In addition to amenities like a fully appointed kitchen, comfy queen-sized beds in the bedroom and loft, and a cozy fireplace, the Canopy treehouse surrounds you with unparalleled beauty. Spotlighted in Conde Nast Traveler, DownEast, and GQ magazines, this luxurious hobbit house features custom woodwork, antique cabinets, radiant heating tile floors, and a large patio with a private hot tub and fire ring, as well as a lovely perched view of Littlefield Pond.
The Shire, like all 5 of Littlefield Retreat’s vacation homes, is committed to beauty, comfort, and sustainability. For example, guests who drive an EV or plug-in hybrid can charge their vehicles at a Level 2 charger right on the property. Other eco-friendly elements are less visible but just as essential to the our vision: many recycled and reclaimed materials were used in the construction, and the energy that powers the ultra-efficient heating and hot water you enjoy comes from a dedicated solar farm off-site, making Littlefield Retreat’s five boutique tiny homes entirely carbon neutral.
