Great beach house! So charming and cozy. 5 blocks from town and a 5-minute walk to the beach, can't beat that! The house was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Watched old movies and even played a few board games. You can tell this house has many memories from the owners and we just made our own :) Definitely will be back!

Sweet home with a ton of character. We had everything we needed here including kitchen necessities, kids toys, games, a fenced yard and more. This house is also in a prime location. It is only about a 5 minute walk from the beach, bike paths, boardwalk, and entire downtown area. We will definitely be back!

I rented this home because I think historic homes are amazing and it did not disappoint. Also, it is in a great location, blocks from the beach and the heart of Longview. I would say that the house could be cleaner and needs some tlc, but we really enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

Charming cozy cottage. Felt like staying at grandma's, with the antique furniture and cozy seating and soft beds. It was so nice to sit by the fireplace and warm up after playing on the beach which was only an easy 5 min walk away.

House was clean and warm would be nice to have a light in the fridge. And a oven.

Lots of dust collecting items hung in bedrooms. Food and hair balls under beds. Surfaces dirty. Good location! Fence needs fixed for being dog friendly.

Old but quaint

As I said to the Vacasa hosting company, the place should vome with more clarity about limitations. I do understand older properties, truly.
But there are things about this house that would be very limiting for the elderly or people with very young children, especially the attic bedroom which is,accessed by a steep, narrow staircase which is more like a ladder.
Cute as it is, its definitely more quirky than it appears in the photos and descriotion.

Cozy vintage house in quiet neighborhood, close to town. Gas fireplace with clear instructions and comfy clean beds. The fixtures are dated so don’t expect this place to be sparkly like a hotel. It was great for what we needed, clean beds and a little kitchen. Microwave shorts out power strip, so you gotta unplug something else. Also there were a bunch of houseflies in all the rooms when we arrived, but they seemed to die off throughout our stay. Lots of kitchen utensils, games, vhs tapes!

Though I would say it’s more old than historic, it was a great value. It was spacious and had plenty of beds for everyone to sleep comfortably. It’s just a couple of blocks to town and the beach so the location was excellent!

Older property that efforts have been made to update. A few minor issues that I assume will be addressed. Close to town and beach.

Great time. Perfect walk to town and the beach. The only issue was that the stairs going to the second story was hard for us old gals.

Family of 5 adults. The house was very quaint and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and the short walk to the beach was a bonus.

Cute, small, old house very close to downtown AND the beach/walking path. Fenced yard brings peace of mind with our pup. House had anything you may need, I especially liked the access to washer/dryer. No dishwasher or bathroom fan, but to be expected for this age of home. The upstairs access is very sketchy, definitely younger folks would be able to handle the ladder stair (think, pre teen/teen) but way more sleeping access. Beds were not very comfortable but everything seemed clean and orderly. Lots of personal items in the home so that also made the space feel smaller. However lots of games and a full kitchen.

Also, the overhead light in one bedroom stopped working.

Place was clean and dishes etc well stocked. Keep in mind, the place is old not new so it has the usual electrical outlets etc that don't work or plug has to be just right to work. This di6bother us as we have lived in some a lot worse! Beds were comfy, plenty of pillows and blankets. The upstairs will be tricky for older people as they are steep ladder type. There is a half bath upstairs so no need to come down at night really, which is great. We enjoyed our stay!

Once upon a nightmare....Steps into house dangerous for my 70 year old Mom and her husband...Slippery, tiny bricks. Very musty smelling upon entry to house. Rooms much smaller than anticipated. Would NOT recommend more than 4 adults to rent this house. No stairs to upper floor beds. Steep ladder is access to second floor. Upstairs sink in bathroom did not work. Faucets would not turn on. Floor in upstairs bathroom is carpet and it was soaking wet and smelly. I dry heaved upon opening door to upstairs bathroom. One bed upstairs is on the floor. One bed upstairs is in a tiny alcove with stuffy smell and gross carpet. The downstairs bedrooms were decorated in a nostalgic and cute way but everything felt shabby and not quite up to minimal standards for a vacation rental. Microwave didn't work properly. Toaster was broken. Kitchen sink coated in paint or some strange, dirty textured compound. No dishwasher. The only shower didn't work. I could go on about this rental but I am basically asking that you look elsewhere. I hated this experience. I had booked for 3 nights but left after 2. Would have left immediately but had a wedding to attend and couldn't find other accommodations. Worst experience I have ever had with a vacation rental. Just as an fyi...I have rented homes on the east coast and throughout the NW.

All of us loved the whole house. Upstairs great for teens. Location great. Didn't need a car most of the time. Very comfortable and "beachy".

While certainly cozy, this cottage was historic, and needs to be updated and dusted. The house was very dusty, which gave a “musty” smell. The price per night simply did not match. The ceiling is bowing in the living room and needs repair, which is concerning when anyone is upstairs. The price point just did not match the age and condition of the home.
Pro were: proximity to the beach and downtown Long Beach, beds were comfy, board games provided.

Great location, just a few blocks away from the main areas. House has old/historic feel but well kept with good character. Would stay here again.

My family of 6 plus a dog enjoyed our stay at the house. It felt like we were staying at a family member’s house. The house was in a perfect location for walking to the beach. We even encountered deer as we walked to and from the beach. The kids had their own space upstairs. My wife wanted an intimate feel in a house, and this house delivered that (plus the bonus of the kids having a place to resort to). We could feel the love of family here, and we will be looking to return to that next year! Thank you for everything!!

We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time doing a little bit of everything! Beach, shopping, great clam chowder, and love the activities in town for the kids, We definitely will come back. Thanks Long Beach!

Awesome getaway!
Great location in downtown, I was able to take morning walks to the beach. Home is thoughtfully decorated and has comfy areas to read a book or play board games with the family. Look forward to staying here again!

Not good
Had to leave at 10 am on Sunday morning plus they expect you to clean sheets and vacuum plus put sheets back in beds. So would have had to get up at 7 to clean the place Not what I would call a vacation

Cozy Beach House
This place is exactly what we were looking for in a beach house. The beach is truly within walking distance, the house itself is cozy and has just the right amount of amenities to have a relaxing, yet fun time. There are tons of board/card games available to play, the kitchen is well stocked with the necessities and everything worked as needed. The BBQ out back was nice to make a meal on when the weather allowed. This place rocks!
