The bed was on the floor of the 3.5 foot tall loft. It was only accessible by a rickety ladder. There were dead spiders hanging from the ceiling and cob webs everywhere. We also had to kill a few live ones. We used the pull out sofa bed because we could not safety get up and down the ladder at night. The mattress was hard memory foam and we woke up super stiff every morning. The sheets to the sofa bed smelled like mildew so we had to strip the bed in the loft and use those. The bathroom was clean but only had one tiny mirror for 2 girls. There was no TV, which was disappointing. We hoped to watch movies at night since downtown Seattle is a little scary at night. The check in procedures were unclear and we were fumbling around trying to figure out how to get in at 1am in the morning. There were no screens on the windows and no AC, so it was HOT. We already had a spider problem so I didn’t want to open the windows and allow more critters in. The listing needs to be MUCH clearer. I expected more for $1300!

This property is in a great location, close to the restaurants, shops and parks in Queen Anne as well as the Space Needle/Seattle Center and downtown Seattle/waterfront. The sofa bed has a comfy mattress but be aware that you will need to block the front door or bathroom with the coffee table to pull out the bed unless the owner has made changes since our stay. The indoor space is very small and upholstered furniture could use refreshing or a good cleaning. Nice outdoor seating area though and you can’t beat the price for the location.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House. It was clean and cozy, just what we needed for our trip. The neighborhood was great as well.
2.0 / 10.0
Totally over rated. The location is amazing, the finishes in bathroom lovely, everything else is false advertising. There is no bed. Loft is a half height that requires climbing precarious, unsafe, probably illegal ladder, with mattress on floor. Pull out couch is NOT comfortable. No bedding on couch except dirty (literally) crumpled single sheet, there is NO kitchen, the space is cramped when couch out, side chairs are just water stained patio furniture, and Vacasa, who actually manage this property, is terrible!! Nice talk, no action. The front door lock is defective and could not be locked. They never came to check it, nor fix it. Basically this is a pretty in
Pictures back yard single room with pretty bathroom, and nothing else.

I hate it for the people who own this property, but Vacasa, their property management company is an absolute dumpster fire. When we arrived, the sheets on the second bed looked like a wet dog rolled around on it. There were also NO blankets and NO pillows for the bed, just one dirty sheet. We immediately reached out and we were told someone would bring clean linens the next morning. The next morning no one showed up. We continued to reach out every single day and NO ONE showed up to help us the ENTIRE trip. We kept getting copy/pasted messages from different customer service reps bouncing us around promising the next day would be different. It was beyond frustrating. You can’t imagine. All day was back and forth with their CS trying to get someone to help us. Likewise before our trip I reached out to check how many outlets would be available for our cpap machines. After no response for 48hrs, I reached out AGAIN and got a message someone would reach out to me in 48hrs. It’s their literal job as a property management service to address these issues. We were so incredibly disappointed with our experience. We’re requesting a refund.

My daughter and her husband had recently purchased a new condo in the Queen Anne area of Seattle, and my husband and I were visiting for a week from New England.Nestled. The Carriage House is smack in the middle of the Queen Anne area, the perfect location for us to visit my daughter. Walkable to all sorts of cafes, ice cream parlors, and eateries, as well as shops, Trader Joes, and the farmers market, the Carriage House is an adorable small space in a beautiful neighborhood. You can also walk to Pike Place market, it's a bit of a hike - but a quick bus ride and you are there. Another quick bus ride and you are in Ballard, filled with great places to eat and shop, and both the Nordic Museum and the Ballard Locks. The house itself is small, but perfect for two people. I would have given 5 stars except for several issues. It has a nice layout, however if you are at all physically challenged, this is NOT for you - a ladder up to the loft where the mattress is can be challenging to navigate, especially if you are trying to bring items up there (like a carry on or duffle bag), and in the middle of the night to get to the bathroom, it's an inconvenience. There is a pull out couch in the main level, but then you have to put it away to have somewhere to sit in the morning. My husband and I are big morning coffee drinkers, and we like a couple of cups before we head out. The Carriage house was equipped with a Keurig, which I really don't care for both from an environmental perspective as well as a coffee taste perspective. Unfortunately, this one did not even work well, which was frustrating. The bathroom was thoughtfully designed - huge shower with multiple shower heads, however the towels were problematic. As in they did not dry very well - I had to check the label to make sure they were actually cotton. Seems like a small issue until you have to deal wit it. I would suggest the owners actually try using them, and then replacing them as they see fit. All in all, we would stay there again. If the Keurig was still there, I would purchase a small pour-over or press to use instead (shouldn't really have to do that). If the towels were still there, I would borrow some normal ones from my daughter. Hopefully, these simple issues would be addressed though.

The home was pretty, the home owners didn’t greet us as we were having problems outside & it was EXTREMELY hot, no AC. But my friends and I had a good time

Wonderful location in Queen Ann, quiet neighborhood street, walkable to shops and eateries, as well as public transit. Clean and comfortable. The bed was in a loft - very comfortable, but low ceiling and not very well lit, and definitely NOT for anyone who cannot navigate a relatively steep ladder. You need to be wide awake for any middle of the night trips from the loft to the bathroom. There is a sleeping sofa, but if you use it there is really no place to sit. We did enjoy our time there except for a couple of points - Kitchenette is functional, small refrigerator and hot plate if you want to cook, BUT the coffee machine was a Keurig (that I don't care for from an environmental perspective anyway) that just didn't work consistently - not good for AM coffee drinkers like my husband and I. Luckily there was a very good donut shop up the street with great coffee. Last pet peeve - the towels were terrible, non absorbent - to the point that I checked the label to see if they were actually cotton. I would suggest the owners actually try them out and replace as they see fit.

Lovely place, beautifully designed and decorated and a joy to stay in. Just a couple quibbles — no sponge to wash dishes (there’s a dishwasher) and the white chair cushions should be washed. And be aware that when the shades are open, you’re looking at parked cars, host house or play area. But overall felt very clean, comfortable and perfect for an evening stay when the view doesn’t matter! If that’s your plan, you will love this place!

Great location in a beautiful residential area with stunning views of downtown and Mt. Ranier in backdrop. My only complaint is that I wish the description had said that the loveseat in the front room was a sleeper. I only discovered this 2 days into my stay. Also, I never found sheets or a blanker/cover for it.

We loved staying here! The best part was the beautiful neighborhood and the amazing host. He was so nice, gave us many great tips on where to go and was just an all around great person. There are many places to eat, have coffee and shop within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again!

Fun little QA spot!
This is a cute Queen Anne place, in a great neighborhood. Walkable to coffee shops, restaurants and the local park. A very quite neighborhood, with an occasional visit from a local cat that wanted to hangout. There is a ladder to get to the bunk bed area (which I thought was fun) but if that’s not your thing then…but a fun spot, I’d definitely stay again!

Lovely little retreat tucked away in an upscale neighborhood. Beautiful decor, convenient location just steps away from coffee & donuts. Perfect for my daughter and I - she took the loft and I had the sleeper sofa.
Wifi was weak at first, but was quickly addressed with a call to Turnkey.

Terrific location, cozy lodging. Clean and comfortable. But bedding is either a pull out sofa in the sitting area or a loft (accessible by ladder) in which you must crawl around (ceiling is quite low). We were two adults, one in each bed. Totally enjoyed our time there. Kitchenette is well appointed and functional. Just make sure you're feeling agile and awake for any middle of the night trips from the loft to the bathroom and that the one in the sofa bed is okay with sleeping immediately outside the bathroom door.

We stayed at this lovely cottage for a anniversary getaway and would come back in a heartbeat. It was the perfect size for the two of us and the location was amazing! We didn’t rent a car. We either walked or got an Uber. The only negative was the soft mattress but this is more a personal preference. Would highly recommend staying here!

You can watch the sunset or rise at Kerry park which overlooks the city. It is amazing.
We didn’t rent a car and I am glad we didn’t. We walked everywhere or we took an Uber/lift. Couldn’t recommend this property more.

Our stay at this property was lovely, we didn’t have much contact with the property owner himself but it made for the quiet anniversary we were looking for. The home was well furnished and clean. You really can’t ask for a better location! I definitely recommend this property.
