Beautiful house. Great family room and kitchen for friends and family togather. Large windows make the home very bright with beautiful views of the water. Easy access to get to beach without having to go over dunes
Property manager very responsive. Propane grill damaged during Hurricane. When we arrived we needed a replacement and they had it to us same day so we could use for dinner. Will stay again next year

We had a wonderful time at the Gulf goddess. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which is so nice! The house truly is just steps from the beach. The home was clean and beautifully decorated with plenty of space for a large family. One thing to note is that there is no paved driveway/parking area so you are parking directly on sand. Not a problem just good to know. If you’re looking for a great short term rental, We would definitely recommend this home.

We stayed here for New Year’s & had the best time. The Gulf Goddess had the perfect amount of space for all of us. We loved walking in to the sounds of music and felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Watching the fireworks from the deck was a real treat!
Definitely recommend this spot to others!

This trip was a friendship reunion of 11 women. The significance of this trip is that one friend has a terminal illness and we wanted to create a memorable weekend with all of us together. The house is beautiful, the location is breathtaking however there were some disappointments. The house has some unique features including 5 bedrooms each with an accompanying bathroom. The bunk room has queen size bottom bunks. The disappointments included living room rug is filthy and the couch needs to be steam cleaned as it had an odor. When we arrived it was cold and we had issues with the thermostat. The fireplace did not work and this was a feature that sealed the deal of our booking. The ice maker did not work. When maintenance came out he could not fix either. There was a broken arm on one of the chairs in the living room. Also there was a screw sticking out of the master bed that cut my friend’s leg as she tried to plug in her phone charger. This house has the potential to be considered luxury, however as it was presented it was anything but luxury.

I was sent an email to ask how our stay was going on day 1 and the only options were thumbs up or down. I put thumbs down because the listing stated there would be a bbq. So we planned to bbq on our first night. When I put thumbs down it stated they would reach out to me. They never called so since I never got the opportunity to share directly, I will review it here. The bbq was disgusting. And there was no method to clean it available in the house so we had to go to the store to get things to clean it. If you advertise a bbq it’s best to make sure it’s clean for your guests. Also, no pack n play for the 1 year old in our party who came in from out of town. Very spacious place and we enjoyed hanging out on the deck and overall had a great time, but these two things definitely impacted us negatively.

Overall a great rental. House is as close to the beach as you can get, which is amazing. Location is quiet, as you are about 25min away from the heart of Galveston. House needs some TLC for only being 4yrs old. Broken microwave, cracked window, tear in screen, kitchen cabinets that don’t align/close properly, patio door needs adjustment, bottom dishwasher rack is a bad fit replacement, three toilets in the house had flushing or filling issues, the parking below is a hassle as you have to navigate uneven land/dirt/pavers, and the water pressure is very low in the entire home. These are mostly minor issues that can be fixed to create a true 5 star experience. We had a great time and would return the the Gulf Goddess property.

I loved this house. A really big porch with lots of outside furniture to sit on was perfect for our group of 9. The decor in the house was absolutely lovely and the beds were so comfy! The only thing I would suggest is the owners pave the area under the house as it rained in the night and was pretty wet and messy the next day.

Loved the house. Really no complaints outside of it is 30 minutes away from Galveston so I wouldn't stay here if you plan to go to the city a lot. But if you are looking for a great house on the beach, you have found a great choice!

Our cup was half full
We chose the Gulf Goddess because our group was a combined four families and the need for four Master Bedrooms, room for the kids and a beachfront location limited out choices. Our first impression upon arrival at the Gulf Goddess was that the parking/storage area underneath the home was sand. It had a small outdoor shower and rusting gas grill which we couldn't get to work. There was no place to store they typical beach items like chairs, canopies, fishing equipment, floats, etc. So we just had to dump it all in the sand and hope that it would be safe and not blow away or be stolen. While the homes behind ours used the pathway under the home as a public route to the beach, none of our stuff was molested during our stay. It just stayed wet and sandy for the week which was annoying. There is no elevator, which would have been nice for the grandparents. The outdoor covered deck overlooking the beach was marvelous and spacious, but the wicker couch provided was damaged and sagging. There were enough other chairs to make do for our group. The four Master suites were very comfortable for the adults and the bunk room served for the kids. There is a small living area for kids upstairs to hang out and decent seating for the adults in the main living room. The kitchen and island were on the small side and having more than 2 people cooking was a challenge. Wifi was weak and we had multiple people who needed access for work, so it was not ideal but we managed. Management advised us to bring our own propane tank for the outdoor grill under the home. We did, but whoever had been there before us left a full tank and we couldn't get it to work. Plus the grill was rusted and unclean, and we couldn't get it to work - so that was a bust. There is parking enough for 4-5 cars on site, but it's tight. Offsite parking is available for overflow not too far away. There is a convenience store across the road, which is either a long walk or very short golf cart drive away which we used every day for ice and such. We enjoyed our week together and the home was very nice and comfortable once you get inside. Access to the beach was right there, so no golf cart was needed. Other than the few negative items mentioned, we thoroughly enjoyed our week and would recommend the home for a multi couple, multi family retreat. If those few items are addressed, it would go from a 4 to a 5 star rental.

Perfect
The large porch overlooking the beach was perfect to watch grandkids playing without having to leave the house. Even the rinse stations for little and big feet were perfect.

Great for adults/families
My family stayed here for a week, all but 1 are over 30 and it was the perfect house and location to just chill for the week. It's in a smaller part of galveston so it was calm and not alot of people in the area. The house was perfect with all the large beds and plenty of room around the house for everyone to be comfortable either together or spread out. We actually liked the couches so much we googled them! The only thing we wished it had was a lift to bring up all the groceries and luggage so we weren't exhausted the first night. Also the grill under the house appears to have seen a few floods so we didnt touch it but the kitchen was nice enough we had no issue using the oven instead.

A great vacation
This is a wonderful house; very close to the beach and lots of room for every age range. We had to try really hard to find anything that was negative, and the only thing that we could find was the dryer door. It opens in the wrong direction. Otherwise, a perfect place. We'll be back.

Beautiful home with an AMAZING deck!
We really enjoyed our stay! The home was newly built and beautiful! We enjoyed the deck the most... very spacious with tons of seating. The home was farther down the beach than we normally go, but there was a convenience store just across the street which was extremely convenient.
