My family and I have been coming to Casa de Campo for over 15 years and have never had any issue whatsoever. This was a complete disaster from the very beginning to the end. We encountered countless issues and outright lies and misrepresentations. The owner Irma Lopez and her daughter Jessica in writing told us we were guests of theirs and that the resort fee for each person was included. When we got to the check in, they didn't even have all of us registered and after spending an hour at the check in desk we had to spend $1,500 unnecessarily. We were told that two of the rooms had queen size beds which was critical to us taking the place when in fact they were double beds and only one had a queen making it very uncomfortable for my son and his wife to sleep. We were told that the housekeeper was bilingual and neither she nor the house manager spoke a word of English. When we arrived they were cooking and preparing food for other people in other houses and left that food in the fridge telling us not to touch it. In addition, every day they made a very strong garlic meal for themselves and that smell permeated the whole house. They never offered to cook anything for us at all even though Irma said they would. In addition, the house was full of water bugs, grasshoppers, and lizards and we took photos of them because we couldn't believe it. The most important inconvenience which ruined our trip was the continuous lack of hot water along with a shortage of towels that we constantly asked for. We had my 2 year old granddaughter with us which they were aware of and it was very difficult to bathe her in a shower with cold water.
Irma when she actually did reach us continued to deny what she put in writing, tried to convince us that we were wrong on the size of the beds and that there was plenty of hot water. We could not sleep well, shower well, eat at the villa or have any peace or quiet. The final straw was on the day my son and daughter-in-law were leaving, she was locked out of the villa because unbeknownst to us they changed the lock number. She missed her appointment having to wait 1 hour outside before another lock combination was texted to her. We believe this was in retaliation for our complaints.
We understand that Irma has other houses in the area and we strongly suggest not staying at any of Irma Lopez's houses since she is absolutely a scam artist.

Very clean home and excellent host and staff

This home is newly renovated, fully air-conditioned and beautifully decorated and is exactly as the photos show. Well situated within the compound, it’s a 7 to 10 minute ride to the beach and marina. It’s impeccably clean and uncluttered with comfortable beds and seating throughout. The grounds are beautifully maintained as is the pool. The home comes with a four seat golf cart that, although slow, gets the job done. In addition to all this, the staff is professional and friendly and super accommodating. It was a pleasure staying in this home and will rent it again should we return to beautiful Casa de Campo.

New Years Family Trip
Great week at CDC and this home was just as advertised. Newly renovated, it was very well appointed, and perfect for our family of 7. Location is central and easy to get to everything. Walkable to the beach and pools if you want. Communication before, during and after with Pamela, the owner rep was great. She was always very responsive. The house staff was amazing, kind, attentive, and hard working, and cooked some awesome meals for us as needed. We were spoiled. Highly recommend. We would come back to this spot.

The property comes with a housekeeper who is also an amazing cook who was able to prepare most anything we wanted. We will definitely be returning. The owner was super sweet and checked in on us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our stay. I highly recommend this property if you are planning a trip to Casa De Campo.
