Quaint cottage in Quorn
Lovely quaint cosy cottage. Lots of thoughtful goodies left, which were very welcome. Plenty of room and a parking space.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely town, sadly we did not find it comfortable
Spacious property for 4 adults & 2 dogs; fully equipped kitchen, large living room and dining area, nice shower, good and clear communication from the host with check-in instructions. The property is located in a lovely town and there is a small beautiful park nearby.
Spring mattresses in a 2nd bedroom - the most uncomfortable sleep for 2 out of 4 guests. Also, the property is few doors down from the pub - very noisy in the evenings, not ideal if you expect to have a good rest. Sadly the combination of these 2 factors meant we did not have a very nice stay as the main purpose was to have somewhere relaxing to sleep before and after the wedding which we attended nearby. I am aware that hosts cannot do much about the pub, but the beds could be updated.

Really disappointing that such an attractive little cottage did not provide decent service
The cottage is very pretty and in a lovely village
The kitchen was badly set up - no proper bin (we don't think an open box is acceptable) and the fridge was too small even for 2 for a weekend. There was food left in the freezer compartment, and a slight smell of gas around the cooker. The folder of information is out of date, with no useful leaflets and did not contain details of the wifi or its code, which we were eventually told were in a very inconvenient position and very difficult to read. There was a half empty minute bottle of bath stuff in the bathroom, no waste bins anywhere, and no hand wash in the bathroom or to speak of in the cloakroom.

Nice character cottage in pleasant village.
Very pretty terraced cottage which was clean and comfortable in a pleasant busy village with amenities. Lovely to see some original features. Bedrooms spacious and the bed was very comfortable with good quality bedding. Parking to the front is great. Pub on doorstep and small park/gardens and various shops/eating establishments within a few minutes walk. Very easy to get onto main routes to other areas. We spent a day in the Derbyshire Dales (around an hours drive). Overall the cottage was pretty, clean and well equipped. The owner is pleasant and very helpful.
Not having a blind at the bathroom's large window made us very uncomfortable at night as a pub garden is at rear together with some sort of village hall/community centre (just past the pub garden). We didn't feel comfortable having the bathroom light on after dark which was a major problem for us and could be so easily rectified. The large upstairs landing window would also benefit from a blind. Shower tray not draining (owner notified) so sure this will be immediately rectified. The village is nice but is not the quiet countryside type of village we had expected (lack of our homework) but that is only a matter of preference as we prefer more rural locations but would be ideal for many who prefer a busier location.
