About this house rental
The house comfortably sleeps 12 guests. With a queen-sized bed in the primary bedroom, a full-size bed in the secondary bedroom, and a twin pull-out couch in the office, 5 can sleep upstairs. Add a queen-sized air mattress, a daybed, and the couch in the living space and there is easily room for 8. Enter the basement to find a fully operating in-law suite with an additional bedroom equipped with a queen-sized bed and a pull out sofa; in total, 4 additional people can fit in the basement comfortably, bringing the house total to 12. While the basement unit is generally occupied by the owner of the home, it will be entirely cleared out for your use. The space is perfect for families, couples, considerate groups, friends, and business travelers.
The open concept first floor allows for space to unwind after exploring the city and its wonders (Cherry Blossoms, museums, the National Mall, pandas, etc.!) while enjoying each other's company. TV with Amazon Fire allows for ultimate relaxation!
The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig to start your day right, a microwave, refrigerator, oven, sink, and dishwasher. Perfect for at-home meals. Not much for cooking? Rest assured, we are surrounded by some of DC's top restaurants, cafes, and bars!

Positives:
clean and great location
Negatives:
*listed as 5 bedroom but I consider it a 4 bedroom and an office
*ladder to rooftop was not very sturdy
*alarm went off and police showed up multiple times, owner did offer a partial refund but it has been over a month and I have not received it
*when i took out the trash there was a giant rat on top of the trash can( I did not see any signs of rodents inside)

Lovely home. The host was very gracious answering any questions I had. The roof deck is fun. The neighborhood is a little sketchy.

The rooftop deck is a highlight. Also appreciated the two parking spots and many small touches, like the first aid kit and coffee.

When we arrived the trash cans were blocking the parking spaces and one of them smelled awful. Apparently they had not picked up all of the trash and we had to get out of the car and move the cans out of the parking area. The rugs in the common area were very stained and need to be washed. The tan futon (near the back door) has several stains that need to be cleaned. There was no paper towels in the kitchen area or in the downstairs half bath to wipe your hands. The water dispenser or the ice maker did not work on the fridge. And the bathrooms had hair in the sinks. The bath mat in one of the bathrooms upstairs appeared to be very old and needs to be tossed. The switch on one of the lamps in the main bedroom is broken and can not be turned on. One of the blankets in the small bedroom (with the futon) is also stained. Some of the glasses in the cabinet had lipstick stains on them, so we put them in the dishwasher when we left.
The house definitely has the potential to be a very nice stay, but in my opinion, it needed a good cleaning before our arrival. I was expecting a lot better.

This property was in excellent condition. A wonderful place to go “home” to every night after our day in DC. Public transportation is nearby so you can just park your vehicle and ride. One of the best places we have stayed.

We really enjoyed the space. Everyone was comfortable. We came for our fathers memorial services. The only issue we had was parking. I thought it would have been a better parking situation due to us having 3 cars. It was more on me for not asking more about the parking. I did have to park my truck a street over. The neighborhood was quiet so i wasnt concerned about my truck being to far but i could still run up the hill and see it. The only advice is make sure not to leave your car in the same spot to long to avoid a ticket like i did. Overall it was a nice quiet area. We didnt get to enjoy the roof top as we would have liked due to the weather.

We Booked this house for a quick one night getaway . 3 couples with not much time to hang at the house but could have been really fun with more time to hang out on that cute roof top! Plenty of space and seemed like a cute neighborhood to explore but again we didn’t have time.
Would for sure book again.

My family met in DC(coming from NY and Ohio) to attend a volleyball tournament and just get together. We had a wonderful stay at this property which was more than spacious and very clean. The owners were very responsive to questions and we truly had a wonderful time!

We had a wonderful stay. the location was close to The American University Museum where I am having an exhibit. The house was beautiful. They had everything we needed. There were 11 family members coming from different places and the space allowed us to enjoy each other's company. Thank. you.

Place was very nice. Was a little warm inside the house and gnats were inside but the house was very accommodating for our large group. Would recommend.

We booked this house for 4 days and three nights. It was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and well stocked with everything we needed from toiletries to kitchen ware. The linens were clean and freshly laundered. The parking pad was a huge plus. We had two cars and even though we reserved street parking through the owner we ended up squeezing both cars on the parking pad. The only drawback to this house is the neighborhood, which is pretty typical of most big cities. While it was within walking distance to local restaurants and shopping there were some shady characters hanging about, especially in the rear of the house. We didn’t feel unsafe while in the house and we spent most of our time sightseeing in DC, so it didn’t impact us except when walking to a local pizza place. Kate was amazing at answering all of our questions and was a great host!
