a play she was working on. The house was 5 minutes from her school and about 10 minutes from the downtown area. After a long day of travel we arrived at the home and it was such a pleasure when we parked in the driving and a few steps away walked into the back door to a sparkly clean and beautifully appointed respite. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fantastic and had everything you’d need to cook a meal and the hosts very carefully had little comforts of home in every room.
Check in was a breeze and the hosts were incredibly accommodating if we had any questions, answering us within 5 minutes of any message we sent.
It’s clear that lots of creativity, thoughtfulness and love went into this home. Thanks so much to our hosts.

Amazing - Coffee shop vibe/vintage stay
My dad had a business meeting and I got to tag along on the trip; we needed a place with 2 bedrooms and this place was ah-mazing! I struggle with migraines, so the green velvet black out curtains were a bonus that I have at home, was not expecting, and so grateful for. The only thing that I did not expect was the sound of street traffic flying by in the late hours of the night or early morning with in turn shook the house, but nothing the hosts can do about that.
Candace and Tyler are wonderful hosts, available to answer any questions, made us feel so welcomed with all the personal touches and even responded to a message I sent in the wee hours of the morning (around 3am) the night before our departure. We were inspired by the design of the home and will definitely stay at this cute yellow door location again!

Winston-Salem Gem!
Loved everything about this property. Perfectly situated, a short drive to the Art District in one direction and UNCSA in the other. The two-bedroom bungalow is spacious, clean and charming. Hosts Candace and Tyler were helpful and easy to communicate with. Will definitely return to this rental when we are in the area again.
