We had an amazing time in Santa Fe at casa Al reves. The house was enchanting, with lovely views. It was a short drive to the action in downtown Santa Fe but the location was private and peaceful. We loved this home and will definitely book it again when we come back to Santa Fe.

Home was lovely. Beds comfy and kitchen well appointed. However, furniture was uncomfortable with no cozy space to sit. The outside furniture was also lacking in comfort and there was no umbrella for outside table.
There was a hammock stand but no hammock.

This was a fabulous house for my family of five to get away to. We enjoyed the easy access to the Plaza, with a secluded and private feel. Great place that we would consider returning to!

Wife and kids loved the house so much they almost didn’t want to explore the city.

This property was so clean and extremely well thought out for all the luxuries of home. We will definitely be back to stay.

The views are great from this property and I am sure it would be pleasant in the warmer season. However, the heating system is not adequate for the Santa Fe winter. In the morning the downstairs was 58 degrees and our bedroom was 60. The property manager did try and help with a couple space heaters which blew fuses when plugged in.
Also, the kitchen was not outfitted with the quality of cooking equipment expected. Cheap nylon utensils, no kitchen scissors, very basic tools and a strange very small oven.
Decoration was done on a budget with ikea type furnishings. For instance the beds have utilitarian metal legs with no bed skirt that are a killer if you manage to hit with your foot. No real southwest charm in the interior decor.
Overall very disappointed with the heating situation and low budget quality of furnishings and kitchen equipment. All the art is the same throughout the house - photos of native Americans in cheap plastic frames. Looks like they were cut out of a book and put in ikea frames. The views are great but it felt overpriced and lacking the southwest charm. Overall not what you expect for a high priced stay.

We were in Santa Fe for a family gathering and enjoyed our time at Casa al Reves. The views are amazing here and we were treated to a fresh snowfall which was icing on the cake. Our family enjoyed an evening around the fire pit which was a trip highlight. The setting and layout of the home are terrific.
We did have an issue with heat, but Jeff was very responsive and delivered 2 space heaters to take the chill off.
The home itself is decorated somewhat sparely with an ikea vibe, so if you are looking for the full on southwest charm this may not be the house for you.

(1) The heating system was unable to cope with temperatures in the high teens. The temperature in the main bedroom was 58 degrees most nights. The only time the house heated up to anything above 62 degrees was in the afternoon when sun streamed in.
(2) The so-called living room was an awkward and uncomfortable space between the front door and the downstairs bedrooms. We were a group of 5 people in the house for a week, and no one ever sat in that room. There was no comfortable place in the house to sit and talk and read. There is a lot of outdoor space, but that was of little use when the outside temperature was 17 degrees F.
(3) There were 3 1/2 bathrooms, but none were en-suite. To get to the bathroom that served the main bedroom upstairs, you had to walk dow a hall toward the kitchen, in full view of anyone in the kitchen, the dining area, or downstairs. Fine for a family, but no privacy for a group of friends.
(4) There was a large dressing room down the hall from the main upstairs bedroom, but no closet in the bedroom.
(5) The kitchen appears to have been designed by someone who doesn’t cook. When facing the range while cooking, there was no space on either side of the cook top to put anything such as serving plates, bowls, utensil, food, etc. There is a small convection oven, but it appeared to be too small to cook a large item, such as a turkey, big casserole, etc.
On the other hand, the house was well located….very close to the center of Santa Fe but also quite private with great views. But definitely a warm weather house…not a house to be in during the winter.

Amazing property!!
Casa al Reves was exactly what we were looking for! There are windows everywhere with fabulous views. Spending time on the patios in the mornings and evenings was a favorite activity. The house was spotless, and provided all needed amenities. The upstairs / downstairs layout of public spaces, bedrooms, and bathrooms meant that we all had room to spread out, and everyone had their own bathroom. We appreciated the list of suggested restaurants, and used it as a starting guide. We wholeheartedly recommend booking, and wish we could stay longer. See you next time!

Santa Fe retreat
This house worked out great for myself and siblings. Great location. Close to the plaza and still had seclusion.

Awesome property
This is a beautiful home with a great view of the mountains and is in a good location to see Old Santa Fe or make day trips to Bandolier and Taos. Well-appointed kitchen, although we didn’t cook. Beds were comfortable. There was plenty of room for our party of 7 to eat or relax together. Having three full baths was a plus. This home had everything we needed, including several tissues boxes around the house, soap and shampoo in the bathrooms, iron and ironing board, laundry baskets, and things we didn’t need this trip: high chair and stairway gate. The large-capacity washer and dryer were a big help with so much dirty laundry after our hikes.
We highly recommend this property!

Family Spring Break
Beautiful and well appointed Santa Fe getaway. Property is in an outstanding location to access all the best Santa Fe has to offer. Very convenient to downtown, local attractions, shopping & dining. More than enough room for a family of 7 with beautiful outdoor space. Property is like a home away from home. Will book again for future visits!
