Very nice home away from home. Ideal location for restaurants, shops and things to do. Kent and Laura had great advice on saving money in expensive Toronto. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Overall our stay at Mineola Cottage was very nice. The place is very well kept and clean, in a very safe neighborhood, with safe and easy parking. It has everything you could possibly need including an insuite washer dryer which is a very nice luxury. My only critiques are not at all with the accomodation or hosts, but with the massive amount of construction and traffic going on in the area. Had I known how much time I was going to spend just getting from one place to another, I would have planned my trip differently.

Lovely cottage in a gorgeous neighborhood! Nicely appointed with everything you need, the owners have truly thought out all the details. We would stay here again in a heartbeat 🙂, Kevin and Laura are wonderful hosts.

Laura and Kevin were the best hosts! Very attentive and very lovely people. They couldn't do enough for us. And our dog:) The pool was an added luxury;)

We stayed 2 weeks here, and never regretted it for a moment! The neighborhood is quiet, lush, and beautiful. The apartment itself is lovely, and the owners clearly spared little expense in the renovation of the space, and take great pride in it... high-end finishes abound! The hosts were friendly, accommodating, and incredibly responsive. The bed is comfortable, the laundry machines are huge, the walk-in closet can easily hold all your stuff, and the genuine marble in the bathroom is stunning. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat!
Do take note that this is a fairly suburban neighborhood about 30 minutes' drive from downtown Toronto, so if you're looking for an urban, bustling, 'middle of the action' experience, this might not be the place for you. That said, there is no shortage of restaurants, bars, and night life in Port Credit.
Another item of note, especially for those who are mobility-limited... Although this is a ground floor, single-level unit, there are a couple of floor transitions that you might find unfriendly, particularly if you are a wheelchair user.
Pride of ownership, and pride in hosting really show in this place, and we'd happily stay here again.

My girlfriend and I spent two nights at this property. It was located in a beautiful neighborhood and the place itself was perfect for us. It was extremely clean and had everything we could possibly need! The pictures are exactly what the property actually looks like! The property manager was easy to reach and readily answered any questions we had. We even had an adorable welcome basket upon check-in :) The downtown area was such a fun spot with lots of different restaurants so the location was ideal for us. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here and would highly recommend staying here if you want a quaint place to stay with the action happening just outside of the area!

First of all, we did not actually stay on the property given its condition. Upon entering the unit we noted how cold it felt and musty/moldy it smelled (property owner said, “The only thing I can think of it with the smell is it was pouring rain all day and there’s a lot of old trees around here!”). We did our initial walk about to get a sense of the condition of the space and were shocked! We took photos and left the property immediately, (even though we did NOT have another place booked for our 10 day stay and had to go book something last minute). It was clear to us this place did not meet the criteria for a safe and comfortable stay. Some obvious issues noted: the underside of the toilet bowl rim full of accumulated uncleaned toilet matter (clearly visible), the toilet seat pins’ underside coated with black matter, food remnants in the kitchen sink and on the cooktop, white leather couch that had shredded open grain which presented as brown (not as seen in the advertisement pictures at all), the light switch seams had black gunk accumulated in them, there was no heat source in the bedroom or bathroom, and there was accumulated dust and dirt on the kitchen counter and kitchen table. Bringing all of this to the owner’s attention, we were met with this response, “I’d be more than happy to get the cleaners in. There is definitely no mold and I clean the place myself”. Not sure what I am missing here, but aren’t the properties on VRBO, or any other rental platform, hotels etc. supposed to be cleaned BEFORE guests arrive?? VRBO also stated that the cleaning fee charge by owners is supposed to be for “professional” cleaning.

loved my two weeks at Laura and Kevin's place. The place is tiny but perfect for an individual or a couple. It is well maintained and well designed. Neighborhood was quiet and safe with easy access to pretty much everything. I couldn't thank the hosts enough for the way they accommodated all my asks, including me having to change my travel dates twice. I went on the trip because I needed to catch my breath. It was so peaceful that it was like a calming balm for the soul!
Highly recommend the location and the hosts!

I loved my stay in this style-conscious and super comfortable 1 bedroom haven! From the brand new mattress (deep restful sleep) to the fireplace and living area open concept set-up, to the spaciousness of the bonus rooms with storage and AMAZING walk-in closet… I was more than impressed and pleased! Taking a nice relaxing shower was so lovely with the decor and top quality of tiles and furnishings. The surrounding area of this home is the best with the breathtaking tree-lines streets of Mineola (especially Autumn colours)! Laura and Kevin are wonderful hosts and available for any extra comfort or question I had. Thank you Laura for your genuine positivity and lively energy too! What a beautiful experience all around!

Thank you, Laura and Kevin. As we shared with you, the moment we arrived to your place, we experienced we had found a second home and over the weeks that we stayed during our renovations, we continued to be so appreciative of the space that you have and how you care for it! We were also saying it had a spa-like and home-like quality and thank you again for working with us over the week as our renovation journey continued to shift! Thank you again and we will likely be back with our next renovation and share with friends in between!

We recently stayed at this beautiful and restful spot for about two weeks while we completed our reno at our house. For us it was a seamless transition the moment we walked in and we where immediately able to relax, take a breath, put our suitcases away and continued with running our business and take care of everything on the personal life front - we now refer to this location as our second home. We will be back and looking forward to visiting again.

My Staycation!!
I booked Kevin's suite last-minute when a renovation project in my home required my cat and I to leave for a few days.
The suite is bright and spacious, and well-appointed with everything I needed for a few days away.
The location was perfect for me (just a 15 minute walk to get groceries), and my cat enjoyed going for walks in the neighbourhood, with quiet treed streets. She loved lounging in the deep-set windowsills to watch squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits and birds outside.
Kevin was a wonderful host, who responded quickly to any texts I sent asking questions.
I would definitely stay there again!
