About this apartment rental
**Please note that there is a $40 + tax pet fee, per pet, per stay. There will be an additional $50 fine if pets were brought to the property without notifying us. Due to a severe allergy one of our staff has, unfortunately we are unable to host cats. This room is dog friendly, not cat friendly. **
My husband and I bought the Mountain Peaks Motel Jan 2021. Since we purchased the property, we did a full renovation for all the rooms. We are conveniently located at the heart of Leadville. Walking
You will have the entire room to your self. This includes 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The room also includes a TV with direct TV services, a small dining/working table. Towels and bathroom essentials are provided. We have a private parking lot where guests can park, we do our best to plow the parking lot, but when it snows, inevitably it will become slippery, please be careful walking in the parking lot. No smoking is allowed on the property inside or outside. If you need to smoke, feel free to go to the sidewalk next to the property.
You have access to your room and the parking lot. We are in the process of building more common areas to provide a even better experience, stay tuned!
We love chatting with our guests and do the best we can to ensure the guest have a great experience! But we also want to respect if you want your personal space. Just don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything or have any questions!
We are right on the main street of Leadville. Two Mile Hi brewery is right across the street. There is also a gas station across the street providing basic services. We love High Mountain Pies, they have amazing pizza and wings, Tennessee Pass Café has one of the best brussels sprouts in town, they also have some delicious burgers/sandwich. If you are a meat eater, check out Qincys, their bacon wrapped fillet mignon is on point....they also serve prime ribs on weekends. All these restaurants are less than 5 minutes walk away.
If you want to check out down town Leadville, it's a short 5-10 minutes walk. We are also close to a bunch of trail heads and ski resorts. We'd recommend a car if you want to enjoy the 100 miles + trail system in Leadville or go shred at the skiing resorts.

The property was as described. The room was a little smaller than I thought it might be. The unit was well equipped with towels, toilet paper, coffee pot and tea pot. It had a nice refrigerator and microwave.

Clean, comfortable beds, simple. Just what we needed. The host even included a few items, one of them being sunblock, which we discovered we were going to need for our adventures ahead.

Nice little motel room. Very clean. Nicely stocked with everything you need. Didn’t use the kitchen, but it appeared to be well stocked. Very short walk to everything in downtown Leadville. Host was very communicative and the whole stay was easy. Nothing fancy, but very comfortable and recommend.

Was never able to access kitchen with given code. Very limited storage.

Awesome traditional motor lodge! The improvements increase comfort but still speak to the classic roadside motor lodge era. Very comfortable and right on the main drag of Leadville. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!!

Small, but very clean with comfortable beds. Special surprise touches made it a very enjoyable experience.

The room awas clean and uniquely decorated, with some special amenities. It was a little tight for 4 adults with luggage. Convenient location to walk into town.

The management is great at communicating and left us a little gift bag and dog treats. The room is a cute little space and had a nice refrigerator. Location is at one end of the main street. Renting the room for 3 people and a dog was a little expensive. Next time I will go directly to the motel web site to see if the price is better.

We’d definitely stay there again!

A good short stay
My wife, a friend, my dog and I needed a place to stay near Mt Elbert to be able to get an early start to our hike. We had a great quick stay. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, and was pleasantly surprised to find Klondike bars in the freezer! I was initially fined an additional $50 as the property owners did not see that I had disclosed I was bringing my dog, but that was refunded after following up with the owners. Overall - a good stay.

Can I give it more than 5 stars?? :)
I planned a one night hiking trip with a friend and her pup to see Turquoise Lake and decided to stay in Leadville. We booked our stay at Mountain Peaks Motel.
BEST. DECISION. EVER.
I reserved through Vrbo - super easy (obviously), fees were transparent, price was affordable, and the description of the room was spot on. The room was definitely renovated recently (cozy but modern), sheets, bedspreads, shower curtain all looked brand new, a Nest (I think) to manage heat (though, obviously didn't need it since we visited in August, lol; a couple of fans kept the temps very comfortable), fridge and microwave were a cute, Tiffany blue retro set, French coffee press to get us going in the morning, an essential oil diffuser and white noise device contributed to the ambiance (listed to birds chirping in the am!) and, last but not least, a goodie back of treats... including a dog biscuit for Ranger! The motel is walking distance to some great restaurants and bars (prime rib at Quincy's - ate outside with the pup - and a few adult beverages at Silver Dollar Saloon - also dog friendly), a small/chill brewery is right next door, and breakfast burritos at Casa Sanchez (YUM). Plus, VIEWS - but that's really just Leadville, not the motel :)
I cannot recommend Mountain Peaks Motel enough! Ting was very responsive and friendly. About a day before, I got instructions on which room, how to access it and didn't need to go through a whole "in person" check in process.
I feel absurd saying this (and it's not a paid endorsement, lol) but my friend and I couldn't stop raving about our room. We're planning another quick trip and will absolutely stay there!
