This was our 2nd time staying here. Perfect to place to get away with family. Host was awesome. Great communication and accommodating. We look forward to our next trip out there .

The house was clean, peaceful. The beds were not comfortable and we decided to leave a night before. The owner is great.
But the bad weather did not help us enjoy the home at its full potential.

The home was spacious and comfortable. Everyone enjoyed having a space to gather and fellowship. There was a beautiful view of the snow cap mountains. It was quite and we all slept well. We had a good time.

We were looking for a place with a pool and hot tub. If you look at the stock photos it looks great! Once seen in person, very disappointing. Pool was filthy, as was the spa. No chlorine in the chlorine float spa water felt slimy. My husband, who is a certified pool tech spotted algae in the pool and took photos as proof. Tests of the water indicated it was unsanitary to use, but just the look of it would deter you from using it. After confronting the owner he begged us not to leave a review. he seemed very condescending, as you can tell by other reviews. felt deceived by his photos. Interior was a bit dirty, but acceptable. we were allowed to check-in early, which we did. He did offer a late check-out, but was not needed as we were very disappointed, and could not wait to get out. It would have been nice to have a can opener also.

Pros
- air conditioning works great
- spacious
- clean
- owner responded quickly when the door wouldn't open because the batteries were out
Cons
- wish the a/c had been on before we arrived..it was 92 in the house when we got there and took a while to cool down
- back door didn't lock
- no shade in backyard at all, no umbrellas, you need a little reprieve from the sun
- coffee maker broken
- kitchen is not well equipped at all (no measuring cups, tablespoons, no basic stuff like salt, only a used sponge to wash dishes with, only one dish towel)
- not enough towels
- not enough toilet paper (I could understand if we were staying for a week or something, but there should be enough tp for a weekend)
- didn't tell us the pool guy was coming saturday morning, which scared us
- somebody's old ice cream blizzard left in freezer lol

Comfortable house. We had 6 adults staying with no problems. Hot tub was nice after a day of hiking. Some nice restaurants nearby that did take out. The house is 30 min from the west gate of Joshua Tree National Park.

So this was our second Vrbo stay, the house was ok, not ready to have guest stay at all. The shower was very old, the tile didn’t seem clean. The second bathroom shower didn’t have hot water; which we found out the 2nd day of our stay. We’re married so 1 shower was ok but could not shower at the same time. The owner of the property texted me almost every day I was there which was weird, like if you’re that concerned maybe don’t rent the house out. The kitchen utensils were very thrift store, that can be easily updated; we didn’t want to eat off of them. There was some mold throughout the house but hey we drove 8 hours for a getaway, what can you do. The pool and foozball are in the garage which isn’t very inviting. Only issue was waking up Saturday morning in boxer briefs and having a pool guy outside at like 8am without any notice. The hot tub was amazing, heated free of charge, again needed updates as the pool and hot tub bottom we’re basically peeling off. Very gracious for letting us smoke outside. When you rent a hotel or home you’d expect it to be better than what you live in and we live in a 1000sf apartment and the apartment is way nicer. With a few updates, new paint, bathroom mirrors and getting rid of half the signs in the house would make this a great stay. Thank goodness downtown Palm Springs was minutes away as the house wasn’tvery stay friendly. Overall a decent trip to the area, 100% would spend a little more money and do some more checking around before renting this place.

The house was clean, with comfortable beds and plenty of kitchen items for basic cooking. The 2nd bathroom did not have hot water for the shower but Roberto did communicate that to me prior to my check in. The person who was supposed to fix it was sick and it couldn’t get done in time for our stay; It was not a deal breaker for my group. Our biggest disappointment was when we found out the spa wouldn’t heat up. We had planned for an evening in the spa and actually had the spa option in our property selection criteria. Roberto was easy to get in touch with and was apologetic. I would advise asking about the spa prior to booking if that is an important option to you. Overall the house was nice. Game room, board games and a large TV are nice features.

We had a very nice & relaxing time here. We were looking for a place to unwind from our day to day stresses. The home was very clean and well maintained. Upon arrival, it was easy to access the home with the code sent through email. No problems. On our first day there, we contacted the host Roberto to have the pool heated for us overnight to use the next day. He got back with us right away. Something went wrong where the timer for the pool did not start & the pool was still cold in the morning. We contacted Roberto again. He apologized and fixed the issue right away. He continued to heat the pool that day and heated it the following day at no charge. Thank you Roberto for a fun & relaxing stay!

My family and I stayed here because we had concert tickets at a casino for the weekend, and also celebrated St. Patrick's by making our own festive meal. My mom said it was the "house of sayings" because she was amused by the decor with inspirational words. We applaud that many of the cupboards in the kitchen and bathrooms were labeled, which is nice since we were not familiar with the space and it made it easier to find what we needed. That being said, most of what we needed was provided. However, we could have used a casserole dish or baking sheet to prepare bacon in the oven. We ended up making it on the stove with a skillet.
It's also noteworthy that there is no dishwasher, so be prepared to hand-wash. It was nice that we could receive grocery deliveries, and I ended up donating a bottle of dish soap (there was some in a dispenser attached to the dish rack), a bottle of hand soap, and a dish scrubber I bought. There was not a fresh sponge provided for dishes, just a used one. Also, no kitchen towels/potholder for handling hot items aside from the BBQ hot pad. I also bought some trash bags because the trash was getting full and I did not see any extra bags below the sink. Then, when I removed the full trash bag I found 1 single spare bag in the trash can. There is a board under the sink cupboard, where it is typically recessed and resulted in our feet getting hit when we used the sink.
The garage space was enjoyable. No room to park a vehicle, but we enjoyed the billiards table. There was also a foosball table; I personally would have enjoyed a shuffleboard or even air hockey more, but that's me! There was just one TV, in the main room, and unfortunately the network connection was not working. We contacted Roberto and he communicated well and gave his best efforts to troubleshoot, had us do a soft reset of powering off the TV. We worked at it awhile longer and after a hard reset (unplugging the TV) we got the connection to work.
The bedrooms were fairly small, but the beds were queen and comfortable. The master bedroom was nice, more space, and also I loved that it connected to the back patio. We had paid extra for the pool to be heated. Both the pool and jacuzzi were cold on arrival, but we figured out the controls to get it to temperature. Also, we were surprised that someone entered the back patio without notice Saturday morning to tend to the pool.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and Roberto was friendly. Thank you.

What a great property in Desert Hot Springs! My 18 year old son actually chose this property as we were searching for a place to stay for his 18th birthday/HS graduation trip to the area. It is wonderful for a family with the pool and hot tub, game area, and functional kitchen. The views of the mountains are stunning! Some of the favorite parts of our trip were simply relaxing in the hot tub, playing bags in the yard and enjoying the scenery and sunshine. Please be aware, though, that the pool is not heated, obviously they don't need that in the heat of the summer, but when we visited in Feb., the pool was too cold to swim comfortably - my 18 year old jumped in but didn't last long. The hot tub was very warm and relaxing however.
The home is in a quiet, residential neighborhood, which is what we wanted, to be away from the expense and noise of Palm Springs, yet it is only 15-20 minutes to the action. We also drove to Joshua Tree, the tram, and Indian Canyon and those were all less than an hour drive from the home.
The home itself was very clean. Was plenty of room for 3 of us - my opinion is it would be comfortable for up to 4 adults, 2 adults and 4 kids would be fine - 6 adults would be tight, IMHO. The house has ample coffee and filters, spices and oil in the kitchen; shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers. Very helpful. The one suggestion I would have would be to add a kitchen shears for cutting packaging and a baking sheet and/or 9x13 baking dish. We wanted to bake some fries in the oven and were kinda stuck.
All in all a wonderful property that I would book again if I was ever planning another vacay to Palm Springs. Thanks for sharing your lovely place with us!

My family of 6 had a pleasant stay for 4 nights over the Thanksgiving week. The house is clearly a rental and so there's been some wear and tear but overall it is well maintained. All of the utilities worked and the WIFI was fast and reliable. The beds were fine and there is also an inflatable mattress. We enjoyed the hot tub (too cold to use the pool). One caveat is there is no dishwasher and the kitchen is really not stocked with the implements for cooking a real meal, but there is a barbeque outside and plates, bowls, cups, utensils, etc. The neighborhood was quiet and the yard enclosed for a dog. We'd stay again.
