Very welcoming stay with a nice sea views from hotel window, 1st floor or ground fl. terraces

Very nice and unique atmosphere. The hotel owner made me feel as in my own home, offering to enjoy all the amenities available in hotel, including the wine :)

Nice stay for one night and good breakfast

My wife and I needed a room to stay for one night halfway for a trip driving from Alicante to Gibraltar. Our host was friendly and gave us a warm welcome and we appreciated some drinking water. We enjoyed having a continental breakfast outside on the patio and talking with the owner.

There was no aircon however we asked for a portable fan. We would have appreciated a ceiling fan and modern power points or a multi power unit for phones and bedside lamp.

Una parada perfecta en nuestro viaje en bici desde Alemania a Málaga.

Mercedes es una anfitriona muy amable y atenta. Renovó su cortijo con gusto y estilo, así que es un auténtico placer alojarse allí. Todo está muy limpio y tranquilo. Encerrar nuestras bicicletas fue facilísimo. La cena y el desayuno fueron abundantes y estuvieron riquísimos. No sólo ciclistas deberían pararse aquí por el camino entre Almería y Malaga.

Pleasant host and a charming house

The host was very friendly and helpful. She showed us places to stay in the area and advised us where to go during our trip. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the house is very charming. The host made extra effort to wake up early and make us breakfast before our early departure. She also shared beach umbrellas with us. Shared bathroom is huge and it did not cause an inconvenience for us, since there are very few rooms in the house. Strong WiFi

Superb

The cortijo is run by a single owner who is very friendly and makes sure the guests have a great experience. The cortijo is divided into multiple rooms with each person/group reserving getting a room, while the bathroom is shared. Each day a small buffet breakfast is served prepared by the owner. The Internet service is generally very good and the setting is very peaceful with a lovely view towards the ocean, especially when viewed from the big shared balcony. This was truly excellent value for money and a welcome contrast from the typical tourist locations like Málaga and Benidorm. I would recommend staying here.

Be aware that you will have to make your own arrangements for getting to the cortijo as well as lunch and dinner. This means that the only viable option for staying in this place is to have or rent your own car. This was not a problem for me since I rented a car- but those thinking of booking here should bear this in mind. Also, beware of mosquitos in the evening, particularly on the balcony. Best to cover up your feet and arms.

lovely nice, personal place to stay where everything is possible.

the hosts are very nice and welcoming persons who help you with everything. the house has a family sfeer. It's very carefully decorated. you can chose your place. most of the time the quests were together around the gardentable.

If you are after a lot of luxery you better look for another place but everything you need is there.

Lovely place to stay and relax, whilst visiting the area. Mercedes couldn't have been more helpful.

Mercedes is a fabulous hostess. THANK YOU. We enjoyed the supper that she cooked for us on our first night. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely and kept us well-fuelled for our cycling around the area. Mercedes kindly let us keep the bicycles inside. The setting is great. We wouldn't change anything.

Due to the character of the Cortijo building it would spoil it to have ensuite rooms. The shared bedroom was ample with a lovely powerful shower. A shared bathroom was not a problem for us, so long as you are aware that it is a shared.

Best place if you want to feel like home!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Mercedes, the host, is creating a very warm and welcoming atmosphere where you immediately feel like home. She has an eye for details, sharing lots of great tips what to explore in the area and has great recommendations for restaurants etc. She was even offering us a space to store and clean our diving equipment + tips for best dive sites. The place is offering many spots to relax and to enjoy the seaview and the shared bathroom was always super clean. We definitely come back when we're in the region. Muchas gracias por todo Mercedes!!!

Good vide place with exceptional hospitality and kindness and helpfulness of the owner

I enjoyed my stay so much. The house is very stylish, with an authentic interior. The entire house is clean, the bathroom is big, and the room is cozy. There is a charming balcony with a hammock, sofa, and beautiful view to the see, plus birdsong. The place has a very good vibe. I arrived with a motorcycle, and I could park it safely. Most importantly, the hospitality and kindness of the owner Mercedes are exceptional. I got a homemade, tasty, and fulfilling dinner and breakfast, which was a life saver :) I'm sure when I'll be around again, I'll return.

A little gem we loved so much! perfect place to rest facing the sea

This place is a gem! we loved it so much, a place in paradise, absolutely perfect to rest and disconnect. We were the first lucky guests in this old rider inn, beautifully restored with lots of taste. The room might seem small on the the picture but it is not, with a sea view and quality bed linen and furniture. You have a extra room with chairs, sofa and a terrasse to enjoy the sea view so lots of space to enjoy. The bathroom is huge and beautiful. Mercedes will welcome you like members of her family; she can offer you home-made dinner if requested, that you will enjoy on the terrace. You also have a large garden with flowers. The breakfast was super tasty with local products. And all of this for a small price. What else do you need? The area does not seem very touristy but great if you want to rest, and you can drive to nearby villages and beaches.
