Surrounded by rolling hills and endless views, this home is the perfect location for family gatherings, special occasions and for those looking to immerse themselves in peace and tranquillity.

The Space:
Brecon Barn boasts 3 generously-sized bedrooms – 1 super-king-size with a balcony and en suite, and two doubles with a Jack and Jill shower room – as well as annex that can sleep an additional 4 guests.

Find yourself totally enchanted by this beautifully remote barn conversion in the Brecon Beacons. From crumbling castle ruins to waterfall-splashed valleys, heather-cloaked hillsides to untouched mountain plateaus and some of the most forget-me-not views anywhere in the UK, this pocket of paradise near Sennybridge really is an unforgettable escape.

With an aga-equipped kitchen to impress the chefs, an open-plan layout for some magical family time, terraces, balconies, enclosed gardens and a hot tub that’s perfect for popping bottles beneath the stars, this is sure to be an escape that you’ll never forget.

Please note that the lead guest needs to be 21 years of age.

The Neighborhood:
Hiding on the northern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you only need to lace up, step outside and pick a direction to experience a soul-stirring stroll with the finest scenery in South Wales. High mountain plateaus of grass and heather, glacier-scoured hollows, waterfall-splashed valleys, enchanted woodland walks and a plethora of rural landscapes await you.

As far as hikes go, nothing can quite compare to a sunrise start as you take on the highest, most famous peak in South Wales, Pen y Fan, around a 30-minute drive away. With uninterrupted views over the Neuadd Valley and the reservoirs near Merthyr Tydfil, this is a mountain worth climbing during your stay.

Just 15-minutes southwest of Brecon sits Dan yr Ogof, a 17-kilometre long cave system where stalactites and stalagmites cling to the rock and atmospheric lighting adds to the ethereal experience.

Not far away is Cantref Riding Centre, the only place licenced to take Pony Treks up on to the main peaks of the Brecon Beacons where you can soak up the spectacular views of the Brecon Beacons National Park from the unique vantage point in the saddle.

Whether you want to earn your pub lunch with a three-mile hike over the hills or you’d prefer a lazy stroll through Sennybridge, you have a choice of charming pubs dotted around you in almost every direction. Sennybridge is only a 10-minute drive away, but there is another pub just a 20-minute walk from the barn.

Stay was wonderful and we were very pleased with the presentation of the property and were not disappointed. There were a couple of fixtures which need attention, and would have liked the hot tub to have had a constant bubble setting, but other than that had a wonderful stay. We were very impressed by the letting agents communication and efficient reply to our queries.

Ive made a complaint as we wasnt giving the key code for key boxes. We had to make 2 long calls which was difficult with communication and poor signal. We was waiting outside the house in the rain with also the lady i hired to bring balloon arch. The fridge was faulty and our meat for Sunday lunch we had to throw away. The high was very dirty with dried on food. There was rubbish over flowing outside where the bin was. We had to walk down the lane to get the empty bins. The windows was covered in dirt and cob webs. The oven didnt work kept turning off. The ice dispenser was not working. The hot tub was discussing with grim around the edges. The bench out the back was burnt the bbq was dirty. There was a white van parked outside with a flat tyre which isnt a good look when you arrive. Some of the slabs outside was loose and a member of my family went flying when leaving to go to the annex. The Argon Oven was filthy dirty the seals on the back door are hanging off.Rubbush all around the gounds of the house including cigarette ends and cans. To be honest when i booked this place i was amazed at the pictures and the grounds hense the reason i book it. The pictures was nothing we had. I was so upset and to top it off our family Sunday lunch was ruined because the meat went off and we had to keep cooking in the annex as the oven wasnt working in the main house. I would like all this looked at the price we paid wasnt worth what happed

The title tells only a part of the story. We chose this property for a number of reasons: 1. Its Location - did not disappoint. The views throughout this area of Wales is stunning. 2. The Price Tag & a disclosed amount for Cleaning - this all pointed to luxury, as well as the descriptive text selling us this property. However, what greeted us was not luxury. Arriving at 6:30pm after a 9 hr drive we were so disheartened to find we needed to clean, clean, clean: the fridge freezer had hair of all types on most shelves & door shelves; old food deposits encrusted on shelves; some loose food stuff hanging around the edges; every chrome handle bearing smudgy hand prints (covid & other nasties lurking). So, with the relaxing holiday vibe destroyed, our poor kids ignored, & everyone's confidence in this place waning, we checked the beds & bathrooms: a dead moth residing between two pillows in one daughters room; a dusty dead bug on top of our head board; more hairs & a stain in 2 out of 3 beds; more smudgy hand marks on mirrored cabinets; stains (pink) in the bath. Nearly breaking an ankle on a loose slate step out front as I went for a break from the cleaning! First night! The cleanliness, that confidence I thought I was buying, confident that all chance of encountering a strangers bodily fluids & sticky fingers would be highly unlikely to impossible, or confident that we wouldn’t be walking into a minefield of all manner of viruses or germs. Totally blown 3. A Hot Tub under the stars - is quite rightly advertised as a piece of luxury, &, it would have been except when we finally got around to lifting the lid early on the 1st morning (since 1st nt spent cleaning, no time for drinks & a hot tub under the stars!) we saw instantly far too many hairs & dead bugs floating around, hairs stuck to the sides, grit & mud foot prints on the base & the seats, we were enormously disappointed. A maintenance man happened to be there that 1st morning to replace an outdoor light bulb. We'd since discovered more bulbs out whilst trying to discuss those he checked out the hot tub - an error code meant it hadn't warmed up. He told us dead bugs in hot tubs is normal (it's really not) but he did agree hair was not acceptable. We were refunded what we'd paid for the Hot Tub but I'd have preferred it cleaned & error code sorted so we could have at least one if not two nights use.
