Beautiful place! Just way too far from elevator and beach. Not the condos fault at all but this place needs another elevator. We had a great time and the place was stunning!

At first, I was skeptical of the location, but after only spending a few hours in the unit, I realized it was perfect for my husband and I. This unit is on the third floor and is closest to the front parking lot. The stairs are right there which is very convenient. You also have lots of privacy because everyone wants to be close to the ocean. We woke up to the sunrise in the morning and enjoyed coffee on the deck with a nice ocean view. after spending an entire day at the beach we came back to the condo to enjoy , the back deck again with the nice breeze and the shade. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you need and you have more than enough towels and hand towels. I loved that it had a washer and dryer in the unit. It was very clean and the best thing of all was the king size bed I highly recommend this unit, we already booked the same unit for next year and we are looking forward to 2025

This was our second time staying at this apartment and in the complex. We loved our time here. They have so much to offer, playground, mini golf, basketball, pickleball, right at the beach, inside and outside pool (with slide). And they even had food trucks and animal exhibition come.
The apartment is perfect for our family of four. It is stocked with most things you need. The beds are comfortable. They have games, TVs, and books. It is pretty far from the elevator if you have issues walking.
Just for the property owner- the couch is nearing its end. It sinks in completely when trying to sit on it. The dryer barely works & needs to be replaced. We stayed a whole week and a better working vacuum cleaner for all the sand would have been great. The dresser in the “kids room” is broken and the drawers are just loose falling out. It is also extremely light during the night from the hallway. We taped it shut but should consider something there. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay again.

The place was nicely updated compared to other units there. However the toilet paper holder kept falling off the wall during normal use. Also when it rains heavily water pours onto the right side of the deck from the roof. The dryer could use an update it took a very long time to dry our clothes. The pullout sofa definitely needs a replacement. The metal part seems broken and the mattress on it has seen better days for sure. Other than those things we enjoyed our stay as we enjoy the amenities the resort has to offer so those things didn't stop us from having fun. The staff at A Place On The Beach is very friendly and welcoming. And the kitchen being fully stocked for cooking in this unit was great as well.

We enjoy A Place at the Beach and their many amenities. I feel like they put money back into the ground to try and keep them up to date and functioning well. The condo itself was furnished well enough to prepare meals but it needs a deep clean and organize. The pots, pans and plates are all a mess and the floors and bathrooms need scrubbing. My kids also found discarded or misplaced medicine (4-5 separate pills) under a bed another guest left behind which is bare minimum for cleaning in my opinion.

Love, love, love this condo. Location, cleanliness, decorated beautifully, the bed is dreamy. Attention to detail. Everything you need. Already looking to book next year. Thank you. We love it here. Our HAPPY PLACE

We enjoyed all the amenities and had a great time.
The property was loved and the beds were comfortable. The place was lovely decorated. It is on the third floor a little away from the elevator but easy accessible. We would definitely book again. It is great wirh little kids.
Only few things that bothered us, shower dripping (easy fix), indoor pool was extremely dirty, and outdoor furniture is broken and needs to be replaced. Besides that, the kitchen was stocked, very pretty decorations, and we had everything we needed. The amenities include mini golf, basketball, tennis, pools, playground and you can rent all sports equipment/books/DVD.
I wish the property manager vacasa would have told us the outdoor pool was closed for maintenance.

We loved the beach, pools, water slide, hot tub, basketball, tennis court, and the live poolside music the one day was a nice unexpected bonus. Would love to give a higher rating but we did have issues cleanliness. First off the poolside bathrooms could use more frequent cleaning. Lots of traffic yes...but they need more attention. The cleaning efforts in the 355 condo were sub par. We arrived to find dirt on the floors, marked up walls, sand in desk chair, baseboards that seem to have never been cleaned, crumbs in pots, leak under kitchen sink that left a gross mat, and soiled furniture with old worn out cushions. The bathrooms and bedrooms were in better condition. Beds were clean and comfortable. Vacasa responded well to our issues and sent a cleaning crew at our earliest convenience. It was cleaner when they left, but still some issues like the dusting, baseboards and walls were not addressed. Surely not a big focus on attention to detail. Seemed if not within easy reach, it didn't get cleaned.

I'm going to break this down into three pieces: the condo itself, the rental company, and the facility A Place At the Beach.
The condo itself was nicely decorated. The walls and baseboards could've used a good cleaning, and the the black and pink mold growing all over the shower curtain is just unacceptable, not when I'm paying 2k a week. There was absolutely nothing left over from other guests and that's a negative. I understand food needs to be thrown out, but it's wise to leave behind staples like plastic bags, grill lighters, etc. I've been staying at APATB for years, and this is the only time we didn't have the benefit of some of those items. Also, I personally found the pillows to be unbearably lumpy and small. Others might disagree with my assessment, but it's hard to imagine that anyone would fine these pillows even remotely comfortable. I appreciated that the washer and dryer worked well, and there were plenty of linens.
The property manager could use some improvement. I emailed via the link in VRBO for check in instructions/gate code and got no response. I checked email the day prior and found nothing. I arrived at 4PM and had to call the APATB office for the gate code. Then, with ice cream and other groceries in my car, I learned that I had to drive BACK down to the causeway to pick up my keys at Vacasa. This is incredibly inconvenient and unnecessary; it's a first in my seven years of staying at this property as well. When I expressed my concerns to the staff at Vacasa, I was told, "Oh, it's okay--you wouldn't know as a first time renter with us." I was absolutely astounded. Not only was I not apologizing, but I was owed an apology. The absurdity of that person's statement just floored me. Then the manager let me know that it's not his fault nobody answered my message from VRBO because that's "just a third party site." No one took any responsibility or even acknowledged how obviously cumbersome this process was. It turned out that an email was sent, but it was sent after 9AM the morning of check in--long after I'd given up on receiving timely instructions, and long after I stopped looking for them because I was busy driving to the facility. Check out was just as inconvenient, as the parking lot is insufficient for the amount of cars needing it, and I was left trying to make a left hand turn on Saturday morning. In all, I will try to avoid Vacasa in the future.
Last, the facility A Place At the Beach has seen better times, and I'm rethinking whether it's worth returning to in the future. Over the past few years I've steadily watched the decline in quality. The pool is often filthy--one year the filters weren't working properly, so they just dumped buckets of chlorine into it, and my children got chemical burns. This year the chlorine was fine, but the pool was often filthy---filthier than it needs to be even for a beach pool. Instead of Lifeguards, the facility employs mall-cop mentality security that operates with no common sense. Example--I watched "Estaban" aggressively get after a couple about moving their items off a lawn chair. Apparently, they went down to the beach and left their items, technically breaking the 10 minute hold rule. The kickers is that after a lengthy conversation, the man tried to go back to his room to get one item, and even with this man's cell number in his phone and full knowledge of the man's time frame and mission, Estaban told me, "Boy he's really going to hate me now. He's at nine minutes, and I'm about to move his stuff again." This might be understandable except that I counted 58 empty chairs at the time this happened. 58! Is that really necessary, or is it harassment? Then Estaban bragged to me that he was an "armed security guard, and I'm not even one of the bad ones. Some of them used to be jailors." I don't need to explain how wildly inappropriate this mentality and statement is from a vacation resort. Maybe lose the rent-a-cops a...

The check in process is a little much. You have to go one place to get the keys then to the property office to get the rest of the info only to be told that there was a map inside the folder to tell us where the room was...how about a little more help than that?

Condo is updated, clean & comfortable. I gave cleanliness a 4/5 only because we dropped something and it was knocked under the bed, upon bending down to get it there was trash & a lot of dust under the bed, otherwise the condo was very clean elsewhere. Our 2 families had plenty of room and did not feel cramped at all. There was a 2 leaks in the bathroom (bathtubs) that they were repairing when we were leaving & they did attempt to repair these immediately upon telling them about it but it required shutting the water off for awhile. The dryer needs to be replaced/repaired as it made a very weird noise & did not dry the clothes all the way unless you ran it for forever. Other things to know, this unit is on the 3rd floor and there is only 1 elevator (closer to the opposite end of the building) so if you are unable to walk a lot this unit is not for you. There is also quite the walk to the beach since you are on the other side of the building. There was also only 3-4 luggage carts & they were very hard to find on check in/check out & the elevator was so busy that we had to use the stairs to carry up and down. You are also expected to wear wrist bands anytime that you are out of your room and security/life guards will ask for these immediately, not a problem for us but it was a hassle if you accidentally forgot them.
The only thing that bothered me about the condo that could be improved is that the master has black out curtains but the second bedroom has very thin, white curtains and at bedtime it still looks like daylight in the room due to the lights in the hallway. We hung towels over the curtains to help some. I would recommend changing these to black out curtains also to help w/ all of the lighting from the hallway.
The condo was very nice. We enjoyed our stay even though there were a few things that were bothersome (mostly all of the walking with little kids and all of the beach stuff they “require”). We would use the unit again but I think older people should be aware of all of the walking & lack of an accessible elevator, as there is only one and it’s on the other side of the building (closer to the pools/beach).

Absolutely will stay here again, no joke the cleanest and most comfortable rental I think I have ever stayed in. Felt comfortable right off the bat and I am picky about cleanliness when it comes to staying in an unfamiliar place. Beach is perfect and huge, highly recommend! Thank you so much!

Great Place to Stay
Our family loves this condo complex, and this was our first time staying in this particular condo. To be honest, we were a little weary of renting, based on lack of reviews, but took a chance. I am so glad we did. The condo was very nicely decorated, and minimal decorations/knickknacks at that which is great when you have young kids...less things for them to get their hands on. The condo was very updated which was a nice feel to it. The beds were incredibly comfortable as well. This particular condo is about as far from the beach as you can get inside the condo complex itself, but my kids loved running the halls, so it was not a big deal. Something to keep in mind though having to go back and forth for restroom, etc. It was fairly close to the indoor pool, and close the playground area. It was on the 3rd floor, so you had a nice view of the ocean if you were standing on the edge of the patio. There were plenty of towels, linens, blankets, dishes, toilet paper, and the TV stand even had games for the kids, which was great! Having a washer/dryer in the unit was also fantastic and much appreciated. You do need to bring your own detergent though, not a big deal. There are blackout curtains in the owner bedroom too. The condo is very updated, clean looking, and comfortable.
We had an issue at check-in with the hall bathroom shower being broken, but a quick call to Vacasa to report it, and the maintenance man BJ was out bright and early the next morning to fix it, and he was super nice and friendly!
My only complaints are that there need to be blackout curtains in the spare bedroom. While there are blinds, as well as a light curtain, the hall light shines right into that room, and makes it seem like daytime. Fortunately we travel with travel black out curtains, so we took care of that ourselves. My only other recommendation would be for the cleaning staff to clean UNDER the beds/couch/chairs....with little kids things were ending up under things, and it was pretty gross to go rescue the items. Additionally, the floors are laminate, but I am not sure the last time they were mopped. While they were clean upon arrival, definitely swept/vacuumed, I'm not sure the last time they were washed/mopped. One of my kids had dropped some food, and when I went to wash it up, the cloth ended up being pretty black. The baseboards could use a wipe down too. Please note, this condo was clean, I am just OCD about cleanliness, and if these things were addressed, I would have given this place 5 stars.
Overall, this is one of the better condos we have stayed at at this condo complex. We enjoy this complex as it is quiet, there is a playground, indoor pool, outdoor pool with waterslide (in season), putt putt golf, and other activities. It is a short drive over the bridge to Morehead and Beaufort, as well as quick drive down to the restaurants in Atlantic beach. You won't regret staying here.
