Sarah was the most amazing host when we were in town for my son's wedding. Her beautiful home was the perfect place for a quiet escape from all gatherings! We all hope to stay again.

Our family had a great stay at Sarah's home. Comfortable, quiet, sunny home with convenient access to Santa Monica, Palisades and Malibu.
Some toys for the kids, plenty of beach towels, and breakfast goodies upon check-in.
We look forward to coming back!

Sarah’s place in Malibu was perfect for us for a family wedding weekend. Great location and beautiful place!

If you are a family looking for a short term place to crash while exploring Malibu - and don’t have any questions or need anything from the host, then this is a fine, basic option.
If you are looking for a high-end, well maintained, clean house and a truly hospitable host, steer clear! I made the mistake of thinking this home would be a great escape for a long term stay in LA for remote work and relaxation. It turned out to be just the opposite and a huge disappointment. House was filthy when I arrived (host did not leave one day for cleaning as listing states and admitted that she didn’t hire a cleaning service after her last guest left). Host reluctantly sent cleaner the next day and was defensive and difficult when I asked her to fix clogged primary bedroom sink, broken furniture, and provide basic necessities like trash cans and laundry hamper. Also, the house is run down with old carpet, stained walls, broken screens, peeling paint, missing or burnt out lightbulbs, non working tv, etc. But the worst part came when host demanded that I share the washer dryer with one of her other tenants (??!). Gross. The listing includes false information about appliances and condition of house, so beware. Lastly, I’m sure Sarah will leave a nasty reply to this review - since that’s the kind of “host” she is.

Sarah was an amazing host! Our time there was over the holidays, and she went the extra mile to have a Christmas tree and poinsettia set up. Sarah even sent us a lovely welcome note. She communicated with us throughout our stay, even to let us know when the gardener was coming.
This home is situated in a beautiful walkable neighborhood with mountain views and the ocean is one mile down the hill. It was perfect for the four of us, parents with two adult kids. It is spacious and bright. The skylights made the mostly overcast and rainy days bearable. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need and more. Because the house is situated in the hills, phone service can be spotty depending on what type of phone carrier you have. One thing to note is the washer and dryer is located in the garage, not a laundry room.
Thank you Sarah for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our time at your gorgeous home. We would highly recommend this home.

The ad was misleading but the property is nice just make sure you know the booking only gets you 3 rooms then to get a 4th they charge you more per night to have the 4th. But other than that the property is well kept and enjoyable

This house was perfect for us and loved every minute of being there! The location is perfect, only a one and a half minute drive to the beach. Mountains meet ocean is the perfect way to describe it. Breathtaking ocean views on the drive down. Perfectly situation with easy access between Malibu, Pacific Palisades and Santa Monica. We loved the house, it felt like home the minute we walked in and I didn’t want to leave as we were there for 2.5 weeks. Spacious and open, bright with natural light, comfortable beds, large walk-in closet, beautifully decorated, zen, quiet, with mountain views from the shower and a lemon tree out front. Our 1 year old son learned how to say lemons from the first hand experience of walking outside and picking one. Sarah is an incredible host. She knew we were coming in late and had the pack-n-play all set up for us and there were a few toys already there for us to play with! The communication was fast, clear and easy. We will definitely be back, in fact, this is the only home I want to stay at in the future in LA! Thank you Sarah!

I traveled from NY to LA with my wife, 3 kids & mother & stayed at this beautiful hillside home on the border of Malibu & Palisades. The property was clean and spacious. Check in process was very easy and the owner was in communication throughout. We would highly recommend. Thanks again Sarah

Sarah was very responsive the few times I had questions and her home is beautiful. An open concept house perfect for a family or friends. Beautiful beaches nearby and great hiking trails. We enjoyed our time there and made some wonderful memories. 💜

Beautiful Home, Great Stay
Beautiful open plan home with relaxing outdoor area. We are a family of 6 with adult children and it was perfect for our 4-day visit with extended family in Malibu. Even though there are only 2 bathrooms it was plenty for our crew. There are three bedrooms, but instead of sharing a room, our 2 younger sons (21 and 23) drew straws and one slept very comfortably on the large white couch - with the extra pillows and a cozy comforter we found in the master bedroom closet, he was in good shape. We only cooked breakfasts at the house, but the kitchen is open and well-stocked, and the table seats 6. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening cocktails and conversation outside - coming from the Southeast (Atlanta), the mild and breezy Malibu weather was heaven! Very quiet, very private, and very little noise from neighboring homes. There is a washer and dryer in the garage, although we didn't use them, and there is an ironing board and iron in one of the bedroom closets (took us a while to find it). It was a wonderful oasis to return to each evening. Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your home with us!

Great location and a great responsive host
The location was fantastic and while the neighbourhood is a quite one, it was the right one for us with a family of 5 and young kids. We had to reach out to the host a couple of times and everytime the response was great and immediate. We loved our stay and would love to come back.

A nice quiet escape
Very spacious, beautiful light, simple clean design and decor. We would definitely rent this house again if we come back to this area!

Gorgeous area!
The neighborhood is incredibly fancy, safe, and beautiful. We loved making lemonade from the lemon trees out front--so California! It's also a close drive (though I wouldn't say walkable–a mile straight uphill on the way home) to the beach and an easy ride to restaurants in Santa Monica or Malibu. Our only downside was being a little weirded out that someone (not sure if host or another guest) was clearly staying at the guest house that's attached to this house. Even though the spaces are separate, it's something that we thought should be communicated in advance if you don't also rent the guest house. Cute backyard and right near a hiking trail.

Malibu Vacation
We stayed at this property for 8 days and it was really really nice. We were 3 couples (6 adults) and we each had a bedroom to sleep. We shared one bathroom with 2 couples which was OK but not great (lesson learned and this does not reflect on the house or host). The master bedroom & bathroom were excellent.
The most fabulous aspect of this property was its location; easy to get to and adequate parking for two vehicles in the drive way. The drive down the steep sloped roads every morning, with a full view of the Pacific Ocean, was breathtakingly beautiful. The proximity to a nice grocery store (Vons), the awesome beaches with cool restaurants, and the Getty Villa Estate was very convenient, and you could literally walk down to the beach if you are in good physical shape (not recommended for the elderly). Overall the house was in good shape, but it's not large enough for 6 adults with regard to the bedrooms and the outside patio. Sarah was a very gracious host and provided very good and plentyful information on the area with regard to shopping and eating. She was in regular contact with us to answer any questions we had. I strongly recommend this place but only for 2-4 adults with kids.
Sarah Thank you again for letting us stay at your place.

Wonderful, peaceful hideaway in LA
We had a wonderful stay at Sarah's place. Nice location to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday LA yet still within distance to many major attractions. Our family spent the last few days in LA at Sarah's, driving up to Malibu beach for lunch and down to Santa Monica Pier for amusement! Sarah was very helpful and responsive! Will stay again!

Christmas in California
Our 18 year old son moved to LA in September so we flew from Iowa to be together for the holiday. I needed 4 beds in preferably different bedrooms. When I contacted Silver, she noted there was a guest house available too and that was perfect for my brother-in-law! She also decorated this amazing house for Christmas. Renting was easy and the property had everything we wanted and more.

Sarah was so wonderful with communication and flexibility. Property so comfortable and in a great location. Missed a microwave in main house, but of minor significance since everything else was great. Will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic House, and Even Better Host
So staying at several VRBO properties over the years, there is one thing I value above all else -- the host. And Sarah did not disappoint. She was exceptionally helpful throughout the process knowing we were traveling a significant distance coming out to LA. She was a true joy to work with and I would definitively rent this property again in a heartbeat.
The house is amazingly comfortable and open. The neighborhood is excellent with very nicely appointed houses, quiet neighbors, and beautiful views. We walked in the neighborhood in the evenings, and between runs to USC to take things to my kid, we were able to go to the beach a couple of times and mess around in town as well. The only thing I would note is that we do a lot of cooking (hence why we rent houses when we travel) due to nut allergies with the kids. Going out to eat can be a logistical issue sometimes, so we did do a fair amount of cooking and the stocking of utensils, etc. in the kitchen could be a bit better. But we managed and found enough of what we needed to have wonderful meals out on the back patio.
And the patios are fantastic, along with the landscaping. Sarah's gardens around the house are filled with beautiful flowers which made the house incredibly welcoming. And out front she has lemon trees filled with lemons! It is truly an amazing place and we had such a great time being there.
All in all the place was FIVE STARS. Very clean, quiet and relaxing. And close to everything without being in the middle of everything, which made it a perfect fit for us. And then to top it all off, Sarah is a wonderful, amazing and kind person and made the stay all that much better -- thank you Sarah!!!

Amazing house in a perfect location
The house became our home away from home during our stay. We were very busy during our stay and each day that we would come back to the house it really was our peaceful sanctuary. The house is beautiful, lots of room, quiet and in a great location if you want to be close to the ocean and beaches yet not too far from Westwood, Holywood etc. It was really cool that we could walk to the Getty Villa. That is a must do during your stay. Sarah ( the owner) was great to work with and was very responsive to any question we had about the house or the area.
