Beachcomb for seaglass, stroll with bare feet, birdwatch, eat and chat, explore and maybe enjoy a glass of wine. Take out one of the kayaks or paddle boards. This is what relaxing in the Pacific Northwest is all about.
Only 15 minutes from Whidbey Island's Clinton ferry dock, you can be there in no time.

This is the best rental property we’ve stayed in as a group of extended family (with kids ranging 2-8). The location is gorgeous and convenient, the bed/bath layout worked really well for 3 couples plus 4 kids, and the house has *tons* of books, puzzles and toys. The super shallow bay is really cool for walks at low tide and felt very safe for introducing the older kids to kayaking and paddleboarding at high tide. Kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed our meals out on the porch. Very much hope we can come back again!

Great home in a wonderful waterfront oasis; sand, pebbles, driftwood, fire pit, porch swing, heaters, a huge natural play area for our grandkids and for us! Neighbors were kind, area was peaceful and quiet. House was beautiful and comfortably furnished.

We have rented on Whidbey every summer for 21 years. This property is among our favorites. The owner was very responsive to all questions prior to our stay. I have no complaints but for those that need a soft bed this may not be the place for you. All of the beds are quite firm. I will still rent this house in the future but I will bring a mattress pad.

This home is beautiful. The owner has added many thoughtful touches. It did not feel like a rental house, but more like a family member’s loan of a house!
The varied tides provided the children opportunities to play safely in the water!

We had a fabulous stay on Sunlight Beach! Location is convenient and beach can’t be beat. House is very cute and comfortable with large bedrooms and bathrooms, lovely decks, and lots of kayaks and paddle boards. We hope to come back!

Our family of 5 (kids age 5, 3, and 4 months) had another wonderful stay at Nate’s house on Sunlight Beach. The location is just perfect for a relaxed, beautiful family trip. We love spending our days exploring the miles of low tide, and paddle boarding at high tide, riding our bikes down the flat quiet street, visiting Langley for ice cream, and the fun local playground. The house is beautiful and very comfortable and cozy, with everything you could want including lots of games and puzzles. Nate is a super responsive and helpful host. This annual trip has become a family tradition and we couldn’t have found a better place!

We loved everything!

Nathan's place was everything we needed and more. We found the place to be clean and comfortable for our two families of 4 each. Kids loved the bunk room and the media room. So many games and books for them (not that they need it with the beach right there). Parents loved the back deck heaters and the fact that kids were entertained!
We absolutely will be staying here again. Fabulous spot.

The outside of the house is as described and the location is amazing. Kayaks and paddleboards were provided and we used them several times during our stay. Bicycles were also provided but several had completely flat tires and we were unable to inflate them. (Bike pump was provided, but the tires needed to be replaced). There is a trampoline in the front yard that is not for guest use, so warn your kids ahead of time! The inside of the house is large and spacious and there are lots of games, puzzles and books to keep any age satisfied. The whole house could use a deep cleaning. It was obvious that the linens and floors had been cleaned but that was about it. Several dishes, cups and utensils were not clean but put away in the cupboard. The coffee maker, oven, and washing machine looked like they have never been cleaned. The outdoor grill was clean but the grilling accessories were all dirty. Basic spices and laundry detergent were provided which is always appreciated. We enjoyed our stay despite the cleaning issues.

The Perfect Location!
This property is wonderful. The location is perfect. Large windows in the living room provided an amazing view of the beach and water. The front porch had heaters on the ceiling that made it very cozy to sit outside in the evening when it got a bit chilly. If you have children they will not be bored. This house had tons of books, puzzles, and toys. Kayaks and standup paddle boards were an added plus! A very special vacation. Thank you Nate for sharing your house with us!

Wonderful Stay on Useless Bay
This property was spectacularly located on Sunlight Beach at Useless Bay. Just off the backyard you enjoy a great beach for kids and at low tide can walk out into the bay for lots of fun in the sun. The house itself was as advertised and great for a family. We had a great time and the property manager did a great job answering questions and helping to make the stay perfect. Short drive to Langley or Clinto, really, just a perfect location!

Amazing family stay on Sunlight Beach
We had the most fantastic time staying here for an extended weekend getaway for my birthday. We decided late that we wanted to get away to Whidbey Island and were so fortunate that Nate’s house had just been listed and was available. We’ve stayed at several houses in the area and this house is our favorite by far. The setup is great for families and gatherings, the view is stunning, and the house has everything you could ask for - and more! Traveling with two young kiddos (almost 2 and 3.5) is not easy, and this house was just perfect for us. Nate was exceptionally responsive to our messages and so helpful and accommodating of our requests - we had so much fun that we spontaneously added an extra night while on the trip and will be booking again later this summer! Thank you so much Nate and family for sharing your lovely slice of heaven with us.
