Ruime kamer met bank en 2 goede stoelen. Bedden lagen erg goed. Personeel zeer gastvrij.

Sehr nettes Personal.

It was a short walk from the station. Quite a selection for breakfast. Maria was friendly and pleasant even with me not speaking German.

Fine
Arrived got key it broke in the lock of the door. Rang numbers, emailed no one came for six hours and blamed me for breaking their key. No staff. When guy came he was fine apologetic and helpful. I believe the owner was the rude one, blaming staffing difficulties on covid.

Yound lady serving us at breakfast. Breakfast it self was excellent. Rooms were comfortable and clean
We missed the resturant and bar being open. Staff sickness and shortage. We had to ask for the Tourist card which should have been given to us when we arrived.

While the service and facilities were poor and the manager was extremely rude, the beautiful location by the river and next to our wedding venue, did help make up for this.
The "manager" seemed incapable of managing anything other than being impolite. There was also a problem with the ongoing construction and the lack of service at a hotel that wasn't cheap.
The alarm bells rang when we arrived and saw a washing machine outside and building material scattered all around the reception area. There was a lot of drilling going on but, apart from the builders, no one to be seen. I wondered if there had been an emergency, because at €135 a night, I would have expected the hotel to have at least one person around in the afternoon. We picked up our keys from a key box.
Then some disappointment. The room in the picture in our booking had a balcony, and we were given a room without one. It was misleading to say the least. Not the end of the world but disappointing as we had chosen this place to be special for our wedding. We called the contact number. When the manager finally did arrive, he refused to even attempt to address any of our complaints (we might have been happy with an apology and a reduction). Instead, he told us — very rudely— that we could cancel if we wanted to and that there were other hotels.
There were so many basic things missing from the rooms. There was no bin, no coat hangers, no bathroom mat — and no way to lock the door from the inside (we secured it using a chair). There was tea and coffee, but no cups or kettle. Were we expected to bring our own? We might have said something, but by this time the manager had already scarpered.
It's a new business, which maybe explains the construction. The building work also could explain why the smoke alarm in our room was covered up (the label said it should be removed when work was complete).
On the day of checkout, the "manager" also managed to be rude to my new brother-in-law who had inquired about the breakfast options (his own hotel couldn't provide one). He and my mother-in-law had to go elsewhere, which really upset my wife.

The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming; the room was very spacious and the view from our room was gorgeous and hypnotizing (watching the ferry go back and forth ;-) The location is excellent for walking along the river and, as a little bonus, they sell homemade dog treats.
