This house was cozy and charming as pictured. Bedrooms were small. But owners used every bit of space to get in bathrooms and laundry. Bottom floor smelled a little musty . . . Location was nice but wow, the road leading to the house was narrow, winding and hilly. We weren’t sure our packed minivan would make it — but we did. Go to Freed’s Biscuits — delish!

Even though my family and I had to cur our visit short for health reasons, the time we got to spend at Suvdie's cabin was wonderful! The interior fireplace was so unique, and the beds were very comfortable. We'd love the chance to come back someday and appreciated her quick and consistent communication.

Such a fantastic time at this property! It was beautiful and exactly as advertised. Having the house guide was especially helpful as we planned our trip, and the host was so communicative and helpful the whole weekend. Would love to come back!

I stayed at the property for five nights along with my wife and baby, three close friends, and their baby as well. It's a nice cabin in a beautiful setting. The views are great - we saw the sunrise and sunset almost every day - and the amenities, particularly the kitchen and fireplace, were terrific.
My only complaint was the cleanliness. There was a high chair which we used for our baby, but we ended up having to clean and disinfect it ourselves as there were animal droppings of some sort on it where it was being stored (indoors). We also moved the couch around to face the fireplace instead of the TV (and back again before we left), and it was obvious the carpet hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned in quite a while - a lot of feathers from the cushion stuffing, random garbage from previous guests, and a lot of dirt/dust buildup.
That being said, I would still recommend staying here. The host was very responsive, check-in/out was a breeze, and there was a great binder from the host containing information about the property as well as nearby places of interest. The space itself was roomy and great for 5 adults +2 babies. Having two floors was key because we could get our kids to sleep on the lower floor while we cooked and stayed up late and played games on the upper floor. The upper (main) floor is wide open so even when you're cooking or tending the fire or at the table or even outside on the deck, you're all still together. We had a great time.

We had a great time and enjoyed the cozy place for the weekend with friend and family. The owner kept the property very nicely and well equipped with all minor details in the kitchen..... Will recommend highly and will come back again...

This property was a great gathering place for 8 of us. There was plenty of room to gather or spread out if we chose. The owner was very helpful to us and easy to reach. The Shenandoah Valley is an experience everyone should have. Great vacation!

I'm so grateful I found this property. We needed to GET AWAY and options for bringing pups is SO limited. We LUCKED out! The pictures are EXACTLY what the house looks like. You drive into the mountains on these beautiful windy roads and head up this SUPER long and steep drive way! Access is as uncomplicated as it gets. My husband and I had a bunch of teens so we took the upstairs and the teens took the downstairs. Plenty of bathroom and bedroom space. The wrap around porches upstairs and downstairs were EVERYTHING. We had a few nights of stargazing - it's unbelievable but I think this is the first time my kids actually saw stars (note we've seen the stars, obviously, but not like this). The views were just so perfect...soul cleansing. In terms of practicalities, the driveway was too steep for my butt to walk up and down every day, but there was this great walking route behind the house like an unpaved access road. I walked a mile behind the house this trail a couple times a day with the pups. We drove to Luray for the Caverns, and a bit of shopping, which was fantastic. We also hiked Big Schloss and spent a couple days at Lake Laura. The boys mountain biked at Bryce Resort. Really our days were spent playing cards and board games and UNWINDING. The wifi is great, but cell service is spotty, WHICH WE NEEDED!!! We were able to log into Netflix and other accounts to watch movies at night. The kitchen was completely stocked...great pots and pans. Everything you need was in the house. GREAT washer and dryer. The dishwasher was a bit wonky, but who cares. I'm super grateful for this experience and to the owners!
