About this house rental

The Barefoot Pelican is a gorgeous 3 story home with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms. Wraparound porches, balconies, and double glass French doors are just a few of the many charms this coastal home has to offer. The first floor features an open concept kitchen, dining, and living area with 10 foot ceilings, bamboo flooring, granite countertops, and professional stainless steel appliances in the fully stocked kitchen. On the second floor you will find the master bedroom with a king bed and an amazing attached bath featuring a large walk-in slate shower and real antler hardware. Across the hall is a second bedroom with a queen bed and attached bath. Down the hall is the third bedroom with two twin bunkbeds (4 beds) for the kiddos to enjoy and a third bathroom. On the third floor is a bonus room with a twin over twin trundle bed. There is a mini fridge and a sink along with balcony access and water views from here.
Relax on the attached screened in porch and enjoy the coastal breezes while the kids play in the yard. Grill the days catch on the covered patio. There is room for your boat trailer as well. Are you ready to make new memories with your family and friends? Come visit The Barefoot Pelican!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Easy Check in - plenty of room for the entire group. Lovely location near plenty of eating establishments. Would stay there again. A little far from the American Bank Arena where our event was held but still good.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great experience staying here for a most recent stay in Rockport. There is plenty of space and the furniture and beds are very comfortable. I do wish there were some lamps in the living space and a hand towel in the 1/2 bath, but these were preferences, not must haves. It is very conveniently located close to the beach and the main strip. We will stay here again!

What a beautiful place! Loved the house and the master bed was SO comfortable! We had a couple of very small inconveniences (cigarette butts left around the outside of the property, some lights burned out) that I sent to the property manager via email and she wrote me back within the hour. No big deal at all. Totally forgot to sign the guest book, kinda sad about that. We had family that lives in Rockport come visit every day and we had plenty of seating and were able to use the kitchen easily. We are in Rockport at least a few times a year due to having land out there and this has been our favorite place we have stayed yet. Close to everything you need/want. Beach is always fun, but man, one day of that heat was enough! July 4th fireworks are always out of this world…10/10!!! The one and only tiny complaint we had of the house is that it could definitely use a deep clean- the baseboards, mirrors, tile in the bathrooms, wipe down the inside of the kitchen cabinets and drawers- just a basic deep cleaning!

The pictures don’t do this house justice! It’s absolutely breathtaking. We spent majority of our time outside on the back patio. Loved that we had the screened in porch so we weren’t getting eaten by mosquitoes & bugs! The house is also located right down the road from the shopping strip. Definitely will book again! Had an amazing time.

Very nice home, was clean. Short driving distance to shops/restaurants. A great town to visit if you want to go fishing. Not a lot to do for kids other than fish!

The house was beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay. Loved the porch (it has a couple wasp nests that need to be treated). Had my coffee every morning on the porch and enjoyed every moment. I wish there was instruction or labels on the outlets that indicated electronic blinds on the large bedroom windows. Our first nights sleep would have been better. I didn’t want to wake with the sunrise on vacation. The other bummer was the BBQ grill. It was shown on the pictures of the property, however it’s unusable. It’s so dirty and there’s no grill supplies. We planned a bbq for one of our nights and those plans fell through. Seriously, other then those two minor things, I highly recommend this property.

Property was as described. Plenty of room for 4 active boys. Loved that they had outdoor space to play (we brought water guns). They loved the third floor loft. Very minimum traffic on road in front of house, so it was very quiet, yet convenient to Rockport Beach, downtown Rockport, groceries, etc. Beds were comfortable.

The twin bedroom needs either a blackout or a heavy curtain in the window because the sun rises straight in your face an it is really annoying.
