I would like to start by stating that the hosts are top notch! They were extremely responsive and were able to provide everything that we needed! We arrived late on our check in day, and all of the stores were already closed. The hosts were nice enough to give us a bag of charcoal so that we could cook our food! We also had a graduation party and the pavilion was a great way to host the family. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We had a WONDERFUL stay! Eveything was close by, the beautiful property, the multiple fire pits, air conditioning, cookware, stocked cabins, covered patio, etc. We look forward to coming back next year! You go above and beyond for your guests and it shows. Thank you for guiding us with activites around town, answering texts quickly, and being a friend.

We stayed here with family and rented both units; it was perfect! The place was super clean and had AMAZING outdoor space. Jen was a superb host. She had great recommendations on things to do, restaurants, hikes, etc. And she was always checking in to make sure that we had everything. (We needed extra blankets and had them in minutes.) The location was great too.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The VRBO is near several beautiful paved rail trails. The owners are very considerate and helpful. It is great for privacy and family togetherness.

The cabins were nice and clean. We loved the backyard patio, it was a big area with a fireplace and picnic tables. That was perfect for playing cards and hanging around the fire. We also loved that Jen let us use their backyard, it is a huge backyard with a trampoline and swing. The backyard was perfect for setting up games with plenty of space. The check in process was easy, Jen greeted us and gave us a tour of the property. She even marked on the map restaurants and places we could visit. The check out process was simple and easy.

Perfect Cooks Forest location near trails and the river. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the multiple areas to dine and gather. Hosts are welcoming and eager to ensure a pleasant stay. Definitely recommend!! My 80 year old parents found it most pleasant!

Hosts were amazing; always available and helpful. My low oil light came on on the drive up and they provided me with oil! Convenient location and the property is well maintained. So glad linens and kitchen necessities provided. Great time!

Hemlock Haus comprises two units, one on the first floor and one on the second floor. Each has a separate entrance. We rented both units for our vacation.
We were impressed by the owner's hospitality. She lives next-door. The greeting that we received upon arrival was so incredibly personalized. She asked if we'd been to the area before and upon finding out that we had not, produced an area map and noted spots of recreational interest, restaurants, and activities. She followed up with a text of restaurant specials and other highlights.
The units were immaculate and stocked with paper products, towels and bedding. and a complete kitchen.
There is no cell service in the area but if you turn on wifi calling on your phone, you can access the calls and texts you need through their internet connection as long as you remain near the house.
There are plenty of trails for hiking. The ones in the old-growth forest are pretty easy, and the forest itself is serene.
The Clarion River is a short walk down the hill. It is a shallow, meandering river that is perfect for tubing or canoeing. We saw folks picnicing along the shore and wading in the clean water
We liked this place so much that it encourages us to return to Cook Forest.

A+ start to finish. Jennifer could not have been nicer and very accommodating. The two cabins were spotless. Everything we needed for the week was at our fingertips.
The location was very close to all the Cook forest trails and fishing. Just a lovely place, can not speak more highly of the experience. We will return.

Very nice cabin right on the edge of Cooks Forest! The host lives next door which is convenient if there are any questions or issues. Note it is not two separate cabins, it is an up and down. The step into the cabin may be difficult to negotiate for elderly or those with poor mobility. Overall we loved the cabin and location… we plan to stay again!
