It was cheap.
The hostel is located behind a live music venue; great if you love Peruvian music, not great if you like sleep.
The breakfast was also very basic and the common areas were spartan.

The ladies running the hotel are very sweet with everyone. They are always willing to help. I stayed in Tiyana for 10 days and it was a great stay ! The location is really good.

Great location. My room was warm and bedding extra warm. Cusco is cold, so this is excellent. The staff was so friendly as well.
Door locks need a little tightening.

Everything
We reserved 4 days and stayed for more than 2 weeks. The staff was amazing, caring for everything, they called the restaurant to order food for us, helped with taxis, information and attractions and gave us coca tea every morning. The location is great
Kitchen
There's a restaurant near by which has loud music at night, but its not the hostels problem.

Staff were over the top! Super friendly and flexible. I was able to storage my stuff while doing the Inca trail. Clean and good location.
Rooms were super cold but you had lots of blankets! A bit difficult to find, poor kitchen.

Great place with amazing people, placed in the town center of Cusco close to the San Pedro market and 3blocks away from plaza de Armas, hard to find better. Definitely worth to be there.

great location, comfy beds and clean facilities
Music from the restaurant next door finishes very late and starts very early in the morning. Curtains didn’t hold out any light. and check out is too early

Tiyana House is near the Plaza de Armas in Cusco- very central. Most things are in easy walking distance. The owners were very helpful, kept our luggage while we were on a 2 day trip to Machu Picchu, and also stored it on the day of our departure, so we could spend a few more hours in town. The rooms are simple, but staying in a hostel is not why you go to Cusco, so no problem there.

Lovely women running the place, would shout my name happily everytime I entered the place. Really helpful as well! Thanks for the warm stay! Really close to the center and VERY cheap for how big the rooms are. Big warm blankets as well.
Loud restaurant and showers are a bit cramped unfortunately. Didn't stop me from sleeping like a guinea pig on the grill.

sweet and helpful hosts, comfortable beds with warm blankets, hot water anytime, good wifi, unbeatable value
a bit hard to find, because it is located behind a culture club

guesthouse in the center of cusco run by a very welcoming and friendly family, spotlessly clean sanitary rooms with hot water anytime, low room rates. earlier check-in possible, if the room is free, free luggage storage after checkout
there is music in the restaurant next door until 10pm

I arrived very early morning and even my bed wasn't ready, they let me rest in other room. Also after checkout the store my bag for 2 days.
Unfortunately is very noisy from nearby restaurant with live music until late night.

Super friendly staff
Location is prefect
Super nice bed
Very noisy. No soundproof room at all. You wake up everytime at night.
Rooms are clean on first sight. But hairs of previous guests everywhere. Needs improvement

Friendly staff and good location in the city.
It was next to a restaurant with music so it was very noisy when they were playing.

Love the place, everybody is extremely nice, helpful and it really makes you feel at home.
Value for the money is also incredibly great, rooms are spacious, with smart-positioned plugs and very warm blankets.
Definitely coming back next time!
Bathroom outside the room is a bit annoying, especially at night, not a deal-breaker

The owner is always there and looks after every guest. She is really nice and makes you feel like home. The hostel is in a really good location. Considering the price I will always go back and stay there (party hostels and back packers hostels are over valued)

The staff were friendly. One man would always fill my hot water bottle up at night time before I went to bed. The location is super convenient. The rooms were clean and very big. I didn't have breakfast (nor was offered it), so I don't know how that is. The same man also let me leave my suitcase there for a few days when I went to Macchu Picchu.
It was cold (but most places I stayed were...) and I never had a hot shower the whole time I was there.
But the main issue was that it was incredibly noisy, any time of day or night. One of the noisiest places I've ever stayed in my life. The adjacent restaurant plays very loud live music every night of the week, and even when the band is not playing, they play music through the same speakers out in the courtyard at always an extremely high decibel. As well you hear the kitchen staff from early in the morning, and there were several parties happening nearby over the days I was there, so honestly there was never a single moment of quiet in that place. It's not the fault of the hostel, but because of their proximity and sharing location to that restaurant, it is always very, very loud! Trust me, you will get very sick of that band very quick.

Very cozy place with excellent staff. We were welcome with a very on time muña Tea, excellent for altitude and good digestion. The rooms were impeccable with heaters and a lot of blankets, it gets cold at night. Kathy was always anticipating our needs. Location is great, two blocks to the Main Square or "Plaza de Armas" and two blocks to San Pedro local Market and Orion Supermarket, where you can get all your daily supply to a fair price. We are very grateful.
Not a big deal, but to get to the room you have to go through a restaurant. However the rooms are quiet, it looks that the two feet walls made out of sun dried bricks insulate all the noise. The water heaters are a little tricky, you have to keep the flow very low to get really hot water. Not at deal breaker at all, because once you get it, you will never stop getting hot water.

Very spacious and comfortable room. The hosts are super friendly, but speak little English.
7.0
- super friendly owners, heater in the room
- warm bedding, tasty breakfast served into your room
- great location, shared kitchen
- the staff offered us free tea when we arrived
- considering its a hostel I would recommend it
- Hotel is a little hard to find (no sign on the street)
- Noisy restaurant very close by (there was a live band the night we stayed - it would be relatively quiet without the band playing though)
- Poor quality towels (did not soak up the water at all)
- Weird smell in the bathroom every time we run the water
- Hot water in the shower was not stable, it was automatically turning off
- Simple breakfast

The staff is exceptionally friendly and treats their guests like family! Among the best hotels which I have ever stayed at in terms of hospitality. Additionally, the location is unbeatable right in the heart of downtown Cusco. I would definitely come back in the future!

Extremely friendly and caring hosts, went out of their way to make my stay comfortable . The room was super clean, conveniently located to the centro.
Nothing in particular, maybe a softer bed (completely based on my preference)
