The location was great although not where advertised. While the property (and most photos) was advertised as Il Portico Via Vittorio Emanuel 1, we were advised when trying to find the place that it was actually at Via Vittorio Emanuel 48 - a completely different building with inferior furnishings to those shown for Il Portico.
The host was friendly.
The check in process could have been a bit simpler if we were told in advance what the actual address was, together with the key box code and process. We had no phone coverage on the Cinque Terre trail during the day so it took over an hour to finally connect with the host (who was extremely apologetic and had tried to contact us throughout the day) and find the actual property.
The property had no wash cloth or washing powder - very sparsely fitted out.
The actual property was below the standard of the majority of the photos on the site - we later found our property photos in the last 9 or so photos of 139 photos, which I found very misleading!! It was not Il Portico!!

Very cosy and tasteful little apartment, right in the centre of this small, but pretty town. Good place for a one night visit or to use as a base to explore the Cinque Terre.
Nothing of any note, but the steep stairs to the second floor may be a problem for those unsteady on their legs.

Fantastic location, nice host.
Quite noisy with the windows open (train passes in front), bed too soft for us.

We rented the Holiday home. Nice, clean and well equipped apartment with balcony overlooking the city.
The address on booking indicates that the property is next to the beach. This is not the case for the Holiday home. It’s about 4 min walk into the city. For us that was not a big issue in the end, but we were choosing this property because it was seaside so this is definitely a minus in our books.

Location was terrific for access to hiking trail. Spotless in terms of cleanliness!
The pull out sofa bed wasn't made and we hunt for bedding and also bath towels for the bathroom.

What can I say about this property that hasn't already been said about the host and property. A 10/10 on every possible aspect. Lovely spacious property, super welcoming and caring host, location right in the centre.
The apartment had everything that a family on a holiday could need.
Cleanliness & Hygeine 10/10

Grate location, well equipped, everything you need for your stay at the Cinque terre. Very clean and neat. I recommend to use this as your base for a few nights, we only had one night and would gladly have stayed longer.
Bed could use a mattress topper to make it a bit softer, but it was still ok.

This is a prefect location if you are hiking the Cinque Terre. Large apartment with great kitchen and extremely comfortable bed. Two TVs. Rain shower was great and water temperature was HOT!!!
There is not one thing wrong with this apartment.

Betwern the bell tower and train tracks, with trains going all night, good luck in getting any sleep. Worst nights stay in my life.

The location is excellent and close to beach, old town, restaurants and easy beautiful walk from station. In our three days there we could enjoy hiking, visiting other villages, swiming at beach and eating out with our children. The apartment was very well equipped and clean. The description of the apartment is correct.
It was not a big apartment for four of us. I heard the train noise. But it did not bother us. With many other good points it is not a problem.

Elisabetta was great! Easy to pick up the keys. Easy to check out. Location next to good restaurants. Close to station. Comfortable and clean apartment.

The location was so great for the price we paid. Having small children and being able to go back to the room in between travels was great. Safe location. Secure building.
Their was a vent that had noise travel from outside. We could hear people downstairs in the restaurants or bars till late night. If we just had a little more space for a family of 4 but we made it work. Bathroom is very right but we made it work again.

Location is great. It is in the city centre at two minutes by foot from the beach and also close to the train station from which you can take a train to visit all other cities of Cinque Terre.
The apartment was recently renovated so it is all new, the furnitures too. We loved the decoration, elegant and cozy..just a proof of Italian buon gusto.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. She gave us all the information and tips to have a wonderful stay. Also, we met her in the street at night and we told her we wanted to buy a t-shirt in a shop which was closed and she called the shop owner who came opening the shop for us. We were quite shocked and amazed by the friendship and closeness people of this little town share. We felt part of the family. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. We loved Monterosso and the whole experience.
