A wonderful place to stay!
This Jolie apartment on Grand Case Beach was everything we had hoped for. The apartment itself was immaculate. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the bathroom was spacious and had more than enough towels, the couch was good enough. Ephraim and Glenda were incredibly helpful. And the beach...definitely the best spot on St. Martin! I wish I could give this property 5 stars, but then there is the Rainbow Cafe next door. We knew from other reviewers that Monday nights were going to be noisy, but nothing could have prepared us for the vibration and the strobe lights until 2AM, and we were at the apartment for 2 Mondays. Oh well. They were good neighbors otherwise. The Rainbow seemed to be one of the most popular spots on the beach so they sometimes attracted a lunchtime crowd, but that never really bothered us, and the staff there were very sweet. Overall, we were extremely happy that we chose to stay at Jolie apartments. We had a wonderful vacation.

As advertised. Very nice beach.
Nice unit, great location on a calm beach. The restaurant next door is a bit close and has a few late nights but not a big problem. Would choose this spot again. Close too many restaurants.

Would be 6-stars if not for...
...the nightly noise from the Rainbow Cafe next door. Monday night's noise from the party next door was brutal, even after moving beds away from the wall and placing lawn chair mattresses against the windows. Interestingly, my wife and three kids slept right through it all, but I didn't sleep a wink that night.
Despite this, everything else was better than perfect. In fact, during the day, the Rainbow Cafe is GREAT to have right next door, with excellent food and service. The apartment is clean and modern and is located on the best beach and the best area (for food, etc.) in all of St. Martin. They even had gifts, goodies and refreshments waiting for us on arrival. Phadya and Robert are wonderful, kind and honest people. When our baby car seat did not arrive with our flight, Phadya ran an errand for us to purchase a new one in Marigot and deliver it to us. Ephraim and Glenda are amazing...very friendly every day and great with the kids. They purchased and decorated a real Christmas tree and even purchased and presented separate Christmas gifts to all three of our children. Also, Glenda, in her coffee shop, makes the BEST cappuccinos and caffe lattes on the entire island....Seriously!....much better than even the high-end restaurants on the Grand Case strip.
Thank you all very much. We look forward to a return visit.

Some disappointments
Our week in Jolie Beach had some lovely aspects, along with some rather jarring disappointments. On the plus side, the apartment was well stocked and well maintained; the beach was very sweet, with wonderful access; security seemed good; and Glenda & Ephraim were great hosts/caretakers. We had been forewarned about the very late (2:15 am) jackhammer pounding Monday night party next door, although nothing can quite prepare someone for that experience; however, we were amazed to go through a similar (if briefer, ending at 11:15 pm) pounding on Wednesday night - even though there was hardly a soul in the Rainbow to justify it. I approached Douglas, the Rainbow owner, about this on Wednesday, who said he would lower the absurd volume, but he hardly did at all. Once again, this was not a party situation, so very hard to understand. Perhaps the biggest disappointment, however, was that the owners had listed a clothes washer and dryer as amenities on Home Away, but there was neither, and none on the premises. Had we known, we would have packed differently. We did notify Glenda about this misrepresentation and inconvenience, but we never did hear from the owners about the problem. We survived, of course, and did love the beach and the island, but be aware that the posted washer and dryer do not exist.

Paradise--Beach, great condo, great restaurants, cute little boutique shops, fab weather!
Just returned from a week stay at this heaven on earth condo in beautiful Grand Case! The condo exceeded our expectations in all ways except on Monday evening when the party next door went on longer than we anticipated. So you must join the party next door or stay out till 2 enjoying somewhere else. With that one caveat, the greeting from Ephrain sp? and then the owner Robert also were welcome as we were uncertain since we had never stayed here before. They explained everything and were there waiting for us when we arrived from our taxi ride from the airport in Phillipsburg. The condo itself is beautiful, seems new, and very clean. Featuring a nice full kitchen with fridge, stove, micro and cabinets and all the dishes etc. The bathroom is beautiful with double sinks, and a huge tiled shower and lots of countertop space for my stuff. The bed was very comfy and the pillows were also. The drawer space and closet space acts as a divider between the living room area and kitchen space from the bedroom. The living room sofa also makes up into a sleeper. And there is a nice dinette table too; however we choose to eat our meals just the two of us outside our condo in a covered area...overlooking the beach. From your condo you can walk right down the wooden steps to the sand! Sigh....so warm, sunny and comfortable as every day they set out your lounger and umbrella. I carried down the two nice chaise lounge toppers so I was super comfy as I lounged and read on the sandy beach. The beach here is wider than in most areas and if you want to kayak or paddleboard you are right where you can rent whatever you want. I just relaxed on the beach and walked up and down and collected a few shells. The water color was beautiful! For convenience, you can walk to the French bakery you just turn to the right and then a left--less than two blocks--also two grocery stores right there too. Restaurants are right up and down your street and they are fantastic! Some of the best I have ever had and half of them have water views. Some are more upper end in price but then the next night I had pizza within a half a block and made on a wood fire which was also great and inexpensive. So this condo has the weather, the location, the convenience, the great amenities, and the people! Glenda and Ephrain are more than helpful & there when needed no matter the request! And the owners were just a call or email away too. We felt right at home! We will miss it.

A little French Paradise!
I want to first of all thank Jolie, Robert and her staff Glenda and Efrain for an unforgettable 50th Birthday for my husband and Anniversary! It was our first time in the island and didn't know what to expect. The people are wonderful and since we went right before the season we had the beach mostly to ourselves. Jolie took the time to greet us even though she had Glenda and Efrain on site which my husband and I appreciated. It is not my first time renting and I've never been greeted by the owner or staff. Glenda was great to see every morning with her big smile and wonderful service if we need anything. Every morning she would be very attentive and with such a great attitude. Efrain was the same. Anything we needed he was there with a big smile. The beach is beautiful as well as the scenery out of our window while we woke up and had our coffee. We did extreme zip lining which was awesome and a great workout! We decided to go to Anguilla and enjoy the number 1 beach in the world. Though the weather wasn't great the beach was still warm enough to enjoy and just breathtaking. All the restaurants were amazing especially la petite table. If you want a romantic view with also great food you have oceans 52. You will not regret your stay at Jolie Beach! We definitely plan to come back with our kids next time.

A slice of paradise
My wife and I recently spent 10 glorious days here in the Grand View unit on Jolie Beach. It was everything we were hoping for and more. This bright, clean apartment is perfect for a couple (there is a pull-out couch if you have kids). It has a fridge and stove/oven but we knew in advance that we'd be sampling as many of the restaurants and lolos (open air BBQ places) as we had time for. The view of Grand Case Bay is spectacular, and you can't get any closer to the ocean than this. We spent a lot of time at a table in the common area adjacent to our room just people watching. We rented a car and toured the whole island and decided that this is the best beach on the island. No rocks or seaweed/flotsam, just nice clean sand. We went snorkelling at Creole Rock with one of the guides up the beach, and again on Pinel Island. There are a number of tourist shops right on Grand Case Boulevard near the apartment, and for serious shopping you can go to Phillipsburg on the Dutch side. For the more action inclined there are places to jet ski, water ski, zip line, horseback riding, etc. and the property managers Ephraim and Glenda can help you find any or all of them. Monday nights the restaurant next door has a disc jockey and the music goes into the wee hours; other than that it’s peaceful and quiet. One thing we learned is that many places don’t take credit cards so we had to use cash, and the machines on the French side only dispense euros. To get US dollars you have to go to a bank on the Dutch side. For groceries avoid the small store up the street (too $$$). Instead turn right out of the building and go down to the intersection where Grand Case Boulevard meets the N7 road and turn left (2 minute walk). There are two stores there with all the necessities and a pharmacy a bit further along. It was very nice meeting you and your boys Robert, sorry we didn’t get to meet Phadya. Special thanks to Ephraim and Glenda for all their help. Beautiful place, beautiful people! We would definitely come back!

Beautiful beachfront villa
We recently spent 9 wonderful days at this beautiful beachfront villa in Grand Case. When we arrived, Robert (the owner) met us at the condo to give us a brief tour and give us information about restaurants and other attractions on the island. He was extremely helpful and friendly. He made us feel right at home. The condo is exactly like the pictures we had viewed on VRBO. The condo was clean, bright, well equipped with anything that we could need, and had a big window in front overlooking the beautiful beach. Our first night there, we met a couple of local guys who cooked fresh lobster and fish for us right on the beach in front of the condo. What a treat. Every morning, we walked just over to the next street to purchase delicious pastries to have with our breakfast. Glenda was in the front of the condo every morning to offer coffee. We had some fabulous dinners just down the beach from the condo- no wonder this is called the culinary center of the Caribbean!! We would highly recommend the Rainbow Cafe next door, as well as Tastevin just down the street. We also tried Ocean 82 and were not as impressed. The food was fabulous, but the service was lacking. We enjoyed long walks on the beach each day and a glass of wine in the evening as we watched the sunset over the ocean. Robert checked on us several times, and was quick to respond to emails if we had questions. We had a fabulous week staying in this beautiful condo and would highly recommend it! We will definitely be back. Thank you Robert and Padya for sharing your lovely villa with us!!

Very nice. Clean. As advertised. Nicest beach location
Great apartment in the sweet spot in the middle of Grande Case beach. Very clean and modern. The bathroom is large, with his and hers sinks and a wonderful combination rain shower and jet spray shower. Fully functional kitchen with all the necessities. The view from the sliding glass windows is to die for, and opens to let in the sea breeze and ocean sounds. Front side of apartment fronts on Grande Case Blvd, with easy walking access to great restaurants and shops. Grocery stores and pharmacy are one block away. The local managers, Glenda and Ephraim are helpful and friendly. We suggest you take a taxi from the airport upon arrival as the traffic and poor road signage is difficult to navigate at first. It is easy to rent a car in Grande Case once you get a better lay of the land.

Perfect location, beautiful property, and warm, friendly people
We had an amazing vacation on Grand Case! The Jolie Beach apartment was modern, clean, and had everything we needed - including a spectacular view, very helpful staff, and a wonderful beach. It was perfect for our family of four (including 2 teenagers). Robert and Phadya (owners) were very nice; Ephram and Glenda (on site staff) were also very friendly and graciously answered all our questions. We visited a few other beaches on the island, but would not want to stay anywhere other than Grand Case. Even our kids loved our beach the best! We also enjoyed visiting Happy Bay Beach, which is a beautiful secluded beach about a 25 minute walk from the apartment. We had rented a car, so for a fun excursion one day, we visited the Butterfly Farm and Loterie Farm.
We especially enjoyed the quiet local feel of Grand Case. There is plenty to do, but it is very relaxing and the restaurants are incredible! There is nothing better than waking up to that gorgeous view and walking right down the steps to the soft sand and beautiful turquoise water. Thank you for a perfect vacation!

A Great Stay!
My husband and I stayed here on our 10th anniversary get-away. The apartment looks exactly the way it does in the pictures - the view and location are unbeatable! The owners and staff are all wonderful - friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. The room is new, clean and well furnished with everything you would need. The location is within walking distance to many of the best restaurants on the island along with several great little beach bars. We didn't have any food that we didn't LOVE all week! The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxed, perfect for vacation! We loved everything about it and if we ever come back to St. Martin we would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone interested in traveling to St. Martin!

Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!
We had a lovely experience. Everyone involved with our stay at Grand Case was so friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed by all. The pictures online are an accurate depiction of our unit and the view was spectacular! It suited our needs perfectly. The party at the Rainbow Cafe next door was loud and lasted until the wee hours of the morning but we were treated to a delicious breakfast the following day. We felt immersed into the culture of the island and loved it! We would definitely consider staying here again and highly recommend it to others.
Thank you!

Nice stay
Very nice place. You can tell the owners are welcoming as they left us many items to make our stay more comfortable: adaptors, first aid kit, decent kitchen utensils, etc. The beach is very nice and the country is just as nice. A big shout out to Chocolate and Indian for making us feel at home. Thanks

A very special stay!
This apartment and the Grand Case beach/town were amazing. We stayed for 4 days after having been on a sailboat for a week....it was the perfect spot to rest, play in the sand, eat the local foods and explore the island. The apartment was perfect, super clean, gorgeous, comfortable. And even better were Ephrain and Glenda who were there to help us feel taken care of...they were SO friendly, accommodating, welcoming, and warm with our 3 young children. We could not have asked for a better rental experience...we feel so lucky to have found this special spot. The apartment had everything we needed and a view that was even more spectacular than the photos can represent. Anyone who goes to the island should stay here....I cannot imagine a better spot!

Best Beach on the island, Can't beat the service!
This is an absolutely beautiful beach! The apartment is just as the pictures show, nice, well maintained and right on the beach. We drove around and visited many other parts of the island and were glad we stayed here. If you are looking for relaxation this is the beach for you. Plenty of restaurants and stores in the area. Robert and his team at the location are fantastic, in fact they help make the stay!. The only real con to this apartment is that there is some noise in the evening from the restaurant next door. We used white noise machines to help block it out, but it can be loud, so if you go to bed early this could be an issue. I would also just plan on going next door for the Mojito party on Monday night because you will be up anyway. But besides Monday night we really had no real issues with the noise. We loved the people and the location and will definitely be back!

Beautiful, safe, friendly, a place for your taste bud!
Grand case is amazing! The condo is right on the beach. The staff, Ephrim and Glenda on site, are amazing and very helpful. Location is great for fine dining or Lolo's (our favorite). The only reason we didn't give 5 stars is the owners of the other side of building were doing construction and it was an annoyance. Robert and Phayda are amazing owners and live near by. We walked around often and never felt unsafe. Room had amazing window overlooking bay! Very clean and comfortable condo. We rented a car and found it to be helpful to travel to other parts of the island when we wanted too.

Fantastic, clean, safe, relaxing - WE LOVED IT
The room - all the furnishings and fixtures are very new and very nice. Spotless too. (We did not see even one ant the whole time, even when we left mango peels on the counter for several hours!). Everything works great and there is plenty of space for 4 to sleep. The view is as shown in the pics - unbeatable. The wifi works great and the owners even leave you a local cell phone so you don't incur roaming charges on yours.
The building - its a 3 story building with about a dozen rental units, plus the caretaker and security live there too. One side of the building faces the beach. One side faces Grand Case street, which is a narrow street, lined with a delightful series of small hotels like this one, local homes, local businesses, and tourist shops, and restaurants.
The town - its like being in a wonderful combination of a French village, a sleepy beach town, and a trendy entertainment district. All the locals know each other, and they are a very international group. They are all very friendly to tourists. Steps from your unit you will find small grocers, pastry shops, and right on premises is a coffee shop run by the Owners. A 5 minute walk (you can go either on the street or the beach) and you will find 20 or more great restaurants (local food, French, and Italian), plus 10 or so gift shops with so many neat and unique items (not your standard t-shirt shops). A five minute walk in the other direction along the beach will get you to nice snorkeling along the rocks at the base of the hill.
The beach - The water is warm, calm, everything you imagined and better. The caretaker makes sure the chairs and umbrellas are set out and arranged early in the morning. Right next door is an open-air restaurant with beachfront drink services. A 2 minute walk down the beach is a water sports business with paddleboards, jet skis, etc. Sunsets? oui.
The staff - the Owners are always available by phone if you need them, but you won't. Because their two on site staff are always there to help you out.
Getting around - don't rent a car. Not necessary. If you change your mind, there's several car rental places nearby.

Beautiful place, great view, and welcoming owner.
We arrived with a warm welcome greeting from Robert waiting at the front entrance of the villa. The location was very beautiful, it was over looking the beach. The beach was amazing, clear ocean, no waves and lots of beach beds to lay on. There are many local restaurants, bistros, cafes, bakery's and groccery stores near by - all walking distance. The villa itself was very modern, great bathroom and kitchen - new appliances. Robert was very helpful, he explained where everything is and his other partner was also great. He made sure everything was clean on the beach, and around. Please be warned that on Mondays and Thursday's, there is loud club music from 9pm - 2 am at the restaurant (Rainbow Cafe) right beside the villa. We did not expect that and we have children who go to bed early, so it was quite a disturbance. Other than that, it was fantastic and I would defiantly visit again.
