Our vacation rental had issues with cleanliness and maintenance. On our first night, I contacted the management team to let them know of the issues and took pictures. The management team did send out housekeeping to vacuum. The sand are the bunkbeds. However, they did not address the other maintenance issues, or the other cleaning this issues with the home. there are certain expectations when you are spending a good deal of money and those expectations definitely were not met with this home. After speaking with a representative and texting back-and-forth with the management team, no one offered compensation for our inconvenience. Nor did they address any of the other issues with the home. I would not rent from vacation Haven again. floors needed to be clean, cobwebs need to be dusted, general repairs needed to be made, and the overall condition of the outside of the home needed to be addressed. I feel that the management team wanted to know what was going on, but they did not care to fix the problems while we are staying there. Nor do I feel that they are concerned about my overall experience.

The house was very nice looking at first glance but the cleanliness was lacking. I called and spoke with management and they took notes. The community pool was nice when there wasnt a bunch of unsupervised kids. The beach was a 15 min walk. I would have liked to be closer. The closest beach accesses were mostly private beaches so the public beach was quite a ways down. Overall, for the first time to Destin, it was ok. Located in a very commercialized area.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. It was perfect for our group of 7 adults and 2 children. It is very close to the beach and pool. We enjoyed both! We cooked in some nights and ate out some. All appliances were in great working order, loved the ice maker. The vacation haven boxes were a special treat. We all enjoyed the deck on the second floor. We would stay here again.
Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice and big and clean.

The house is very nice and sleeps up to 12 people. The furnishings are clean and the neighborhood is pretty. The lagoon pool is great. It was easy to use the beach shuttle several times to get to the beach and back. The only negative was a problem with the clothes dryer. It quit on our first full day there and was never repaired before we left. We had to hang towels, etc., outside to dry.

We can't say enough good things about this property. The location was great, 7-8 minute walk to the beach and near all the great attractions and shopping. The beaches and pool were spectacular. The house was just as described and pictured. Very comfortable (especially the beds), clean and the kitchen was indeed not missing a thing. It was a true cooks dream. And the management company was superb. Very minor fixes, broken toaster, gas tank for the grill (even on the weekend) and everything was responded to in the blink of an eye, literally. Would happily rent from this organization anytime. Thank you for a wonderful stay with my family!!

The beautiful rental property was perfect for my family of five and my parents to get away for Spring Break. The home itself was spacious, cozy and filled with all of the necessities and more. My kids loved spending their days and evenings at the amazing heated lagoon style pool located a block away or at the beach less located less than a half mile away. We were also impressed with the prompt response from Vacation Haven with the small things that we needed help with. My family loved it so much that we hope to return again in the future. We highly recommend it!

The overall trip was awesome and the house was perfect! The only negative was that our house code didn’t work for check in so we had to wait for a maintenance worker to come by and help change the code/ fix. They were timely and were at the house within 30 minutes. Great spacious house perfect for a beach trip.

Beautiful home with plenty of space. The beds are super comfortable. Pool area very nice. Loved the shuttle bus that picked you up and brought you back from the beach. Definitely would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is walking distance to the pool and less than a mile from the beautiful beach. The kitchen is complete and has plenty of plates and glasses, utensils and we love the ICE Maker!!! We will definitely come back and refer it to our friends. Thank you Beach Ya To It!!!

The property was very nice and accommodating. The kitchen has everything you need! Room for everyone in our party and a great fit! The full size bunk beds were excellent for our group. We encountered a few issues but they were remedied as quickly as possible and with little inconvenience. Pool is nice and the kids really enjoyed it. Would certainly stay here again!

The first thing that we encountered when we entered this property were two dead roaches. One under the sofa and one in master bathroom in first floor.
There was hair (pubic) on toilet seats and on pillow in room upstairs.
The liner on door of washing machine was full of mold. It stunk so bad. Maintenance was sent out to try and clean it but all they did was scrub the outside of the liner and run the machine with vinegar. That liner needs to be replaced. The ice maker was the same. Full of mold. The oven was not cleaned. It was full of oil and when we turned it on, it smoked the whole place. The floors were dirty, sandy still. The furniture is dirty and stained. I spent more time cleaning this disgusting property than enjoying time with my family. What’s the purpose of paying a cleaning fee if they are going to do such a horrible job with the basic cleaning??
The refrigerator hardly kept drinks cold.
The photos make this place look spacious but in reality, it’s very small for 12 people. Not enough seating for everyone to be together.
Then the closets are not useful. Master closet is full of dirty lips, vacuum and bunch of random stuff. The bunk bed room closet, is full of extra blankets, unable to put anything away.
The “short” walk to beach is not short. And then if you are planning to set up a tent on beach, you only have a very small designated area due to private beach for condos.
I will never rent from this neighborhood again. I do not recommend it. If you are looking for quiet and relaxing, this neighborhood is not it.
The only good thing about this trip was that the beach water was super clear and even though we had overcast, it did not rain on us.

Beach Ya To It = Amazing!!!
I do not have enough great things to say about this property - It was absolutely amazing! The pictures do not do the property justice, it is even better in person! My husband and I spent the week here with our 2 children and both of our parents and the house was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for all of us to have our privacy and feel relaxed. The bunk room with the full beds was perfect for our children (and then some). Our children loved having the extra couch upstairs with a TV for their "own living area." The stand-alone ice maker in the kitchen was a great bonus for filling up coolers before heading to the beach. The pool area and neighborhood community was super nice and everyone was very friendly. It was a short, flat stroll to the beach with nice scenery along the way. Thank you for a great trip and for making everything so simple and amazing for us!

We loved our rental. The house was beautiful. The kitchen was very well stocked. We especially loved the under the counter ice maker! The kids loved the Lagoon style pool. The staff at the pool were mostly friendly. Overall the neighborhood was a little crowded for our liking, but we had a great time.

This house is beautifully decorated and very spacious. We had plenty of comfy beds and bathrooms to accommodate more than our two families. Perfect location only a mile away from Crab Trap and across the street from Destin commons. Cheryl was an excellent host and quick to respond . I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable and beautiful beach rental. We will definitely be back!!

Some improvements regarding the neighborhood would we be finding the pool to be extremely warm and the WiFi and cellular services very weak? That can be fixed. But we were there for the ocean and loved it!

Very cute place
We walked to the beach everyday and left one car at the public parking for the heavy coolers and chairs - were always able to find a spot - we loved having the separate ice maker! Very cute neighborhood and house was very clean and decorated so nice /could have used a frying pan but most of kitchen was fully stocked / also the ice maker had notification to change filter / we made use of the wagon everyday! Thanks for a nice stay!

Wonderful property that the whole family enjoyed!
We had 6 adults and 2 kids in our group and loved staying at Beach Ya To It. The home was very nicely appointed with newer appliances and decor, plenty of seating, and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the supplied pack n play and under-counter high chair came in handy.
The amazing community pool is only a few minute walk away. We never had any trouble finding several open chairs together, however we only visited during the week. The beach access is about 2 blocks away, easily walkable for some, for others, there's a larger public beach (James Lee Park Beach) just a few minutes east that has a large parking lot if nearby street parking is full. I wish we had been able to stay longer to make more use of the provided beach chairs, cooler, and wagon!
The community contains quite a few rental homes all packed together, as such you're at the mercy of who your neighbors are as to how loud or quiet the area will be at any given time. We stayed from a Sunday to Thursday and had no problems at all. We had a great time and hope to return here some day soon!

Fantastic home, neighborhood not so much
I will start with the positives. First of all, the home is fantastic, it is decorated beautifully, well maintained and appointed with everything you need. Cheryl was highly communicative and available for any issues. The location is good as it relates to shopping/restaurants, but a bit of a jaunt to the beach, especially if you have small children. I recommend (if you can) to leave between 9:30 & 10 and drive to the public beach/parking near the Crab Trap, it’s much easier than walking. Now for the negatives. For us the neighborhood is just too busy. The houses are very close together (think The Truman Show). It is quite noisy until late and this home is right on the corner of a lot of foot traffic heading to the beach. We also had to deal with a HUGE party (think big time college Spring Break) that went until 2am on the night of our arrival. It was awful, so I contacted Cheryl. I am not exactly sure what she did, but it seemed to work, as there were no more late night shenanigans (at least after 11). During peak times, such as Spring Break, the pool was completely overcrowded. You could not find a chair to sit in and the pool itself had to have been near capacity. The clientele of the neighborhood was also a bit rough in some cases. To sum up, this is a wonderful property with a great property manager, close to beaches/shopping/restaurants, but for us the negatives of the neighborhood outweigh this too much. We would definitely rent from Cheryl again, but it absolutely will not be in The Villages of Crystal Beach.

Fantastic all around! Location, atmosphere, pool. We will be back!!
We were very pleased with this location. The house was on the corner of the street and just a quick walk to the pool. The home was immaculate and very welcoming! We enjoyed getting to cook and just stay in a few nights. The beach was not far at all. We walked to the beach a few times, but also drove since there were convenient places to park. The community pool was huge and just a quick walk from the home.
I can't say enough great things about this house. We were beyond pleased and are already planning our 2018 vacation to Beach Ya To It!
