About this house rental

Barnett Bungalow, by Kerrville Vacations, is a fully renovated cottage built in 1930. Just a few blocks from downtown, near restaurants, theaters, shopping, breweries, and parks. Barnett Bungalow offers two king bedroom suites with memory foam mattresses, an open concept kitchen/living/dining and original heart pine floors. Enjoy the spacious front porch or backyard deck, where you'll find a six-person hot tub and gas grill. And we are dog friendly!

THE KITCHEN:
- Open-concept floorplan with living/kitchen/dining spaces open to each other
- Cookware, spices, olive oil, mixing bowls, etc.
- Refrigerator (with icemaker)
- Electric stove/oven
- Dishwasher
- Dining table with seating for four
- Keurig coffee maker with starter packs of both decaf and regular coffee
- Pour over coffee pot and regular brew coffee pot (we do not provide coffee for these)
- Electric tea kettle is available

BEDROOMS:
- Two bedroom suites with king beds
- Memory foam mattresses
- Bedroom 1 is in the front of the house and bedroom 2 is located in the back

LIVING:
- Wifi
- Cable TV, Samsung Television channels and a smart TV to stream your own content
- Cozy throws
- Record player/records
- Books and games

BATHROOMS:
- Large shower in back bathroom
- Clawfoot tub/shower combo in front bathroom
- Soap, shampoo/conditioner and hair dryer provided

OUTDOORS:
- Large backyard, with a 6 person hot tub in the deck
- Outdoor seating for 4 on the deck
- Outdoor seating for 4 on the front porch
- Propane grill & utensils (propane provided)
- Partially fenced backyard

PARKING:
- Two parking spots in the driveway
- Additional parking on-street parking in front of the home

NEIGHBORHOOD:
- Close to downtown - 3 blocks
- Close to restaurants, theaters, bars, breweries, groceries, parks, and Schreiner University
- The neighborhood is in transition...some homes have been beautifully restored and more are being worked on every day. Some homes have not been updated at all. The area is quiet, with a
mixture of family homes, churches and other vacation rentals.

PETS:
- Dog friendly (see note below), however, the backyard is not completely fenced. You will want to keep your pup on a leash, as there are often deer in the yard and throughout the neighborhood.
- We welcome 2 dogs max for a $50 pet fee.
- In order to keep the property dog-friendly, we kindly ask that you clean up after them, both inside and outside (we provide dog waste bags at the home).
- There will be a $250 fee assessed if evidence is found that an undisclosed pet was brought onto the property.
- Please do not allow your dog on any furniture.
- Please do not leave your dog unattended in the home unless you have a crate. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!!!
- We do not allow cats in the home.

SMOKING:
Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside the home. If you choose to smoke outdoors, please stay a minimum of 25 feet from the home and remove any traces of cigarette butts.

A rental agreement and damage deposit are required prior to arrival. A $500 hold will be placed on guest's credit card two days prior to reservation date and released once the property has been assessed for damages. There is NO CHARGE to guest's credit card unless there are property damages. The hold is automatically released after the reservation. We have never withheld a deposit before, and very likely will never have to, because we have the most awesome guests!!! Please review our cancellation policy prior to booking.

This property is a jewel! If we had stayed longer we would have utilized the hot tub on the deck. Everything was just perfect and cottage appointed with all convienances! So close to Schreiner where we were moving our daughter into her dorm!

We booked this house for our week long stay in Kerrville. Our son was attending a camp nearby and opted to work remotely in Kerrville vs trekking back and forth. The internet speed worked great for us. The house has 2 comfortable king beds, two beautiful en-suite bathrooms, lovely front porch, lovely back porch. It was too hot to hang on the patios. But we enjoyed seeing the deer in the yard and the close proximity to the coffee shop, HEB, and restaurants. We’d gladly come back.

An absolutely amazing property! The hosts were great, the neighborhood extremely quiet, close to downtown within easy walking distance. Upscale new bathrooms and kitchen. Beautifully decorated. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever had on vacation. The hosts thought through every detail for their guests to feel at home. The biggest surprise and delight was the herd of deer that are present in this neighborhood. My only disappointment was the backyard fence was not completely enclosed, so our dog could be off leash. The host stated the reason being is this neighborhood is the deer's natural habitat and they didn't want to take it away from them. I was so happy to hear that and our family loved seeing the deer so closely.

The Barnett house is beautifully and tastefully appointed, with well maintained facilities, crisp linens, and comfortable furniture. It lies on a relatively quiet street, where you'll find yourself watching friendly deer graze across yards while relaxing in the hot tub. Walking distance to the local brewery!

We enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect. We loved the updated house with the original wood floors. All of the amenities not only met but exceeded our expectations. And the deer in the morning and evening provided an extra bonus. Will stay again if we are in the area in the future.

My 10 yr old daughter and I just wanted to get away for the day. The house is beautiful, clean, and perfect for what we needed. The jacuzzi was very relaxing and being able to bring our Yorkie was just what we needed. Owners were responsive, communication was great, and they were easy to work with.

This place is a gym, so unique and so much character would absolutely stay here again I had no idea Cargyle had so much to offer Willie touch the surface. It was a great base camp to enjoy the hill country. Encourage anyone looking for a small place to stay out of the beaten path to find a way to Kerrville and stay here.

Traveled to Kerrville for a Volleyball Tournament. Choose to stay at a house instead of a hotel with another mom. The property was just as described. We really enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after sitting in a gym all day.

Very cute and comfy house in old Keerville. We enjoyed our stay from the minute we walked in, including our 16 month old daughter. The beds are great (better than my own!), the house is clean and nicely renovated without losing its originality. The deer in the yard during the evening and morning was just icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

A good value for your money. Clean, comfortable, you ladies may even say "cute." I liked the grill once the owner came by and changed the batteries on it! Unfortunately, did not have time to try the hot tub. My only negative was there were too many decorative pillows on the bed. But we'd definitely stay there again.

This cozy bungalow was all that is advertised. We only spent one night so we didn’t use the hot tub or kitchen but the bed was very comfortable the shower was amazing and the living room was very comfortable as well. The deer were so beautiful. Only wish we could have spent time on the deck watching them (our fault, not the property’s). Kelly was very very informative sending texts along with the email with our check in information.

We loved this property! It was extremely clean, very well maintained. Plenty of space for a 2BR, functional kitchen, nice neighborhood. We were able to easily walk to our favorite cafe in Kerrville.

We love this property! It is a wonderful place to stay. It is beautifully furnished and decorated, has everything we need in the kitchen/bathroom and it is very roomy. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. The backyard is great with the hot tub and seating area. We loved watching the deer roam around the area. The neighborhood is quiet. This house is close to anything we need, shopping, groceries, restaurants. It is too far to walk, but it only takes minutes in the car.
