Employees were great! Attached restaurant was delish! Location to everything was really good! The only down thing about the hotel was the part we stayed in, too get to the pool, you had to go down an elevator, go oitside, and up another elevator.

I have a good sleep 😊

We had a great stay and the location was accessible to everything. Thanks for a great time!

This hotel room just north of downtown was exactly as advertised. No unpleasant surprises.

The location is great, but I would suggest booking your reservation straight through the hotel and not use VRBO. As I had a horrible experience and the hotel employees kept blaming it on the fact that I used "VRBO'" or a "Third party" when booking my stay. I wont ever stay here again. They messed up my reservation and told me I was overbooked, even though I made the reservation 6 months in advance and called twice between that time and my stay to make sure everything was all set. I was then told that they were going to hold the room that I originally wanted and then I came back later that day to them saying that nothing was held for me. It was such a fustrating experience as this was my first time in Chicago.

There is a restaurant/bar that is nice but the check in and parking process took almost an hour and no one could find a parking lot attendant so it was a madhouse. Rooftop is nice and so is pool

The location of the property is good for walking around and visiting some of the well known sites of downtown Chicago. Unfortunately, that is the only good thing about this property. The online pictures are misleading--room was so small. We did not have WiFi even though a router was in the hallway. The room smelled. Our room did not get serviced eventhough I asked for it. The roof top closes at 10pm, so you really don't get a great opportunity to see the skyline at night. It was frustrating. But we made the best of our visit by staying away from our room!

HUGE ROOM! I didn't expect it to be so big.
Cleanliness - passed the black light test...with flying colors IYKYK.
I was a little concerned when I walked in; there were earplugs on the nightstand. I slept through all the noise, but if you are a light sleeper, you will want them. My cousins were closer to the window. Also, It's a stick built hotel, so you hear everything above you. I think Godzilla was above us.
Check-in, no fault if VRBO. Hotel Management is lacking staff. They did a shift change right at 3:00 check-in time.

Not well maintained hotel especially if you are staying in East building(away from main lobby)
Elevators are tiny and slow and so dirty.

A friend and I had tickets to a concert in town. The parking attendant was super friendly and helpful, check in was smooth. Upon check in, we were informed it was a no smoking property which was fine. When we got up to our floor it SMELLED of smoke something terrible.Right outside the room there was a small fan as if there it was there to dry some spill, which made the entire hallway smell of mold, mildew and smoke. The walls are thin and you will hear everyone in the hallway. The beds and pillows aren’t the most comfortable but they did the job.

Location was ideal. Everything was very clean and everyone was friendly. The balcony is a great hangout spot with great view!

doable for a quick trip

We were impressed with the outdoor views and the city at night and the indoor rooftop pool. Exercise area was also nice. The hotel is a bit of a maze at times, but overall night. It was a bit frustrating that we I had to contact the renter multiple times and contact the VRBO assistance line to get instructions at check in. If that could be included in the initial information that would be great. Maybe I missed it?

Walking distance to a lot of tourist attractions. We did keep smelling marijuana in our bathroom from maybe the room next door. That was the only negative about this hotel. We had a lot of fun.

This room is in the Best Western and it’s a good site, between .5 and. 1.5 miles to most things in Chicago so you can walk.
The building is a bit old, room felt smaller than what we thought it was going to be but we weren’t in room much for our trip as tourists in Chicago. Parking was nice bc we didn’t use the car at all.
All in all, nice location for the tourist in us that wanted to do a whole bunch of activities during a short weekend.

The room was plenty big enough for each person to sleep in their own bed. It was a quick walk to downtown and a good location for restaurants. Spot hero was a cheaper way to park close by.

They couldn’t find our reservations at first, even though we booked a month in advance. The first room we were put in beds were broken had to get put in another room. Hotel cleanliness was very off. Parking garage security was very rude as well

We had a very nice stay at the Best Western River North. Easy to find your way around the buildings. Daniel was very helpful and friendly. He got us checked in quickly and was very helpful. All the staff were friendly and welcoming including Wallace and Ray. I requested a mini fridge for the room before we arrived and it was there when we checked in, at no extra charge. The pool area and deck are a nice bonus. Beautiful views of the city. It was an excellent experience! This will be my home away from home in Chicago from now on! Can’t wait to return. Thank you everyone at Best Western River north.

This hotel is fine in general - as the cheapest option we could find it wasn't in a terrible location and it was clean enough. But the noise at night was insane. We had to find a White Noise playlist on Spotify and play it on top volume off of a phone all night in order to sleep. We were on the second floor so we were very close to the street and there were motorcycles blasting music until 2 and 3 in the morning and lots of cars sounded like they were drag racing whenever they got a green light.
Also, they only had those super thick pillows that I can't sleep on at all - so if you're used to a relatively thin pillow, bring your own. I went pillow-less.

The price needs a little bit of renovation on the outside but as a whole the room was ass pictured the bathroom was pretty small.

Great place to stay
This is in a Best Western, and very well maintained. My buddy and I were in Chicago for a concert and this place met all of our needs. The property is pretty centrally located, and a quick walking distance to many great restaurants and stores. The restaurant connected with this property had a great breakfast menu, and the pool and overlooking deck is well worth a visit with a nice view. This is a great place for families to enjoy, or even a guys/girls trip to take part in the Chicago atmosphere.

Property was great but a few suggestions
Our experience was great at the property but for the price it would have been nice to at least have a mini fridge and a microwave.

Great location. Walking distance to many activities
Great family trip to visit Chicago. Conveniently located to many attractions (shopping, dining, bus routes)

Best Western - W Ohio Street
The location of this hotel is awesome! The north side of the river is happening and this hotel is right in the thick of it. People at the hotel were great and kept the room very clean. The facility itself is a bit tired and could use some sprucing up. Don't have high expectations and you will be fine.

Location was great!
We enjoyed our stay in Chicago. The property was just as described. Liked having monitored/fenced in parking on site. The room was a little small for 2 adults and 2 children, but we made the best of it. Would not recommend eating at the restaurant on the property. The food we had for dinner was not good.
The location was great and the property manager was easy to work with.

It was good, the top floor is amazing , the indoor pool is great, just wish they have a hot tub

The room was clean and updated, but the air conditioner turned on every 10 minutes and sounded like a freight train when it did, then run for maybe five minutes. Between the air conditioner and being able to hear all street noise quite easily (yelling, traffic, etc), I'd recommend bringing ear plugs. Hotel lobby staff and parking staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a good stay, especially after buying ear plugs :)
