Sugarloaf farmhouse in the heart of the Ovens Valley provided every comfort we could think of amidst beautiful mountain pasturelands. The quiet was only broken by birdsong, the small brook & distant cattle noises.

Very beautiful property, extremely well equipped and phenomenal views. One of those properties that is better than it looks in the photos.

We LOVED our stay. The house is beautiful, the views of rolling hills, cows and rushing creak were amazing, and the house had everything we needed. It was all so much better than the photos indicated! And we enjoyed being unplugged from the internet for the weekend with the kids (Telstra phone worked for us, but no other networks).

We had such a lovely time at Sugarloaf Farm. The property is beautiful and so picturesque. The house had everything that we needed and possibly the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in. The kids loved the chickens and checking for eggs. We unfortunately had no luck fishing off the small creek that runs through the property but was lots of fun trying. There is another house on the property, the tenants there were so lovely and helpful. Looking forward to staying again some time soon. Thanks for having us!

Clean and warm property which easily accommodated our family of 5. The kids especially loved checking the chickens, jumping on the trampoline and walking down to the river where they could paddle. The house is next door to another property, which is occupied by a super friendly neighbour who was great to our family. This was a lovely quiet place for us to return to each day while we explored the surrounding region.

We were extremely happy with the place. The house has been recently renovated and was sparkling clean. The house had all the necessary supplies one could think of. We had a very comfortable stay in the farm outside from the hustle bustle but still quite near. We would love to come back for another stay here. Absolutely loved everything here!

Country Property bordering My Buffalo
The property is a 3 bedroom house with a nice kitchen, dining and lounge area with a great fire place. Many parts of the house have been renovated and the views in the morning are nice. Situated amongst many acres of land the property has most of what one needs for a family getaway. A small fire pit outside and a large enclosed trampoline for this kids add to the property. It is a 10-15 minute drive to Myrtelford and nearby there is a caravan park for extra family and guests to reside at if needed. On arrival one is greeted by a number of cows (fenced away) and one neighbour lives close by who was very helpful and friendly during our stay.
It is a nice country retreat, away from people but close enough to amenities if required.
We would recommend staying at this working farm for families. Best of all, Bright and surrounds as well as My Buffalo is near by.
