Open concept, 20 ft cathedral ceilings in the living/dining/kitchen area. Wood floors throughout the house & high quality tile in all 3 baths. The shabby chic design features Quartz countertops throughout, an Austrian hand cut crystal chandelier centrepiece & solid wood furniture hand crafted by our Island’s famous Kerris Jeffrey. Enjoy all of the luxuries of home with a 52' TV in the master bedroom and 60' in the living room. Surround sound in the main living area and master bedroom. There's a large deck with outdoor speakers (connected to TV, CD, Iphone, Radio) overlooking the water and a sheltered area to have a bbq and enjoy the outdoors even on a rainy day. Enjoy screened in dining in the newly built sunroom.
When you wake up in the morning and step out into the main living area, you will feel like you are standing outside. The sun is beaming, the water glistening, and the birds are in full view. A sight to be seen! Even at night the moon shines in! Air conditioning will keep you comfortable inside when the hot sun is beaming outside.. Enjoy the 5 person hot tub under the stars while listening to your favourite music with the outdoor speakers. Roast some marshmallows at your tiled area campfire pit at the water's edge.
This beautifully designed home has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths in total. 2 bedrooms and 1 bath upstairs and 2 bedrooms on the main level; 1 ensuite (shower, stand alone tub) and 1 bath with shower on the main level. Its a perfect vacation spot close to beaches, attractions, restaurants, boat charters, hiking, biking, kayaking and more! Walk the shore when the tide is out and head to the local bar for a cocktail, or simply stay home and have a drink on the perch located just at the edge of the property and enjoy the view of the boats going by. The house is situated on a very private lot only 10min from Cavendish.
We have a shore in front of our property, not a beach. You can walk quite a distance and see our red sandstone cliffs, shells, and many birds when the tide is out. There is an oyster lease in front of our property so if you see our friendly fisherman, wave him down if you want to buy some oysters off the boat! If you want to swim, you have to be ok with walking down to Lot 12, (we are lot 18) to get away from the oysters or wear your water shoes. The ocean floor is soft and you may find some seagrass depending on time of year. You can wade in this clean water at anytime to cool off. If you want to go in the water directly in front of the house, wear your water shoes! This boating waterway has several areas to explore. Bring your blow up paddle board and can branch off to different areas along this river for a great adventure!!
We are a short 8 min drive to a beautiful beach in French River or 13 min drive to Cavendish Beach and all attractions. Only 10 min to Kensington, 20 min to Summerside and 45 min to Charlottetown. There are several activities very close by.

We absolutely enjoyed a week+ in this stunning home and property, preparing for a family wedding on the island. Situated at the end of a road we were surrounded by total peace and privacy. The home is beautiful & clean. Furniture and beds very comfortable & Kitchen very well stocked, including a Bbq nearby. The open layout easily accommodated 6 adults including the screened in dining room, a personal fav! The grounds are spacious & well maintained including the hot tub and incredible views of the River from expansive decks. Detailed information provided about the home and responses to questions are quick. Great sight seeing and restaurants nearby, don’t miss out on dinner at Sou’West! We Highly recommend staying here and are already talking about returning!!

This is a beautiful property. The management company is first rate and responds to problems quickly. Unfortunately we had rain and wind most of the week and had to leave early due to a hurricane. We were reimbursed for our early departure due to the hurricane which was appreciated. The property has wonderful water views and is very spacious. The only negative is the last road down to the house is dirt and not too good in the rain. I would rent this house again .

We enjoyed our week stay very much. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. An electric hand mixer and a couple of large sheet pans would be nice.
The beds were comfortable and the air conditiining worked very well. It was a little odd that one of the upstairs bedrooms has no closet, and the bathroom lighting for the 2 non primary baths is not really adequate.
The hot tub and the fire pit were fun additions and the overall property is beautiful with truly spectacular views.
All in all we had a lovely time and would stay here again.

This family cottage is a gorgeous, relaxing home to plan your PEI escape around. Centrally located near beaches and the lovely town of New London, this property is the perfect place to unwind after a day spent exploring the island. The view is spectacular for morning coffee/evening cocktails and the well appointed kitchen was a pleasure to work in. The hot tub was the perfect place for star gazing and warming up on cool fall nights during our October visit. I would not hesitate to return!

The property exceeded our expectations. It was well appointed, and we had everything we needed. The beauty of the place, the generous dining table, and outdoor spaces were our favorites.

The house was beautiful and comfortable, just like the photos. The hot-tub was a lovely bonus. Every night the sunset was spectacular as were the stars at night. I wouldn’t recommend swimming in front of the house but water front makes for a beautiful view. A car is a must as needed to drive everywhere but easy to navigate and 15 to 20 minutes to beaches, groceries etc. Had a great stay.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!!
The house was amazing! Extremely clean and tidy! Had all the amenities you need to make you feel right at home. The property has a postcard view overlooking the river which can also be seen through the 20 foot high dining room windows!
We were travelling with 2 other couple one of which was celebrating their 50 wedding anniversary and our stay here provided the perfect setting! We’ll be back!

Peacefulness and Privacy
Ultimate in a relaxing vacation home. We were a family of 4 (children aged 9 and 12) plus grandma. We spent 3 nights at the property just after Thanksgiving. Everyone had so much room and everything was so clean, bright and peaceful. Laurie was never more than a text message away, reliable, easy to deal with and generous with her time. Bring groceries if you are arriving late because the peacefulness of this home also means you have a 15-20 minute drive to a grocery store or restaurant. We ate at Brothers 2 in Summerside, the Brickhouse in Charlottetown and By the Bay in North Rustico. The beds were so comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless, and the grounds were so well kept. If you have curious kids, the exploration opportunities are limitless. From wading along the shoreline, to climbing the red sand beaches, to flying a lobster kite, to canoeing the river, just make sure you bring rubber boots and splash pants so nothing gets in their way of the surprises they will find. We enjoyed the large property's incredible privacy, the indoor and outdoor speaker system which easily hooked up to Spotify, late night Netflix and the impeccable decorations and wall art throughout the home. The sunsets from the property were gorgeous, as were the mornings. The entire back wall of the home is windows. There was nothing like waking up to coffee, a blanket and staring out at the water. Anne of Green Gables is about 20 minutes away and we enjoyed walking the trails attached to Green Gables. We would definitely recommend this home and its owner and hope to one day return.

5 Star all the way...
If you're looking for a great place to stay and a wonderful host, this is the place for you. Exactly as described. A little piece of paradise. Laurie was a pleasure to deal with too - from her quick response time to her fantastic recommendations. We couldn't have asked for a better place.

Location & View
Pros: View, Location, Proximity to all things “Anne”, Comfortable Beds, Condition of property, Responsive Owner
Cons: Under equipped kitchen, all bedrooms except master are a little sparse (one has no closet), little space for setting things. Living area not conducive to “together time”.
Summary: A luxury property, good for a family. Not so good for couples traveling as equals due to the great disparity between the Master and other bedrooms. It looks better than it lives. That having been said, it is amazing what a view makes up for.

Family vacation to PEI
Had a wonderful stay in PEI at this wonderful house. The home was very clean on arrival. The location is very private and surrounded by nature/wildlife. There was lots of space for our kids to run around and explore. The central location allowed us easy day trips to many locations around the island. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on after a sun-soaked day. Would stay again.

Absolutely Beautiful. Perfect in every way
This was our first visit to Prince Edward Island and it was fantastic. My wife and I and our adult children shared this beautiful place for a week and loved it. Upon arrival we found the house spotless, and very accommodating. The kitchen was well equipped, which is important since we are all foodies. The decorations and appointments were beautiful. The location is fantastic, easily driveable to all the sights and attractions you will want to see. We love seafood, and we were able to buy oysters right in the back yard from a local fisherman. Local fresh caught lobster, mussels clams etc are available close buy. I can’t say enough good things about this place, we truly loved it.

A truly beautiful Home away from Home!
We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous home overlooking the Sou West River! We loved waking up to the spectacular views out the large windows to the river & pretty farmers fields! We all delighted in seeing the bald eagle soar by often & rest in a tree by the water. The oyster fisherman also provided great interest to our two small grandsons. Our daughter & son in law loved relaxing in the hot tub once the children were in bed & we all appreciated the comfortable beds! The kitchen is well stocked & we found it easy to cook, barbeque & entertain in the magnificent dining room! Our guests were truly impressed! Laurie is wonderful, answering any queries right away & checking in to make sure we were comfortable. It was great to have the beach pass & we visited a few fabulous beaches, Cavendish & Brackley among them. We also must mention Table restaurant which is an innovative & delicious restaurant a five-minute drive from the cottage! Make a reservation as it is busy! We bought fresh seafood & fish from Gallants in Stanley Bridge which was convenient & fabulous! All in all, it was a fun & memorable holiday with our family & our two little grandsons are already planning next summer!

Beautiful, well-appointed home with panoramic views of water and countryside
This home is a perfect retreat for families. We loved the open concept kitchen-dining-great room with floor to ceiling views of an expansive lawn leading down to the water. Beds, baths, bed linens and bath towels made for very comfortable stay. Kitchen well-equipped. Lots of wide open space outside for kids to run around, play frisbee and bocce ball; lots of shoreline to explore and walk at low tide; canoe to paddle; quiet setting and yet central location from which you can easily access everything the north shore has to offer. Cavendish Beach and Cabot Provincial Park an easy drive. Nice touch that a National Park pass was included with stay. Owner Laurie was very prompt to reply to any questions we had about the property and made us feel very welcome. We can confidently recommend this property and look forward to coming back.

Luxurious home with spectacular views
We had a wonderful time in PEI! The house is exactly as pictured. It is spotlessly clean. Everything was so comfortable. We enjoyed the central air, hot tub, the beautiful bath tub in the master bedroom, comfy beds, and the well-equipped kitchen. We used the canoe and our kayak (we brought the kayak) almost every day. So amazing to just walk down to the water in the yard and go. We used the National park pass to explore, went deep sea fishing (we went to the place on the Bridge next to the Sou’ East restaurant—such great people. We all caught fish (cod) and had a great time, back on land we even got to buy some gorgeous, reasonably priced pottery that the owner makes), we also made a visit to Charlottetown, which we would highly recommend (lots of great restaurants and shops). We also did a lot of biking. On the bikes we visited the Kitchen Witch—such nice folks running that place, bought a beautiful handmade silver necklace from Nancy at her silver studio, and purchased a beautiful print at Tony Diadoti’s art studio. We enjoyed the delicious ice cream at Cows, the girls made their own bathbombs at a great little shop next to the Lost Anchor, who makes delicious Fish and Chips. Our time in PEI was wonderful and the comforts of Laurie”s home made everything so relaxing. Laurie was always very responsive to our needs and quick to respond to any questions we had. She is a very hospitable and kind woman. On our last night we saw the most amazing double rainbow over the house. The island has enchanted us, we can’t wait to come back!

absolutely beautiful
We've traveled to different countries and most parts of western united states. So we're talking some beautiful areas. We like to hike during the day and relax at night.
The setting for this house in conjunction with the house itself is our best ever.
Everything we needed was already there. We actually could have been content just
staying by the house and we're not at all the lounge around types. My wife loved the
décor with the nautical theme-beautifully appointed. The surrounding countryside was lovely. We're considering being repeat customers-which we've never done before.

A perfect view!
The property is beautiful. Exceptionally clean. Perfect place to relax. The Best Beds!
WiFi does not work - no streaming or even googling on any device.
The leftover open food in the cupboards and freezer from previous guests was not appreciated. Open Chips and half eaten bags of nuts, open ice cream in freezer etc - Gross. A habit that should be changed. Cookware is of low quality - some overused - fry pans that won't lie flat. Plates heavily scratched, heavy and worn. Not one nice salad bowl. Not a decent wine glass either.
The third party booking engine used by the owner did not calculate the taxes and pet fee into the charge. Had large unexpected payment at departure - so be careful!!!

Beautiful, inviting, comfortable. Celebrated a wedding anniversary.
We picked this location because it was centrally located for both sides of the island. It felt like a brand new 5 star hotel with the comforts of home. Views are stunning and it sits on an oyster bed with local fisherman visiting daily. Very peaceful!!

Beautiful House in a lovely location
Laurie's house is absolutely lovely and well equipped. It was the perfect spot for our family to celebrate a special birthday. Laurie is a very organized host and made it easy for us to get settled quickly and enjoy our holiday. The views are excellent and we especially loved getting our daily catch of oysters from the oyster man in front of the house. We would definitely recommend this beautiful place and would love to return.

Absolutely lovely spot! Even better than the pictures -- property is amazing, and home was super!

Paradise on the Water
The name of the property says it all! The view is the best, a perfect combination of water and rolling hills. The house is comfortable and spacious. We took advantage of everything, including the canoe, fire pit and hot tub. There are farms and seafood stands nearby that we visited, bringing back fresh products to grill. We struggled with the wi-fi a little, but maybe that was a good thing, keeping us "unplugged" at times and better able to enjoy island life.

A True Paradise
The property is even more beautiful and spacious than the pictures suggest. The location is perfect - close enough to everything on the island and away from the crowds. The house is impeccably kept and has beautiful details. The kitchen is extremely well outfitted with all the necessary utensils, pots, pans, etc one might need. Laurie was very helpful.

Beautiful home with all modern conveniences. A great hub for Island exploration.

Lovely
This house is located about 40 min from Charlottetown in a newly developing area. It is the only house on the street so is super private and quaint. The house itself is beautiful with white walls and huge windows.
The owner was always available when we had questions.
