Just want to start out with my family and I have been coming to the Carolina Beach/Kure Beach/Ft Fisher area every year since 1995, sometimes two to three times a year. The house was nice. One of the master bedrooms shower drain was leaking, so we couldn't use the shower, had to share the hall shower with others. Elevator was a plus for us older folks. Sliding glass door had a broken handle and some towel hangers were not installed on wall, they were in the drawer.
One of the big issues we had was the pictures on the app display a large beach. There isn't. At high tide, the water is at the rocks. There is beach at low tide but nothing like the pictures. Also the stairs to the beach are damaged. They added some stairs to the side but their fix has an issue being halfway down the stairs they turn into more of a ladder type. The rise/run changed drastically, so caution for young children and elderly or physically limited people. The fenced-in area was great for pets. Check-in and check-out is simple.

Great location! This property is definitely right on the beach; great views, close to everything. Our family really enjoyed - the layout was wonderful for all of us and it was nice having an elevator being on the second and third floors. Great family time

Stayed the week with family. Plenty of space for everyone. The elevator is game changer for hauling up gear and groceries. I would just be mindful of high tide, the beachfront becomes very short at high tide. Love the proximity to everything. Great place!

The entire family had plenty of room to mingle with each other, plenty of places for all of us to sleep. Ice maker in the fridge was great. The ocean views and sunrise views were amazing.

The house was very comfortable. There was excellent sound-proofing. The bedrooms were quiet, you couldn't hear other guests moving around. The ocean views were lovely and the hourse was close to amenities. The kitchen had an eclectic mix of cooking accessories and not enough glasses and cups. Bring your own kitchen towels and dishwasher soap! FYI the tv remotes were missing batteries or were missing altogether. Otherwise, the bathrooms were well fitted and clean, the bedrooms were comfortable and the house was in a great location.

When the description said it was RIGHT on the beach, they weren't kidding! The house was lovely & the view was incredible. Other than having to make some of the beds upon arrival, some smoke alarms that went off for no reason at all, the rest of the stay was perfect! Thanks again!

The property was in a convenient location right on the water. Bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. Main living space was a little tight for our group of 13, but we were outside most of the time! BYO extra kitchen towels, sponges, dishwasher soap. Overall the house was clean, comfortable and well located!

Great location, good layout. Elevator was very helpful. Amazing sunrises. The house was dirty with bery heavy dirt on the doors and stairway handrails and extremely dusty around floors and base molding. House needs some improvements as it's very tired. Mattresses are mostly worn out, fixtures coming apart. The kitchen was not well stocked. There were people on the first floor with a large dog and they did not pick up after it which made using the yard impossible. Great place, just needs some love. We understand the challenges as we have a beach rental also. Thanks for letting us stay!

We really enjoyed the layout and conveniences for our large family of 10, plus dogs. We found all the dishes and appliances we needed. The only disappointment was that at high tide there is no beach to sit on in front of the property, unlike most of the other properties. The property manager was very responsive to our requests to fix internet (the connecting cable was missing) and to put batteries in most of the smoke detectors. We would consider renting again.

I only gave it 4 stars because we were without a dishwasher the entire week. The previous guests had complained and a part needed ordering. It really needs a new dishwasher. I saw on a review from last yr the dishwasher was an issue but thought surely that was taken care of. The company did give a small refund which we appreciated. Otherwise this rental was amazing!!

This was a wonderful house for our family to stay for Spring Break. It was pretty accurate to what was described in the listing. We had 9 people, and it was perfect for what we needed. The building a little older than the pictures appear, but the owners appear to have renovated. We enjoyed ourselves and loved how close the house was to the beach. Thanks so much for letting us stay!

The house was just what we needed and the fact that it was right on the beach was great! The bunk bed in one of the bedrooms was a little shaky and additional toiletries/supplies in the house (toilet tissue, paper towels and trash bags) would have been appreciated. Overall the stay was just what was needed for the group.

Excellent views and beach access. Lots and Lots of stairs. Pictures were accurate. Spacing was great. You could either be together with the group or squirrel away without being noticed.

A shore thing 2 was a great location for our church’s Mens retreat. The large living room, kitchen and dining area made this an ideal location for food, fun and fellowship. Private beach access and the beautiful scenery from the porch makes it hard to leave. As the description notes, there is another unit being rented underneath this property and the occupants may create a “ministry opportunity”. The property owner lives close by and did a great job communicating with us during the stay and moderating any miscommunications with the other renters. Parking is a little tight if you bring trucks and vans but it can be done. Thanks again for a great experience at Carolina beach, we would definitely stay again!

air conditioner didn't work, Property managers were aware of the issues with the AC and couldn't fix issue and refusing to give us our money back. We left a day early because of the heat!
I am contacting my attorney and American express and BBB immediately due to lack of response!
