About this cabin rental
Welcome to White Star Point, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! This secluded waterfront cabin sits on a private, wooded, one acre lot in Southern Door County and is perfect for relaxing and reconnecting with family and nature. It is located below a bluff and right on the water with 178 feet of water frontage, so be prepared for a long steep driveway. The driveway is 540 feet long from the road to the house and it’s about a 50-foot drop and includes a 90-degree turn. There is a turn-around loop in front of the house. The home faces due west and sits on a point. You can watch spectacular sunsets right from the large windows in the open concept kitchen, dining and living room. From the shore you have a panoramic view of the beautiful waters of Green Bay. On a clear night from the water’s edge looking south you can see the Green Bay Harbor Entrance Lighthouse flashing red every four seconds and looking north you can see the Peshtigo Reef Lighthouse flashing white every six seconds. The dark night sky with limited artificial light offers a wonderful location for star gazing. Wildlife abounds, including turkey, eagles, owls and pelicans plus an occasional raccoon and fox. Bring your water shoes and enjoy a swim. The water is refreshing and much warmer than the lake side. Or just enjoy listening to the waves break against the shore as you read a book or write your next novel.
We love our family pet dogs and welcome yours too. Your well-behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. This property allows up to 3 dogs. There is a fee of $50 per dog/per night, which is collected separately and approximately one week prior to your check-in date.
**This home is geared toward quiet family vacations. Due to the shared driveway and peaceful neighborhood, we cannot accommodate bachelor/bachelorette parties, reunions or other rowdy gatherings.

Family reunion. Great family atmosphere, with a large fire pit. House is well appointed with large washer/dryer, high chair , fully stocked kitchen. Not a great place for swimming.
4.8
The title says it all! Making memories always!

This house was well appointed and had lots of space for our family. It was the most private and secluded place we have ever stayed at. The views were gorgeous and the sunsets over the water were spectacular. The Wifi was a little weak but that worked out in our favor to really unplug from the world and spend quality time playing board games and watching DVDs. Highly Recommend

You are about 20 mins from Sturgeon’s Bay, but you honestly don’t need to go anywhere! Sitting on the Bay is enough to solve any problems you have. The house has enough space for a large group and it is fairly stocked with anything you need (outside of food).
4.8
This property exceeded our expectations. Everything was as listed and described. The home is spacious and clean, the property is in a beautiful location. Wish we could have stayed longer. This has been our favorite property in Door County so far. Look forward to coming back again!

The manage team responded very quick and are very nice.
4.8
Beautiful setting, fabulous accommodations. Amazing view!
4.8
We really enjoyed this house. The 5 bedrooms were perfect for 5 couples. The kitchen was well supplied. The view of the water from the large windows was the best. If it wasn’t so cold we would have spent more time outside by the water. It is 20 minutes from Sturgeon Bay to grocery shop or for dinner. We spent all day Saturday driving the Route 42 loop through all the small Door Count towns.
4.8
Coffee and spices were supplied contrary to instructions. 5 bedrooms included the attach suite, this was not clear. Rooms were good size.
4.8
We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and supplied as advertised. The location is beautiful and so very relaxing. The only concern was the driveway into the property but with a bit of care it was manageable.
4.8
Nice stay but remote and about 30 mins from any activities in towns.

We had a wonderful time at our sister's weekend. We went to Sturgeon Bay for a day and then up to Ellison Bay and took the ferry to Washington Island.
The house was perfect for our needs with five bedrooms, a lovely dining area to watch the bay and play cards. We had a couple of fires down on the bay side and appreciated them.
4.8
I cannot express how great the location and view was. 10/10! More than enough space for 10 women. We put 2 in each room. Star gazing was the absolute best. Bay was warm. House was beyond perfect. Everyone truly enjoyed themselves. We did not want to leave. Kitchen was more than adequately stocked, both of them! We were definitely happy and all felt perfectly safe the whole weekend. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was very clean and comfortable.
4.8
small bedroom w/twin beds need to have dresser in half of the closet with shelf space. No place to put a darn thing in that tiny room. Need more hand towels in bathroom one is not nearly enough. Lawn couple came late, no time to go up and get garbage containers after they finally arrived, did lawn and took full cans up. Sorry, don't feel it was our fault.

We chose this property for a secluded vacation for three generations to meet. We had close access to all that Door County gas to offer but enjoyed a very private area right in the lake. The rooms were bigger than we expected and we loved every moment of our vacation. Thank you!
4.8
Great views of the lake. Spacious room for the entire family - grandparents, parents, children. Camp fire was a hit nightly with the accompanied smores!

Our family has been vacationing in Door County every year for the past 30 years, since our children were the ages of our now grandchildren. This property was perfect for a large family. We started every morning sitting by the lake in front of the campfire, and ended every evening the same way, watching the sunset. The water front is a large expanse, and the grandkids loved picking up rocks and throwing them in the lake. Unfortunately, the blue-green algae makes it so can’t actually wade in the water (it’s pretty gross, and blankets much of the shore), but this isn’t the owner’s fault. We were warned about the zebra mussels, so we made sure the kids had shoes just walking along the beach, but we didn’t allow them in the water. Fortunately, sitting above, listening to the waves and looking out over the lake…it’s beautiful. The house is equipped with everything you need for your comfort. It is a bit of a drive to get to anywhere in the rest of “The Door”, so be prepared for that. Be sure you have everything you need, because there’s not a quick place to run pick something up. But after a day of being around crowds, it was lovely to come back to peace and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Directions were on point and the house is very secluded and right on the water. Beautiful place!
4.8
We enjoyed our stay very much. Cleanliness was as expected as were the appliances and accommodations. Very relaxing and comfortable environment. We would gladly stay there again.
4.8
My husband and I stayed here with our teen/young adult children and my in laws. It was perfect for us with the separate suite/kitchen and all of us having our own bedroom. Not too far from sturgeon bay and the main door county attractions either if you’re looking to explore. The sunsets and view of the water in general were so gorgeous. I Would definitely recommend
4.8
This property is beautiful and you will love the peacefulness of sitting by the water. We loved watching the pelicans and other little water fowl. The house was fantastic! Plenty of room for our group of 8. We liked the room in the yard to play games also. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return to this property. Thank you!
4.8
Lovely setting on the bay. The interior is lacking. Few screens on windows and must have to open due to swarms of bugs. Windows and screens were dirty, in bad shape. Patio screen was ripped so we repaired with tape so could use it. House smelled musty, washer was dirty. Furnishing are used. Premium price for just an okay house.
4.8
We had a really great weekend staying here. The property is beautiful and more room than we thought we had. It was perfect for grandparents, parents and kids (ages 6, 4, 3 and 1) for the weekend. The property is well maintained and has a beautiful view. Be sure to check out the sunset!
4.8
Loved the view of the lake. Beds were comfortable.
4.8
Was a very relaxing place to spend a weekend

We’ll be back
4.8
We enjoyed our stay at this property. Located right on the bay, it is very private and peaceful.
4.8
Property & amenities were as described, the cabin was a little more rustic than what we expected but it was not a problem for us. We were able to stay with our beloved dog. Note: we did encounter a loose dog on the property on the first night of our stay, so just FYI in case you have a dog that does not like strange dogs coming up to them. The water does have a sulfur smell to it, so bring bottled water if that bothers you.
4.8
We enjoyed our stay, the view and sunsets were incredible! The location is remote and bit far from town so that was tough with a child but overall the house was very comfortable and just as advertised. Sunsets made it worth it!!
4.8
This home is secluded and comfortable and right on the water. All the comforts of home and then some. We loved it and it is a an easy 20 minute drive to Door County.
4.8
The house was clean and everything was as presented on the listing , it was quiet and peaceful with beautiful views, only issues for us was that it was out further and more rural than we expected , took longer to go to places in northern Door County than we had hoped but that was mentioned in the listing
one recommendation would be to have a broom available we would of liked to be able to do some light sweeping such as crumbs under the table etc. to keep up with our teenagers
4.8
Very nice property with a beautiful bay view.
4.8
Perfect family retreat on lake with beautiful sunset
4.8
Property as advertised, very private. We made sure we were back in time so we could watch the sun set every evening.
4.8
Great scenic lakeside house
We had a great stay at this house along the Green Bay. It had a great deal of privacy and beautiful view of the bay. The property is an hour+ drive from many of the northern Door County towns and attractions. Although it would have been nice to cut down on drive time by being further north, we enjoyed being tucked away next to farm land. The house was great and had plenty of space, but was not cleaned very well. Be prepared for yellow water high in sulfur. We got used to it quickly, but had to drink bottled water.
Overall, this was an excellent property that offered peace, scenery, and privacy. Just what we wanted for a family getaway with young kids.
4.8
Stinky water
The sunsets were spectacular. House is very "basic." Household water has high iron content. Some family members refused to take showers because of the smell. At minimum, the water at the kitchen sink needs to be treated.
4.8
The overall experience was nice. One of the showers and had a slow drain and the outside chairs need to be replaced.
4.8
Nice and beautiful scenery.
The overall experience was nice. One of the showers and had a slow drain and the outside chairs need to be replaced.
