Calling all beach lovers & fun-seekers! The Lookout is your Jamaica Beach oasis. Less than a 2-minute drive to the beach, this 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom beach house is ready for you. Unwind on the shore, then cool off in our sparkling pool back home. Craving friendly competition? Challenge your crew to table tennis or foosball in our large game room - fun for all ages! Perfect for families, friends, or a solo escape, The Lookout offers everything for your unforgettable Jamaica Beach getaway!

Location: Jamaica Beach community of Galveston, Texas

Beach access: Less than a 2 minute drive from the Jamaica Beach access point. Cars and golf carts are allowed to park on the beach.

Private pool: New in-ground pool installed, waiting for pictures!

Community Amenities: Guests have access to the Jamaica Beach community pool (open Memorial Day thru Labor Day - $5 per person) and city park.

Rent BeachBox: Looking for beach gear for your Galveston getaway? We have you covered! Beach chairs and tents can be ready at the house upon your arrival. Message us for details and rates.

WIFI: Free high-speed WIFI is available throughout the home.

Cable: We provide Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own Amazon Prime, Netflix, or other streaming service apps as well.

Pet policy: Up to 3 pets are welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren't left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Please message us if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend!

Large Groups: We love hosting church groups and large family gatherings, however groups over the size of 16 guests must be approved prior to booking.

Parking: There is room for 4 cars in the driveway.

Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

Age Requirement: Guests must be 24+ to book.

The Lookout offers ample space for families or groups to spread out and relax. The expansive ground floor game room, complete with a comfy sectional sofa and a whopping three sets of full-over-queen bunk beds, is perfect for movie nights, board games, or friendly foosball tournaments.

Head upstairs to the open-concept living area on the second floor, where the inviting living room, complete with a Smart TV, seamlessly flows into the well-equipped kitchen with ample counter space for whipping up delicious meals. The large dining table ensures everyone can gather comfortably for shared meals and laughter. Two well-appointed bedrooms, each featuring a queen-sized bed and a full-over-full bunk bed, are conveniently located on this floor.

Ascend to the third floor to find a room with two full-sized sleeper sofas, ideal for additional guests. Another bedroom on this floor boasts a luxurious king-sized bed and a twin bunk bed, offering a tranquil space to unwind. Step out onto the third-floor balcony and take in the views, or relax and soak up the sun on the spacious second-floor deck. After a day of fun at the beach, take a refreshing dip in the sparkling pool in the backyard – the perfect way to end a perfect beach day!

- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- We do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- The homeowner's routine pool maintenance cannot be rescheduled and is required for the health and safety of our guests. They will not need to access the home but will access the yard.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Great house and wonderful yard and pool. We are not real beach lovers so the pool was perfect. The first floor game/bedroom would have been perfect except that the only way to access it was an outdoor stairway that wasn’t mentioned in the description. The bathroom floor was in terrible shape with boards giving way. .,they have a major roach presence especially in the game room. Ice maker didn’t work, no can opener or hot mats in kitchen. Pool was great but lots of cleaning and upgrades need to be made

My family enjoyed the pool and gameroom. The house the clean, however, could use some TLC and decor. The kitchen needs updated cookware and appliances as it's not equipped to handle feeding 20 individuals.

Me and my family truly enjoyed this getaway. The house was spacious and had adequate towels. The kitchen did not have enough pots, pans, or utensils. This made it hard to cook. Also it has roaches in the kitchen real bad, especially at night. The fridge in the kitchen did not cool properly. Luckily there was another fridge in the game room. The pool was great! The neighborhood was quiet and super close to the beach. The mosquitoes were horrible! This was the worse part of the trip. Despite the overall cleanliness of the house and the pest problem we had a great stay.

The house has a lot of beds to accommodate families and the kids. It’s well Located on west beach and nice access to drive on beach that is well maintained and is mostly families. The house itself has a wonderful pool, but was a bit cloudy the entire time we were there even though they indicated the pool people had come by. The house itself is a bit worn out and the floor and bathrooms need updating. The pictures online made it look brand new. In addition, the kitchen wasn’t well stocked with mixing bowls and utensils needed for cooking. Normally with VRBO, we get our access instructions 24 hours in advance. Then they said by 3pm, and I never received an email. They finally texted the instructions to me.We enjoyed ourselves regardless.

Recent bad weather turned the beach water brown and choppy so we didn’t enjoy the beach as much as we had planned. The saving element of the trip was the pool which we all enjoyed. We had a great time sightseeing, shopping at the outlet mall 45 minutes away, mini golf, pizza, shaved ice, and hanging out. There were a few hiccups to the house: the fridge didn’t work when we arrived (the evaporator coils had gotten clogged I believe), but communication was great and they sent a repairman the next morning to fix it and it worked the rest of the trip. The house itself is beautiful. The game room downstairs is huge and the rooms upstairs are comfortable. I slept very well in the master bedroom. The skeeters were terrible but that’s Texas in June. I would definitely recommend the house for a midsize group of 16-20. Would stay here again for sure.

We had a blast staying at this location. The downstairs game area is a real bonus!!!! The beds are comfortable and the house is spacious. Communication from the management company/owner was prompt and they quickly resolved an issue we had with the internet. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed this investment property home since it had a small pool/hot tub on the property and was close to the beach. However, I was extremely disappointed in the overall management of maintenance and felt a little unsafe. The stairs and both decks were rotting, had loose or missing banister spokes, a split-wood step, outside lighting on stairs and driveway were burned out or maybe missing bulbs. No electricity to 2 electrical outlets on 2nd floor at the snack counter. In the kitchen, there was no peeler, oven mitts, or measuring spoons, the silverware drawer had been repaired but barely hanging together, breakfast table needs to be secured from wiggling around, and a screw sticking up from a broken lawn chair armrest was unsafe. Since we had several little ones, it was a concern to me. But overlooking that, it was enjoyed and appreciated.
