Place has lots of bedrooms for large gathering. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, pots and kitchen accessories. Description should mention there is only access between the levels outside. We didn't bother locking the doors as the sliding glass doors could not be locked. Place needs renovated but good for a large family. Place also provided kayaks which was great..

We so enjoyed our stay on this property! All 7 of our children, spouses, significant others and 6 grandbabies all fit with room to spare. The layout seemed odd when we first viewed the property but turned out to work just fine with plenty of ways to access both levels. The beach was beautiful, the neighborhood lovely and the weather cooperated during our stay. We so enjoyed the outside space and the use of kayaks was a treat. Our host was accommodating and very nice as we had the pleasure of meeting her upon checkin. Thank you Nancie for a wonderful week with our family!

We had a great time staying at this location. The home (although a little dated) was perfect. Plenty of room, close to the beach, right on the canal, and centrally located both to Bethany and Fenwick.

Exactly as advertised and very comfortable for our family trip. Easy walk to beautiful beach and well stocked with everything we needed for our large group.

Could be better. For this kind of money it needs updating. Very hard to wash/dry/pack all linen before morning check out. Bedrooms not conducive to adult couples planning get away from kids.

Two spaces for the price of one. Grandparents enjoyed the lower level and access to the dock. The next generation were comfortable upstairs. Community activity on the shaded back deck made everyone happy. The canal access was perfect for kayaking.

We docked our boat up to the back deck. The back deck was very nice and easily accommodated our extended family. The house was well stocked with linens and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and small appliances.
The dryer on the first floor took a long time to dry clothing. But the biggest negative was the fact that there were no inside stairs connecting the first and second floors.

The listing was accurate. We had issues with the wifi. Phone service in that area is not very good so the wifi was slow even when it worked. Other than that, it was the perfect place for our large family group.

Great stay! Place was exactly as advertised. Plenty of room for our entire friend group and everything was in perfect working order. Would definitely stay again

The inside of the house is a little dated and needs love. Ceiling tiles have seen some humidity damage and are sagging.
The deck is beautiful but has some damage. A chair went through the dry rotted floor board but it was only one and mostly the deck is in good shape.
The week before us was Senior Week and the place was a bit of a mess, flys everywhere and we could never get rid of them. Reported them but they said nothing they could do. We hung a bunch of fly strips and killed maybe 100+. Thought it was coming from inside the walls but at the end we realized it was just left over from before.
Location is great. House is great and affordable for large families. Inside is a little dated.
Hanging on the deck is very nice.

We searched for a home that would accommodate my husband and me, our 3 kids and their spouses, our 8 grandchildren (all under the age of 7!) and our dog - for 2 weeks! This one fit us perfectly. We were able to eat together almost every evening on the back deck (weather was amazing), and then gather as a family in the spacious, comfy living room. The home came with every kitchen item we needed to be able to cook all our meals. We brought a couple of kayaks along and took advantage of the bay access. I was grateful for the additional safety of the fence around the back deck, and the sliding glass door upstairs was impossible for our littles to open, so heavy, so we didn't worry about them going out without our knowledge. We loved the beach - we must have picked the best time of year to come because we almost had it to ourselves. We had 5 vehicles to park, and there was plenty of space.
Nancie was extremely responsive throughout the booking process and stay. Thank you so much for hosting our family!

Just as pictured. Weird layout. No interior stairs so it was really awkward hanging out in the house. No proper stove downstairs so we were always having to go up and down for food and supplies. Great outdoor space.
The whole house could use a little TLC.
Biggest complaint are the ridiculous laundry requirements. They expect you to wash, dry and put away everything! Sheets, towels, bathmats!
I have never had to do that (normal would be to strip the beds and put everything in the laundry room)
The owner was responsive to questions.

The process to rent and get into property went well and the owner was very responsive to questions. There was lots of beds for everyone. The deck in the back along the canal was wonderful. The community was quiet and peaceful. Appliances are fairly new and worked well. Lots of parking for family. Wi-Fi worked well. No internal access between floors.

We had a large group, range of ages from seven to over 70, mainly cooked in for dinners, beach filled days and fishing nights. Very well equipped with every cooking accoutrement you could think of, many towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, more! Lots of room. Very short drive to beach trail. Quiet town, and short drives to grocery, boardwalks and shops. Nice neighborhood for walking, friendly neighbors. Not a luxury home, but perfect for what we were looking for, especially with 12 grandchildren! Just our speed!

South Bethany Belle
Unique home that accommodated our extended family of 18 quite comfortably. Additional people might make it too cramped. Well stocked from dinnerware to bedding. Clothes drying took quite long. Enjoyed kayaking from deck landing and ate most of our meals outside on the very spacious deck. No inside connecting stairway, but stairways in front and back were quite adequate. Beach walk a little farther than expected. All in all, a good family week.

Awful Experience
The house is not clean, every closet is full of towels, sheets, and many other items. Mold in some vents and others completely covered in dust. The deck is unsafe, broken boards, loose boards, sections of railing are barely holding on and the rest is very unstable. Mold in the bathrooms as well. Owner sent a maintenance person to "correct" issues with a screw gun and some mold spray. Very difficult to breath in the ground level. No stairs inside of the place to get from first and second floor, so you need to use the deteriorating steps and deck to traverse. Place was a nightmare and the host was not helpful at all. Would not recommend to anyone for any reason.
