About this cottage rental

Set on the hill in San Remo, the cottage has stunning water views to Westernport Bay. Relax on the deck and watch the tides change.
This colorful and comfortable home with established gardens is walking distance to a dog friendly beach (summer restrictions apply) and the local township with bars, cafes and shops.
Full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bathroom and open living / dining space which looks out over the deck. Fully fenced for your dogs.

Host and her dogs live onsite, with completely separate entrances and garden spaces.

A bit more about the space:

Salty Paws cottage is a comfortable, light filled space set in beautiful gardens with stunning views over Westernport Bay.

The bedrooms have orthopedic quality mattresses with 1000 thread count sheet sets and fluffy wool quilts.

The bathroom has a deep luxurious bath and shower with Dindi Naturals shampoo, conditioner, hand / body wash and moisturiser provided for your use, including bubble bath for a relaxing treat.

The lounge has cosy sofas, with Netflix and wifi provided, and a full kitchen with everything you need to cook up a storm.

In winter firewood will be provided with everything you need to get the Coonara going for some extra warmth. (Cottage also has split system heating.)

The cottage is complimented with a wrap around balcony, with chairs for lounging and a dining setting, the perfect place to enjoy watching the sun set after a bbq on the Webber. There is also a gate on the balcony and fencing around the front garden to keep your dogs safe.

For the doggies I provide a toy basket, some beds on the deck (dogs are allowed inside too,) dog towels and blankets for those that can’t resist sitting on the furniture. I also have a hot/cold water tap on the balcony with Dindi Naturals dog shampoo to wash away the sand and mud after fun adventures.

Salty Paws is a 15 minute walk to the local ‘Foots Beach’ a popular surfing spot with a lovely bay for swimming and is also dog friendly.
Dog restrictions apply in January.

It’s also a 15 minute walk to the town with pubs, restaurants, cafes and clothing/homewares shops.

Guest access:
The cottage is accessed from the front garden up some stairs on the balcony.

There is one guest parking space in the driveway (in front of the garage) any additional cars can park on the street or on my nature strip.

Please note there are stairs to the cottage.

My partner and I had the best three nights stay at salty paws! I’m not sure who enjoyed themselves more us or our two beautiful Kelpies, alysha had set up the house just perfect for all of us to feel completely at home while looking out at the beautiful water views! We went on so many beautiful walks from our doorstep, snuggled up by the fire at night time! What a beautiful little town and House we will definitely be back!! Renee, mikey, Smokey and Rocco xx

My dog and I had a thoroughly relaxing, quiet and pleasant four night stay at Salty Paws. Exactly what I'd been looking for. The host Alicia was very welcoming, kind and attentive, while being respectful of privacy. Her property is very cosy, well appointed, super clean and has every amenity you might need and more besides. It is well situated, with balcony views of the sea where you can enjoy outstanding sunsets from inside or outside. Alicia is able to provide excellent suggestions on walks for your dog and other invaluable local information, in addition to what's provided in the excellent info booklet she has produced for visitors. It's absolutely perfect for people travelling with a dog, with a very secure private garden area and even warm water, shampoo and towels to clean off your salty, sandy pooch before coming inside. I'm already looking forward to a future visit next year and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Salty Paws to family, friends or anyone! Thank you Alicia 🙂

We couldn't be happier with our stay at Salty Paws. Alicia was so friendly and obliging, the cottage was beautifully appointed, it had everything we could possibly want or need, and the water views were amazing. Easy access to shops & restaurants, and the fact that we could take our little dog along was icing on the cake. We will definitely be back.

We had such an amazing time at Salty Paws cottage. The place was so bright, clean and spacious and Alicia provided so many little extras that made the trip so much more enjoyable. Location is great, just a 15 minute stroll into town and the views from the deck are absolutely breathtaking. Our puppies had the best time also and Alicia thoughtfully provided so many little extras for them also. We would definately recommend and would absolutely stay here again :)

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful decorated home. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Very spacious living area and deck with view of the ocean in a quiet location, well equipped kitchen and even a fenced garden. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and the dog beach. Perfect place for a getaway with your fur babies. We will definitely come back!

Quiet location with close proximity to shops and beaches. The house has everything you need. Alicia provided many helpful tips and conveniences to make our stay enjoyable. The large deck provided a safe outdoor area for the dog and us to enjoy the views across the water. A perfect and safe place to take your smaller dog - particularly if they usually live indoors with you. Our dog really enjoyed her stay and we did too! Alicia also has dogs. They are friendly and quite hilarious to interact with. Access note - the residence is upstairs, so may not suit dogs or people with mobility issues.

Alicia’s place was the best I have stayed in so far! If you own a dog, and they are like a member of your family, then you HAVE to stay here. 3 girls and their dogs headed to San Remo and had a fantastic time. Our dogs were catered for beautifully. Fully enclosed yard, beds, toys, blankets- Alicia had thought of everything. We were warmed by a lovely wood heater with magnificent views. It is really close to a fantastic dog beach, and so many dog friendly eateries. Alicia had already done the research for us, and we were able to take our dogs with us everywhere. San Remo and Phillip Island were very dog friendly. Great tip- take your dog to the Phillip Island Winery, and the Wild Food Cafe, both were delicious! Alicia was so kind to us, she gave us a later checkout, and the amenities she provided were beautiful. We are now sourcing where we can get the soap, shampoo and conditioner, they were divine. Will hopefully be back very soon to stay- thanks Alicia!

We loved this little pet-friendly 2 bedroom cottage in San Remo. My favourite spot was in either armchair, looking out the corner window towards the water. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could image. There were even groceries in the pantry that you could help yourself to. Alicia has thought of everything. She was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this stay even if you don't have pets.

I really enjoyed staying at this little 2 bedroom place. Stayed in the top section of the property, owner living downstairs. So many homely details, loved all the plants and the deck is fantastic. Beds super comfortable and so clean. It actually felt like staying at a friends nice beach house due to all the things there. Only thing lovely big bath but the plug does not hold the water. Everything else excellent. Attention to detail for this gorgeous place. Can't wait to stay there again. The host is also a very lovely and accommodating person. 10/10

Alicia has provided a clean, comfortable and modern home. The accommodation is set in a quiet suburb close to San Remo shops and beaches. It is also a truely “dog friendly” accommodation because your dog is allowed inside the house. We loved the “calming rock” gift and Dindi beauty products. Will be back.

Easy to rent and our host Alicia was quick to respond to all our queries. Arrival and access was simple and the first impression exceeded our expectations. Home was well set up and had pretty much everything we needed; and the beds were very comfortable. Host is actively maintaining property with flyscreens and doors installed on day 2. Info pack suggested nice walks for the dog which made our daily walks much more pleasant. San Remo shops were friendly and can recommend both Spicy Duck and Kelp which were definitely dog welcoming with our anxious Louie. That said San Remo in general is very dog friendly. Even the weather was pleasant! For those looking for constructive comments... there wasn't a hair dryer, though we had our own so it wasn't an issue. I'd award 6 stars if I could! Thanks Alicia!

We loved our stay at Salty Paws. Everything you needed was here. The place was so clean and fresh and comfortable. Light and airy with fabulous views. And watching the sunset was so good. Our little dog enjoyed the deck and we were close to everything - Phillip Island and places along the South Gippsland Coast. Alicia was a great host and so much thought was put in to her place. The beautiful Dindi bathroom products were an added extra which made me go and order some for home!

Totally fed up with being closed up in our house, my 87 yr old mum and I, with our dog, decided on a change of scenery and we hit the jackpot with Sandy Paws! Stunning views over Westernport, toasty Coonara fire with heaps of wood provided, and the most dog friendly place we have ever stayed at. The beds were wonderful and the house was equipped with everything we needed. We were lucky enough to get some sunny days and it was lovely sitting on the deck looking out over the bay, but even when it rained we had the lovely fire, the view and movies to watch. Alicia was wonderful and we highly recommend Salty Paws.
