About this bed and breakfast
Summary:
Our 2021 constructed craftsmen cottage is nestled in the woods but very close to Palmer. This is a quiet 8 acre parcel but only 5 minutes from breweries, shops and restaurants in downtown Palmer. Close to Hatcher Pass, Independence Mine, Glaciers, Hiking, Musk Ox and Reindeer farms. The owner's house is also on the property and they are available to you throughout your stay. The owners have lived in Alaska for over 40 years and are committed to helping you with all there is to experience!
The Space:
Forestlane Cottages were designed and built solely by the owner with simplicity, efficiency and quality. The cottage and windows are situated to provide privacy but yet enjoy the outdoor space where it is located. Enjoy the private cedar wood porch in the morning sun or midday and evening shade from the surrounding trees. The cottage living room has a gas fireplace and reclinable couch chairs to enjoy a tv show or relax from a long day of adventure in Alaska. The kitchen is provided with all the utensils and cookware to provide guest everything they need to make a great home cooked meal.
Guest Access:
All guest have access to the full cottage and the surrounding woods. The quarter mile driveway through the woods and the half mile access road is vey lightly traveled and offer a pleasant walk and fantastic views of the fields and mountains that surround Palmer.

This property is just the right size in just the right location. The owners we great and flexible. The price was amazing and the local attractions were all with a short distance.

This cabin in the woods was absolutely perfect. No surprises- no wondering how the pictures could have made it look so much bigger. Absolute peace and quiet, unplugged feeling sitting out on the porch but only 10 minutes into town if we needed anything. The cabin was immaculate and welcoming. The heating stove was terrific with separate temp controls for the bedroom.
Rob and Vanessa were fantastic hosts, not only giving us a heads-up about a neighbor doing some earthwork ( that we never even heard) but having a few snacks waiting for us as they knew we would not have a chance to stop by Fred Meyer on the way in from the airport. They even offered a few “must see” suggestions.
Believe the ratings - this has been one of the best stays we have ever booked on Vrbo.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It exceeded our expectations and we decided it was just perfect. Rob and Vanessa were responsive and helpful throughout the renting process and our time there. Our cottage was clean, looked brand new and was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pans, linens, soaps, detergents and shampoos. Our bed was comfortable and the laundry facilities were excellent and appreciated as we were there toward the end of our trip. The location of this property was just amazing - in the woods, easily accessible, quiet and beautiful. We so enjoyed our stay. Thank you Rob and Vanessa for a memorable time at your cottage.

My family visited from out of state and I had them stay here, it was close to our home. It is such a beautifully built tiny home in a gorgeous forested area of Palmer’s farm country. They loved it and want to stay here when they visit from now on. The host was very easy to communicate with. I had requested a drip coffee maker and it was at the cabin when my family arrived. Great host, great place to stay! Highly recommend!

Fantastic cabin! Super cute. Clean. Located back in the trees to really feel special. Stayed with my husband. Cabin is equipped with what you'll need for a normal stay. Close to town but far enough we felt separated. Host is friendly & kept communication open. We wish plans allowed us to have stayed longer!

This was my second time staying with Vanessa and Rob. This cute secluded cottage makes our trip to the fair complete with a perfect location that is quiet and quaint. 10/10 recommend.

We could not have been happier with our stay. Rob and Vanessa communicated with us at every step. Always friendly and helpful. The cabin was more than we expected. We felt right at home immediately. It had everything we needed. The furnishings and decorating were charming and new and fresh. The kitchen was well stalked. There was plenty of comfy bedding and towels. It felt like we were in the woods but we were just a short way from town. We especially appreciated the TV cable selections which went far beyond options we have had in other rentals. I hope we get back here soon.

Communication with the owner was wonderful. They answered any questions immediately and also checked in to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful woods and took several walks down to the road. I cozied up with their little electric fire, took warm and inviting showers, cleaned my clothes after being out in the rain, baked goodies in the cure little oven, and even used the fire pit outside with cut wood provided. It was by far the most relaxing stay I have had in Palmer. Easy access to the front door and had a darling porch. The woods are stunning but I would recommend bug spray. The road accessing the cabin is on stunning rolling hills that display Pioneer Peak Mountain majestically. Just an all around amazing stay. I hope to stay again.

Our overall impression of this property exceeded our expectations! The owners were so nice and communicative. The cabin was beautiful and clean! Everything you need they had stocked and ready! The only downfall to our stay were the mosquitos!

The cottage is in a beautiful, cozy location-close to anything and everything near Palmer and Wasilla areas. Our host was very nice and available. Communications we’re easy and welcomed. The cottage was perfect!! It’s more beautiful than the photos. Every detail was very thoughtful from the construction, design, and decor. Great property! Peaceful and private but a quick drive to town for anything you need. Very nice decor and everything we needed was provided. Secluded property that would make for a nice stay any time of year. We will definitely book again when we are in the area.

This bungalow was very secluded and quite lovely. The surrounding area is something out of a dream, although it maybe a bit out of the way for some visitors. It was just me and I was able to get a lot of work done and take some nice walks. All in all terrific place

Beautiful, quite, comfortable, and even better than the pictures show! We had rain but were able to enjoy coffee on the deck and all the comforts this cabin has to offer. Thanks for a great place to stay!

2 very nice new cabins, well supplied kitchen and a fireplace. The owners are very accommodating. Alot of very cool things to do and see all in close proximity to this rental. Hoping to book it next summer for at least a week.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. We were close to Palmer but it felt farther. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and having laundry was a plus. Rob and Vanessa were close and responded to our needs. We would definitely stay again!

Wow! what a treat!!
My niece and I were fortunate to have found this cabin. The cabin was immaculate, everything we could think of was provided. (except the food, he he). We met Ron, what a pleasant man. If I was ever to come to Anchorage again I would certainly stay at this cabin if it is available. I give this rating a 5 plus.

From the beginning to end of our visit, we comfortably settled in. Can’t recommend this spot highly enough. You won’t want yo leave! This sweet cabin is friendly, very clean and happy. Owners made the experience the best with great communications and attention to details. Thanks Vanessa!

This little cottage is a hidden gem here in Palmer, AK.
The property is meticulously crafted and superbly decorated. Everything one needs to enjoy some peace and quiet.
The hosts were great to communicate with and very responsive to questions.
If you want a getaway place to relax, I 100% recommend this one. I will certainly book again.

Rob and Vanessa were great hosts! They provided my son and I with excellent suggestions for restaurants and adventures nearby. And their place was the perfect place for us to land at the end of each amazing day! We would definitely come back!
