We loved the layout and design of this home. The care with which it has been decorated and equipped is delightful. The new outdoor area with hot tub and fire table is a great addition. We used every space within and outside - great for socializing as well as private time. The bedroom with fireplace and view of ocean is a treat. Upstairs game room is A+ (so often a dank afterthought, this one is airy, attractive and has a balcony.) Carpeted nook a nice spot for napping/reading. You can tell the managers of this property really care about guest experience, from the visual appeal from every vantage point to the thoughtful organization of even small spaces. We vacation in Bodega Bay and Dillon Beach regularly and everyone in our group declared this to be the best property yet. Tip for other guests: bring fire starters to help get the wood burning fireplace in the sitting room going. Easy walk to Dillon Beach general store to buy them. Prior guest had logged out of NetFlix which was a little annoying, but if you’re vacationing at the beach to watch television, you’re doing it wrong, in my book. Fun to observe deer, fawns and a neighborhood cat roaming about. You can tell this house has just about everything because the single item we missed was a serving tray (quite possible there was one tucked into pantry somewhere).

The house is located very close to a culdesac to walk down to the beach. We love this house because it is easy to enter without climbing stairs. The house was very clean. The kitchen was nice but was missing a few key types of usual items such as a colander (such as to drain a potful of pasta). We could not find any salt and pepper dispensers for the table. The house gets a lot of sun and got pretty warm. We would have loved to open some windows in the family room but none of the windows had screens, nor did the slider. This was the same situation upstairs in the game room.Other than those few things, we had a great time and plan to be back.

The house was very clean, well-kept and the layout was functional, plenty of pots, pans, utensils and plates for the stay. With the wind blowing at 30mph the pool table, foosball and ping pong table got a lot of use. The halibut fishing was on point, and we went home with an ice chest full of delicious filets. The location is awesome as the beach is a 30 second walk from the house and the sunsets are front row with no obstructions. Just a great place to stay.

Two restaurant recommendations that are about 20 minutes away —— Nick’s Cove in Marshall (lunch & dinner) and Estero Cafe in Valley Ford (breakfast & lunch).
The scenic car drives through this entire region are spectacular.

Etoile De Mer is a beautiful home and is very well cared for. Kitchen, while not spacious is well equipped and easy to work in. Dinnerware and flatware is plentiful which is really great! Bed and bath linen quality is lovely. I found the mattress to be very firm. The living and family room provides comfortable seating for multiple people - a rare treat! Thoughtful hospitality! Very special place to enjoy the ocean splendor.

This is our 3rd stay here and we absolutely love it. This is a beautiful, well cared for home with great attention to detail. The decor and design creates a very comfortable yet upscale atmosphere. Wonderful ocean views and easy access to the beach. Kitchen is well supplied to cook and dine in. We really appreciate that nice music is playing and lights are on whenever we arrive. Very welcoming. Backyard has been recently updated and was so well done! Great outside seating area!! Nice towels and linens and helpful amenities like toothbrush, etc. Thank you!

We recently visited this home during a quick get away for Spring Break, and we really enjoyed our stay. The home is in a perfect location, is very nice, and the games (pool table, foosball, and ping pong) were a blast!! GREAT views of the ocean, and a very short walk to the beach. Such a beautiful place to stay!
The house is beautifully decorated and picturesque views of the ocean and sunrise & sunsets.
The morning tide pools were robust with shells and starfish. My little granddaughters were in awe to be able to experience the beautiful marine life.
Our only disappointment was my “Lesson Learned”I only had 2 search criteria while looking for a home… a hot tub and walking distance to beach so the disappointment we all had when we tried to turn on the hot tub to get it heated up in which it did not turn on only to be told that the hot tub has not been serviced yet and that why it was not listed! It was listed… as that was my search criteria my granddaughters were really looking forward to it as well as my back! So from now on I’m asking and not assuming that the hot tub is in working order! The primary bathroom had a jet tub so that was the next best thing for them!

My husband and I took a few family members to visit Dillon Beach. We chose Etoile de Mer because of its great location and easy access to the beach. The house is clean and well equipped with all the kitchen essentials as well as a fantastic upstairs area where the whole family can enjoy games or just relax by the fire place. We even got to watch a beautiful sunset on one of the days we were there. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again soon!

- The place is great but there are just too many things that do not work exactly. For the price, I expected seamlessness.
1. Water was not hot enough...and was cold in the master
2. The bluetooth speaker didnt have a power cable
3. The living area TV remote didnt work so we could not use it
4. The garage door motor chain was broken so you couldnt open the door with the button
5. Since the door could not be opened, the BBQ could not be used (it was in the garage)
6. The one call I had with some person called "Stacey". She was a bit rude
On the flip side:
- The location is amazing
- The house outside of these nits was fine
- The games room is great
- The other folks in property management side were helpful and responsive
Is it worth paying thousands of $ over 3 days? No.
Is it great..outside of that. Yes. Dillon beach is a nice place.

We had a great visit and loved the house’s layout. It was perfect for two families with kids. Everyone enjoyed walking down to the beach, and older kids especially liked ping pong and their own space upstairs. Our family of 6 loved staying at Etoile De Mer. The games were perfect for entertaining the kids (and us parents) when we weren't at the beach. The layout was perfect for everyone to have their own space. We loved the open floor plan in the kitchen , living and dining room so that we could all be together while prepping and eating meals. The view is stunning! The customer service were very attentive and able to help me when I needed it.

This house is spectacular. So much room and plenty of activities for everyone. The weather did not work in our favor but the short walk to the beach and the beautiful view was over the top. The house had everything you needed and more. There were a couple of heated ping pong games. Everyone had a great time. Will definitely be back.

Five high school friends had our reunion after almost 60 years at Star at the Sea. Five older ladies enjoyed the house and its location. Despite the colder/foggier weather and the Power outage one morning, we had a lovely experience in this spacious space. The information packet needs to be updated as the cost of beach parking was twice the amount etc. Also recommend indicating where the spare blankets/sheets are located as we searched for quite a while for them. Better lighting by the beds would improve reading in bed etc. I appreciated the property manager who went beyond the call of duty returning something I left after check out. I would definitely recommend this property but most of all the Wine Country to Coast organization.

A lovely, well maintained home with an ocean view and a short walk down to the beach. If you like to cook and eat in, this home has one of the best-equipped kitchens among the many nice homes we’ve stayed in. Very bright. Pool and ping-pong tables are fun to have as well.

We loved waking up to the deer in the front yard, walking to the beach (a little steep for kiddos), playing in the waves, watching the sunset (had wonderful weather) and visiting the general store (sometimes several times a day!). The house worked well for us (2 kids, 2 adults). Thanks!

Loved our time at Dillon Beach. The house was lovely. It's remote (yes the nearest grocery store of any kind is 20/25 min) though a smaller store nearby. The views are great and it is quiet! We enjoyed our time there.

Amazing getaway
This property and the views are absolutely amazing. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, more tranquil than “party”. Beach super easy access. The home was beautiful and clean with lots of amenities for a family. Lots of battles were had on the fooseball (sp) table. Enjoyed coffee every morning on the patio chairs. Wi-fi worked great since service is sketchy in the area. We came with 3 teenagers so washing clothes was a must *tip: bring a small detergent. The house was a hit and would absolutely do it again.

I rented the home for my mom who is 86 to spend time with her niece and nephew who were visiting her from Philadelphia. All three are retired academicians who loved the serene settings while they read, wrote, walked the trails, knitted, cooked and reminisced. We will be coming back.
