About this house rental

Our Deluxe rooms have a large bay window with 2 armchairs from which to enjoy the stunning panoramic Sea Views. King size 1000 pocket bed (5" wide), 44” digital Smart TV, bath robes, luxury toiletries, complementary tea and coffee tray including real coffee, fruit teas, hot chocolate and biscuits. Dimensions 3.7m x 3.1m plus bay window 2.8m wide and 1m deep. Ideal for guests who want one of our best rooms we have to offer and extra space.

The Helaina is a Winner of 'Guest Accomodation of the Year' Yorkshire Coast and rated as 5 Star Guest Accomodation by Visit Britain. It is located within a quiet area of Scarborough, yet is just a 5 minutes walk from Scarborough's North and South beaches, the town centre and historic harbour. The Helaina overlooks Scarborough's North Bay with stunning of the sea, beach, castle and miles of coastline

There is no shortage of great pubs, bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The Helaina is perfectly placed for walkers, and superb local cliff walks are easily accessed from the accommodation. Alternatively a few minutes' drive brings you onto the North Yorkshire Moors. Free local parking permits are available to our guests on arrival, and the accommodation has a licensed drinks service and free WiFi throughout.

Our newly refurbished rooms are modern, stylish and very comfortable. Guests enjoy high quality en-suite facilities with soft bathrobes, large bath towels, beautiful toiletries and 1000 pocket sprung beds. Our bedrooms are packed with goodies including free WiFi, digital TV, hair driers, and refreshments including biscuits, tea, filter coffee, fruit teas and hot chocolate. Guests can expect the highest quality decor.

We offer a great breakfast menu including; Full English, Full Vegetarian, Smoked Salmon Scrambled Eggs and Bagel and a range of Omelettes and Toasties. A continental selection of fresh Cafetiere Coffee, a choice of Breakfast, Fruit and Herbal Teas, Fruit Juices, fresh Fruit Salad, Pastries, Yogurts and freshly baked Bread. Breakfast is always served to 10am on the weekends.

Room was very modern and well equipped. Location was good to walk to North or South beach/bars attractions etc. plenty of parking, great staff and lots of breakfast choice. Even provided a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary

We had a wonderful stay at The Helaina. The room was amazing with a fantastic sea view and a super comfortable bed. The breakfasts were incredible and kept us full for most of the day. All the staff were really pleasant and friendly and made the whole visit an enjoyable experience.

Spotlessly clean, tidy and enjoyable to stay in. Staff always polite and helpful. Bedroom a nice size. Bathroom a bit cramped but perfectly acceptable. Shower door very stiff but ok once we got the hang of it. Shower itself a nice temperature and pressure.

Location, the rooms, the beds, the food,all the things you Hope to find when away from home, We just love staying here, and if we can't get in at the Helena, we won't go to Scarborough the staff play a big part in your stay, they are just so nice, and can't do enough for you, the rooms are all so compy, probley the best night sleep you will have away from your own bed, we have been going to the Helena, for many years, and although, you can't always get it the penthouse sweet is just perfect

Spotlessly clean, fluffy towels and quality bed linen. Wonderful location, very quiet with a fantastic sea view, worth the extra. Great breakfast which was cooked to order, so piping hot. Service was very friendly from check in to check out. As a lone female visitor, I felt very safe in both the room and the location.

Absolutely everything! Great choice of breakfasts on offer, all beautifully cooked and presented. Luxuriosly comfortable bed, spotlessly clean linen and towels. Especially loved sitting in the bay window with the panoramic view of the bay. A huge 'Thank you' to Lucki. (I don't suppose I've spelt that correctly, but you know who you are!)🤗🥰

Arrived on the Tuesday- left on Friday morning. Accommodation was beautiful, clean and the room we stayed in spacious, with an amazing view over North Bay. All staff very friendly and catered to all our requirements. Breakfast each morning was delicious and plenty of variety. Loved our stay and can’t wait to be back. All aspects pitched to a high standard.

Decided at the last minute that we could do with a bit of sea air. As luck would have it, a room with a sea view was available at the Helaina. We booked online on their own website, which was very straight forward. Check in was smooth, easy and friendly. Covid procedures were excellent, well explained, and well followed by all the staff we saw.

Enjoyable stay with friendly staff and great choice of food. Comfortable bed and very clean room. View across the north bay was a bonus. Spacious and pleasant eating area Peasholm park about a10 min. walk away which we enjoyed walking around. We spent one day in Whitby using the local bus, although the time table is sometimes rather hit and miss.

Excellent service and attention to detail. Room very comfortable, especially the bed - we have been to many hotels and had bad nights due to bad beds. Breakfast was excellently cooked and the menu choice good.

Fantastic room with a sea view. Nice to be able to wake up to see the sea from your bed and what a view. The room was clean, classy and the bed was very comfortable. The lounge and dining areas were inviting and comfortable, spotlessly clean and well laid out. Breakfast service and quality and selection were excellent (and yummy!). Car parking arrangements were effective and convenient.
